Had to laugh at this version of the famous Norwegian commentators blast from the 1980’s aimed at famous professional Scots who have supported England's opponents over the years…
Are you listening Sean Connery? (Lived in the Bahamas, Marbella and Nice).
Rod Stewart (lives in Hertfordshire and Los Angeles).
Nichola Sturgeon (lives in London).
Peter Murrell (still lives in Scotland at HMP Edinburgh).
Andy Murray (lives in USA).
The Proclaimers (if you walk 500 miles then 500 more in any direction you are out of Scotland).
Your boys took a hell of a beating.
A ha (for Rogie). ??????

Argentina have been fortunate to reach the semi final, Bit like England really. However, they have played with flare, and scored lots of goals from different positions and players!
England need to attack the Argies, go for it, show the world what we can do! Spence was immence when he came on, he's taking his chance and putting himself in the shop window.
Bellingham is playing to his potential, with Kane being Kane!
No more side to side, side to back, forward and forward, let's put the Argies to the sword for once.
Then maybe we won't be hanging on in the end, biting finger nails or screaming at the TV to play football!
Come on you Lions. ? ? ?
13 Jul 2026 10:43:16
Just a thought….
This is the first time the top 4 ranked teams in the current world rankings have all reached the World Cup semi finals.
As the 4th ranked team, we are officially the underdogs. At least if we do go out at this stage, we have reached par for the course, an achievement in itself.
So, logically and statistically Skeggs, this is the time to put a bet on the opposition and try to recoup the money you’ve chucked away mate ??.
13 Jul 2026 12:33:09
Think you're right, Stokey. Everyone is saying France will win the cup. Now I'm not a betting man, I've never been in a bookies in my life, and my wages were too hard to earn just to hand them over to bookmakers. But if I was, I'd have a sneaky bet on Spain winning the cup.
13 Jul 2026 13:08:52
I think France will win the "Trophy" personally.
???
13 Jul 2026 14:18:19
How many times in past tournaments have we said 'don't write off Ze Germans'? They are usually efficient, doing just enough each game. Ringing any bells? In Tommy Turtle, we have a winner; barring international achievements, he is by far the most decorated of all the coaches left.
If we turn up Wednesday night with the attitude that it's a normal, run of the mill Premier League game, we'll run all over them. They are an aging side that, physically output-wise, are the poorest of the sides left. ?
13 Jul 2026 14:23:52
You three are very disloyal, as I hope you are all Englishmen. Seriously, I believe England will win the World Cup this year. We have 3 world class players in Bellingham, Kane and Anderson. Dare I say, Bellingham is on top of the world atm? We have not played any of these three recently under TT.
We will beat Argentina, having seen them play. France will beat Spain. All results depend on no gaffs! Whoever can call the final? For me, as a loyal subject, it will be England. They not only have star players, but team spirit and probably the best manager.
13 Jul 2026 14:27:32
The stadium in Atlanta has a roof and aircon, so there should be no climate problems. England have played at altitude, in heavy rain, and at 35 degrees of heat, so it makes a change.
13 Jul 2026 15:45:53
Yes, Nuno, I am British and in my post I made a clear opinion on betting and where the masses thought who would win the Trophy. I've said, at the beginning of the tournament, I wasn't bothered about it, and that is still my opinion.
I'm just glad that our Forest players have come back without any problems. As Forest supporters, we should be concentrating on next season and survival.
13 Jul 2026 15:53:15
Totally agree, Vale. Some fans on here have been pointing out it's fixed anyway, so I can't see why they're so bothered about it. Because if they're right, we will lose, and it's just daft to watch it if you think it's fixed.
13 Jul 2026 16:01:37
I'm with you, Nuno. ? Very disloyal from Rogie, in particular. ? ?
13 Jul 2026 20:47:18
Some posters on here seem to think Trump and Infantino didn't conspire to have the USA's top scorer's red card overturned too.
It's only a short hop to exert influence to have Quansah's ban doubled, isn't it?
I personally think FIFA will want a South American team in the final to play a European team for ratings globally.
I'm reminded of the story of the lady who was asked by a chap "Will you have sex with me for a million quid?"
The lady says, "Of course, for a million quid I'll do anything."
He says, "What if I offered you a fiver for sex?"
She says, "No, certainly not.
What sort of a girl do you think I am?"
The bloke replies, "Well, we've already established what sort of a girl you are. Now we're just haggling over the price." ???
FIFA under Infantino are a bit like that, imo. They'll do anything for a backhander, imo.
13 Jul 2026 21:08:08
And Rogie, was just a joke my friend. I bet you hate being tarred with the 'English man' brush lol.
Stokey, i have a feeling that Ufea will try and block Infantinos 64 team World Cup, heard they have already held meetings with IFAB.
Without European sides a World Cup would be, errr, a little like Skegs attempts at getting a rise out of us, empty, lacking and limp. ??
13 Jul 2026 21:33:35
Thanks, Stokie. I was going to count sheep to get some sleep, no need to now. ? No wonder everyone has disappeared over the last few days, you've sent them all to sleep. ???
13 Jul 2026 21:47:08
I'm amazed that a true Forest fan can't remember being denied a UEFA Cup Final due to corruption in 1984.
Remember Emilio Mouro, the ref bribed by Anderlecht chairman Vanden Stock to cheat Forest out of a final?
Anderlecht still have a stand named after their bent chairman to this day. UEFA did basically nowt when it came to light in 1997.
Mouro's bribe was £15 grand.
The stakes now are far, far greater, in the billions.
Of course the fact that Infantino is a protege of the illustrious Sepp Blatter and Trump is a multiple convicted fraudster has no bearing on my views.
Skeggs, you might as well have a kip, mate, for all the knowledge you have of what's going on in the world of football, mate...
13 Jul 2026 21:57:52
Anyone can also Google all of that, Stokey.
13 Jul 2026 23:01:55
They can, Skeggs. But I don't need to. It's common knowledge amongst proper Forest fans of my age.
13 Jul 2026 23:50:51
And my old lol, every Forest fan should know. ?
14 Jul 2026 01:06:36
Age even. ?
14 Jul 2026 08:19:59
I don't know who you were replying to there, Stokie, but it definitely wasn't me. 1 too many sherries, I think. Anyway, great night's sleep last night. I will, after, read your comments more often at bedtime. ?? Come on Spain. Spain to win on penalties.
14 Jul 2026 10:04:29
With you on that one, Skeggs.
14 Jul 2026 12:12:11
I guess you know all about sheep, Barry.
?????

12 Jul 2026 16:31:42
Far be it from the likes of me to question TT’s team selection but we do look much more solid with proper wing backs like Spence and James (even though the latter originally came on as a holding midfielder). With 3 centre backs (probably Guehi, Stones (both comfortable on the ball and stepping into midfield) and Dan Burn). As soon as Burn came on we looked solid on corners and balls into the box.
The wingers, especially Madueke, were double marked. Saka got more success when he came on as their film backs got knackered in the heat.
TTS subs were almost exclusively attacking ones so credit to him for that.
We did it without Rice, one of our key players who was obviously unfit. It was released as him having a sickness bug but also “ neural pains in his back and legs” which sounds worryingly like sciatica. You can’t play any sport with that, never mind a World Cup quarter final in 34 degrees.
He’ll be crucial on Wednesday trying to shackle Messi.
Anyone know which stadium and who the reffing team is yet?
12 Jul 2026 19:50:40
"If You Don't Row Me By Now."
Stokey!!!
????
12 Jul 2026 22:20:55
Didn't see wing-backs or even three at the back.
Konsa played right back.
12 Jul 2026 22:24:46
Mad Duke is garbage at this level znywayv.
13 Jul 2026 09:01:53
You didn't see 5 at the back in extra time then, DTP? Which game were you watching?
13 Jul 2026 09:51:55
By extra time, the panda pops had kicked in. ??
13 Jul 2026 10:20:00
Same v Mexico. Sensible tactics when defending a lead, anyway, and the wing backs, James and Spence, carry a threat going forward.
Just wondered whether they may be sensible starting like this v Argentina?
In Tommy Turtle we trust...
13 Jul 2026 11:11:29
Nah, we should go toe to toe with Argentina. We have the better players, plus the Argies don't have two wide men. ?
13 Jul 2026 21:26:51
You're talking only about the last ten minutes of extra time, stokey. I'm talking about the whole game; you didn't understand what you were watching.
So you watched 110 minutes not knowing the formation. ??
14 Jul 2026 11:22:53
I did specify "extra time" DTP mate. You're not good on detail are you? You'd never make a detective .?????
12 Jul 2026 12:39:29
Are you listening King Harald?
Henrik Ibsen
Roald Amundsen
Edvard Greig
Edvard Munch
Your boys took a hell of a beating….
Well, hardly. The tightest of contests. Oddly enough, in a pre match phone conversation to a mate of mine, who asked me for an off the cuff prediction, I said a one nil or two one win after extra time.
It was decided by the width of a crossbar and a goalkeeping error at the end of the day.
I thought the ref and officials did well, good communication with the players, difficult VAR decisions calmly explained.
The game was played in good spirits with healthy respect between two sets of players well known to each other. None of this rolling around on the ground as if they’d been shot, arguing and trying to cheat.
I think the Argentina game will be the exact opposite.
Speaking of which, I see Argentina cheated their way to another victory with more dodgy reffing. I will reserve judgement until I’ve seen a full replay later.
All the credit will go to Bellingham but this win was built on the immense work and passing, short and long of our Elliott. Unnoticed but incredible in that heat….
12 Jul 2026 13:51:47
You forgot "Aha!!"

12 Jul 2026 14:09:59
??" Harlands rowing home.
He's rowing home...... ????♂️??♂️??♂️??♂️
12 Jul 2026 16:14:10
Hey, Rogie
Sounds like Steve Coogan's brilliant Alan Partridge: "Knowing me, knowing you... A ha". ????
12 Jul 2026 16:50:38
Stokey, which goalkeeper's error? Not Pickford's best game.
12 Jul 2026 17:00:49
Yes, Oakham, I meant for the winner, mate. A poor spill right into Jude's path, 6 yards out.
12 Jul 2026 17:06:26
I know what you meant, Stokey. Just being a bit mischievous. ?
12 Jul 2026 18:14:47
I agree that Pickford was a long way from the level he achieved against Mexico, mate. Top class keeper, but he's always got a mistake in him.
I think he misjudged the cross cum shot cum mishit, which could have gone anywhere.
Most goalkeepers would fear being castigated for being beaten at his near post, which he was covering, and in the end he was deceived by a fluke...
12 Jul 2026 19:23:22
"He's rowing home."
Stokey, Epic!!!
12 Jul 2026 19:48:40
Or, Stokey?
"Rowing Me Rowing You!!!"
Ahaaaaaaaaaa!
?????
12 Jul 2026 21:09:50
Excellent. ?????
12 Jul 2026 12:00:25
Would love to see Forest line up like this against Leeds
Sels
Cunha
Milenkovic
Murrilo
Read
Bergvall
Sangare
Williams
Jones
MGW
Openda.
12 Jul 2026 11:38:31.
Why are Mainoo, Watkins and Toney doing there
Zero minutes for any of them and when Rice came off he plays Reece James in midfield.
12 Jul 2026 16:53:52
Well, obviously Watkins and Toney are there in case Kane gets injured. Don't know about Mainoo, but I haven't got a team to a World Cup semi-final on my first attempt, though I probably could. ?
12 Jul 2026 11:35:02
Dan Ndoye scored again for Switzerland last night. Roma want him on the cheap. I think he’s worth keeping and play him as a 10 alongside MGW.
12 Jul 2026 19:24:05
I'd give him a second chance, definitely.
12 Jul 2026 08:52:24
England have a committed, intelligent, manager who is not afraid to show emotion. To his animation on the touch line, hydration breaks and interviews you realise what sort of man this is.
Although I am not a fan of the FA, and xenophobically wouldn’t want a G manager from Germany, this manager will win the World Cup for England.
PS Glasner will be the same for Forest!
12 Jul 2026 16:16:54
Hope you're right about OG Nono. We had a successful, passionate and charismatic manager in VP, but I'm sure Mr M knows what he's doing, mate. ?
