What a result.
Taiwo was only on for two minutes but thought it was a really good pass for Anderson.
Hope jair.c is ok.Been filling in really well

I hope that you don't mind 'mentioning the unmentionable' - but I wonder how many of you are sharing my thoughts, wishing that we didn't have the extra European games to face vs Villa. Given our circumstances in the PL and threadbare squad, frankly I think it's a distraction we could do without.
I think we've done surprisingly well to get to the semi's.
Progress into the finals would be amazing - however, we would need to field the majority of our 1st team to stand a chance against Villa over 2 legs (excuse the pun). Personally, I think that the inevitable fatigue and injuries would jeopardise our PL future. Time to draw a line under our European adventure and field our 2nd team?
25 Apr 2026 21:08:05
We'll win it, qualify for Champions League. Lego. No chance of us going down anyway.
25 Apr 2026 21:44:16
Today's results, unfortunately, mean we will have to rein in our Europa hopes in terms of team selection. I think, had Spurs lost, then 8 points plus goal difference clear, with 12 to play for, would have given us a bit more scope.
As it is, like I said in a previous tedious post, the Europa is a bit like Murat's capture of Vienna a week or so before Austerlitz. A glittering prize, but ultimately irrelevant in relation to the big battle.
25 Apr 2026 22:07:09
Why worry, their remaining fixtures say they aren't capable of catching us.
And we have to lose 3 anyway.
That's a massive ask, and we are the form team.
25 Apr 2026 22:09:35
Sorry fuve still not hapoening.
25 Apr 2026 22:09:07
DTP - I love your optimism mate, but I'm not convinced. Stokey - I think that's a very fair appraisal. Tedious, as usual from you, but I share your views on this my friend.
25 Apr 2026 22:30:34
We aren't going down.
Tedious?
No, just positive and why I renewed my season card before the Sunderland game.
You either believe or you don't.
Facts are right in front of you, and we hammered Sunderland last night.
I'd be seriously worried if I was a Spurs fan.
26 Apr 2026 07:06:01
DTP, it's a four horse race for relegation, unfortunately.
Forest have the less favourable games to play.
Would you rather throw all the eggs into one basket, ie Premiership survival, or gamble for a place in the European final?
We're not in a position to fulfil both, unfortunately.
26 Apr 2026 07:10:38
DTP, love your enthusiasm, and I hope you are right.
If VP plays Jesus and Wood together, we stand a chance; however, we're not safe yet.
I really hope Spurs go down, that would be fantastic.
26 Apr 2026 08:20:08
The only change from before our thumping of Sunderland was that we improved our goal difference by 4.
I expected Spurs to beat Wolves, but they made hard work of it (and lost Solanke and Simons to injury).
I was disappointed that Everton lost. I anticipated at least a point apiece.
Late goals and fine margins.
I think VP is going to have to magic at least one more win (or a few draws) to set our minds at rest.
26 Apr 2026 08:26:20
He will definitely need to pull a rabbit ? out.
If he plays Jesus and Wood going forward, I believe that is the equation for the last few games.
26 Apr 2026 09:00:03
I can see Villa concentrate on winning the UEFA, which could leave Tottenham with a good chance of beating Villa in between our 2 games against us, because I can see Villa putting a weakened side out against them. And, DTP, I wasn't particularly worried about going down after the last few games until you threw your prediction in.
Until we have the points on the board that say we're stopping up, I ain't predicting nothing; this is Forest after all.
26 Apr 2026 10:16:36
You may well be right, Skegs. Villa are 8 points clear in 5th place (a Champions League spot) with 12 points to play for. They are comfortable and can afford to go for it against us.
Red in Ripley, again, you are right about us having the most difficult run in.
Rule of thumb, but our remaining fixtures average out at our combined opponents league position of 8th.
Spurs 10th.
West Ham 10th.
Leeds 15th ie the easiest.
26 Apr 2026 10:36:42
Having seen the West Ham highlights, I should have said late goals, fine margins and Stuart Atwell (again) not giving (or VAR even reviewing) a nailed-on Everton penalty.
Is Operation "Save the big London Clubs" now in full swing?
26 Apr 2026 21:53:28
We are looking after business ourselves, Stokey.
And that's the important bit.
Football is played on grass, not on paper.
Pundits all got Sunderland v Forest wrong by miles.
25 Apr 2026 18:37:27
Happy Saturday chaps and chappettes! Well, just watched the highlights from the Wolves v Spurs game; be interesting to see MOTD later. Andre should have seen a red card for the 2-footed challenge! Also, was the VAR a Spurs fan? The scorer looked clearly offside, but again, MOTD should clear that up.
The results this weekend are pulling more sides into the drop zone, Leeds, Forest, Newcastle, C Palace! Interesting situation!

There are only four games left.
Spurs struggled to beat Wolves, and need seven points just to catch us on goal difference, and that's if we lose the next 3.
That's a tall order.
26 Apr 2026 07:37:48
DTP, we are 5 points ahead of Spurs, with a GD of 6 goals over them.
We are 3 points ahead of West Ham, with a GD advantage of 12, mate.
25 Apr 2026 18:33:33
Yes Bowie, Russians too. Chelsea's been cheating ever since they took over, worse now with yanks in charge. I picked Anderson to score the "winner" on Friday, going for Scienza to score late on 1-0 to the Saints.
25 Apr 2026 23:35:49
Proud of ya Shepp. ?
25 Apr 2026 16:32:42
Wham, Everton, Wolves and Spurs all playing with a lone striker. Shots on target in the first half = 1 from Everton, 0 from all 3 others, cant win a fight if your scared to throw a punch. Think Spurs will finish 3rd from bottom but expecting Man City to get done 60 pts and go down instead.
25 Apr 2026 17:20:25
I agree, Shepp. Especially Wham playing George Michael up front. Reminds me of Silenzi.
25 Apr 2026 17:29:10
Come on Southampton, for me like the Russians strip em of owning any sport in this country. Just saying.
25 Apr 2026 17:47:49
Bowie, that was only a "Careless Whisper", mate.
???
25 Apr 2026 17:48:50
Sorry arabs I'm on about. Ps cannot stand shearer, but brilliant striker.
25 Apr 2026 17:55:06
Just goes off who takes the different corners the diamond. Most of the young guns get the jitterbugs.
25 Apr 2026 19:22:44
Good job we won last night, with the Hammers and Spurs winning today, the gaps closing against.
25 Apr 2026 19:27:07
Like it, Bowie, lol.
25 Apr 2026 19:27:35
I happen to think we're "Amazing!!"
25 Apr 2026 20:31:32
My god, gents, snore fest, please "wake me up before I gogo". ?
25 Apr 2026 22:04:10
For you to bore us with usual stuff erm please coma for me Only bit banter . And p. off with the broccoli.
25 Apr 2026 22:45:27
?? It was a joke, you touchy old git. I was looking for an excuse to write "wake me up before I gogo". ?? I think you need to eat more broccoli, mate. A balanced diet improves mood and well-being. ??
25 Apr 2026 23:01:32
Sorry Winter. ?
25 Apr 2026 23:08:02
No troubles, bubbles. ?
25 Apr 2026 16:03:21
Spurs still 0-0. If it stays there we're safe.
25 Apr 2026 16:19:26
Stokey, I take him off the road. You've got my back. Remember the plan.
25 Apr 2026 16:42:21
?
You know it's true.
25 Apr 2026 16:46:22
They've fecking scored. Looks like we might need another point. ? ? ?
25 Apr 2026 16:50:46
Everton have equalised with West Ham though. Swings and roundabouts.
25 Apr 2026 11:46:29
We've gone from being totally hopeless at set pieces to looking like scoring every time. I heard VP saying his coaches had worked on them during the week. About time! Onwards to Thursday, a close game but confident.
25 Apr 2026 13:00:39
Rather than playing it straight in, they seemed to have worked on taking it short. Nice to see them using their brains. ?
25 Apr 2026 13:38:09
We have gone from counter attacking under Nuno, and at times park the bus, to reckless under Ange, not quite sure of what was required under Dyche.
Now we seem to have found the happy medium under VP, with clear, simple instructions.
25 Apr 2026 16:02:49
Great performance. Good coaching, players focused. If only we'd got VP sooner.
Onwards and upwards. Villa next!
25 Apr 2026 11:24:31
Just want to say how good it was to see young Netz get a chance last night. Played well for the limited time he had on the pitch and was instrumental in the build up to the 5th goal. ?
25 Apr 2026 13:22:25
5th goal, you say. Fifth!!!!!
25 Apr 2026 10:28:13
I can’t add anything to the superlatives already posted.
Scintillating attacking performance first half with organized pressing and ruthless finishing, forcing mistakes from a team that are usually well organised defensively. Followed by a disciplined defensive display second half, despite yet another injury loss to a key centre back.
I’m assuming the substitution of Sanghere was tactical with a glut of games coming up?
VP is a brilliant man manager and a superb tactician. He’s somehow found a way to get Jesus in his most effective position as number 10 behind Woody whilst keeping MGW happy scoring goals for fun, out wider but tucked in when out of position.
25 Apr 2026 11:52:31
I think TV said Sangare had a minor knock.
Well done, Stokey, a post without a quote from some random dead poet, only joking. ?
25 Apr 2026 21:48:16
Thanks MV, but at the end of the day, mate, and today's results...
"Ours is not to reason why
Ours is but to do or die"
Damn it, there I go again... ?????
25 Apr 2026 08:56:27
To be perfectly honest I thought I had dreamt the whole thing, and thought this was Friday morning! However, I looked at the sports news, there it was, and my jaw dropped!
Sunderland 0-5 Forest
Match that, Londoners!
