Love it, mate. ??

We love Mr M. ?
24 Aug 2026 13:08:13
Our very own Greek God! ?
24 Aug 2026 13:37:40
I can tell you, Cyclist, that I was looking at statues of Greek gods on the Acropolis about 2 months ago, mate, and Mr M does not in any way fit the profile..... ???
24 Aug 2026 15:38:08
I think when I write to Mr M, I might include that picture and say, 'Can we have that on the front page of the website to wind up the newspaper writers?'
A lot of the negative coverage of Mr M comes from newspaper writers in London. Where are Spurs and Palace? London. They hate Forest.
23 Aug 2026 17:24:27
With Liverpool to come soon, it's worth seeing Isak's big return to St James' Park is not going well. He's not having the best of times, and great to see Elanga score another decent goal!

Unfortunately, we suffered a defeat due to a free kick. Prior to that, a draw seemed likely. We have completed one game with many more remaining. Do we anticipate at least three new players joining the team to achieve better balance?
I believe Marinakis should observe Leeds and Farke and note how maintaining faith in a coach can yield positive results.
Hopefully, he has realised that employing numerous coaches has only served to damage his reputation, and by sticking with OG, makes sense.
Dust off the loss, move fourth and get results.

Excellent post, Ripley.
By the way, the inventor of predictive text passed away recently. ?

May the fourth be with us.

Thanks for the thought, Vale, but sorry mate, I've had to cancel. Hopefully, I'll be there for at least one home game later on in the season.
23 Aug 2026 11:54:25
Watching MOTD, it was clear that Hull and Ipswich made some great signings, and Coventry also look strong. So maybe Forest do need to sort the squad out before deadline day, or it could be another scrap of a season!
I'm not being all doom and gloom, but it was painful yesterday.
Poor team selection and some players who are not suited to the Premier League. The finishing of chances let us down big time against another strong side in Dirty Leeds!

Don't really see what Ndoye brings to the team. Hope he proves me wrong, but I doubt it.
23 Aug 2026 13:02:44
Not a lot, oakhamred. He never seems to get out of 1st gear, but in any case he brings a lot more than Igor Jesus, who should have been substituted instead for another shocking display. Ndoye has some ability when he decides to use it, but needs to contribute a lot more.
23 Aug 2026 13:11:54
Red hot red, not sure what you were watching, Jesus had a decent game, he's just not a striker, but we knew that anyway. Ndoye, I've never seen him have a decent game for Forest.
23 Aug 2026 13:41:30
Not being doom and gloom? What's it like when you are? ?
23 Aug 2026 13:53:41
If Leeds looked loads better than us, I'd be more upset. But they didn't.
23 Aug 2026 14:11:29
Totally agree, Stevie, at least Jesus gives it all he's got, but is not really a centre forward, or at least a first choice one, unfortunately.
23 Aug 2026 14:45:03
Jesus had a good game imo. He's best playing off a big striker imo. Under OG's system, 5. 3. 1. 1 becomes 5. 4. 1. Out of possession.
23 Aug 2026 15:06:29
Well, it's not just Forest and Glasner having a bad day. Spurs thrashed, 300 million spent, Man Utd beaten by Hull. Villa smashed by Brighton, and now Bournemouth beating City, and apparently Anderson having one of his worst games ever. ? Looks like Mr M done a great deal, 116 million. ?? Pants down, City.
23 Aug 2026 15:08:02
Redkeef, I'm totally convinced the 3 that came up will go down. Coventry froze, as far as I could see, they were shocking. Hull will have their odd day, but I think they'll struggle to get 20 points. Ipswich aren't any better than last time they came up, possibly worse. We'll see.
23 Aug 2026 15:17:01
I see Elliot Floperson is having another mare. He ought to give Johnno a ring for morale support. ??
23 Aug 2026 15:20:03
??? Larry, the Judas duo Anderson, as I said, sold at under half price next year and end up at Palace. ??
23 Aug 2026 15:30:57
He would look good back in the new Forest shirt with the new sponsors Mare..ex. He's having plenty. ??
23 Aug 2026 16:25:52
Just let it go lads???
23 Aug 2026 17:49:09
Jesus had a good game? We lost at home to one of the worst teams in the Premier League, who weren't even at their best. No goals. Every time he got the ball, it was a 15 yard lay-off because he can't turn. No shots on target, inside or outside the box.
A header bounced over the bar from 5 yards. Several injury balls from him. No direct runs to take on their average defence. That's what I watched from Igor Jesus and everybody sitting around me.
23 Aug 2026 19:49:19
Ignore them, Rogie. Just two frustrated Leicester fans, whose team lost to mighty Burton Albion at home on Saturday, mate.
Neither have, clearly, never ever turned down a promotion or pay increase in their lives.
23 Aug 2026 19:58:35
RHR, I doubt very much that Leeds will be one of the worst teams in the Premier League this season, mate. Mid-table, like us, I predict.
How do you know Leeds weren't at their best? How many times have you seen them play, especially with their new signings. We looked on a par, and I predicted a nil nil or a one nil.
Unfortunately, it went to them from a brilliant free kick. Sels 99 times out of a 100 will save those. Just one of those days.
Jesus put a shift in and had a good game against a well organised team, especially defending. He's playing out of position, as I said.
At times towards the end of last season he was unplayable.

Living the Glasner Mr M dream. ?

One of the things I’ve been banging on about since Mr M took over in 2017 is continuity (or in our case, lack of it). He’s appointed 10 permanent managers in 9 years. Only 2 have achieved anything: Sc for getting us promoted, miraculously from bottom of the table, and Nuno for getting us into Europe. Vp was doing very well but we will never know how far he could have taken us.
So, statistically it’s easy to work out that Mr M’s manager success rate is only 20%.
Take a look at Farke yesterday.
Signed by Leeds on a 4 year deal in July 2023. Took them up, survived the first season, solid mid table last season and will be upper half of this season.
Also, got the backing to get his key incoming transfers done early, Trafford the goalkeeper, Harry Wilson the player and the big lad at Cb. All of whom played key parts yesterday.
Meanwhile, as I said, Mr M keeps trying to build a house without foundations and is always surprised when it keeps falling down…….

Leeds went up last season.
23 Aug 2026 12:07:05
Comms in the wrong place 67, mate. First season back was last season. Solid mid table.
The point I'm making is that Mr M would have sacked him in the first season in the Championship when he lost in the play-offs and then at Christmas when Leeds were hovering around the bottom three.
A good manager needs time to build something. What do I always say? At least 3 windows and 2 seasons.
Managers at Forest, even good ones, can only dream of having the time and backing that Farke has had.
23 Aug 2026 12:21:55
I mentioned Friday night. He will need time. He tends to take a while to get his teams going.
Given time, I think he will do well.
23 Aug 2026 14:47:25
I agree OG should be given time, as with every manager. I mean, how long did he get at Palace before he won trophies?
Sadly, it's not Mr M's style...
23 Aug 2026 17:14:14
Impatience is a fast horse, but a bad rider. It leads to poor choices, missed opportunities, and self-inflicted trouble.
23 Aug 2026 17:23:18
Brilliant Ripley,...
Are you Yoda in disguise, mate?. ???
23 Aug 2026 19:51:23
More like Princess Leia. ??
23 Aug 2026 19:52:52
Yoda is wise, whereas I am merely an opinionated donkey. ?

Or, the one lifted straight from Sun Tze "When your enemy is making mistakes, don't interrupt him"...
24 Aug 2026 10:17:03
I used to love the Japanese drama series “Monkey” back in the day. It had a cult following mainly due to the dramatic pauses in the highly improbable action sequences during which a character would come out with a pearl of wisdom to camera.
The one I remember is “ Wealth is a thrifty wife” …..???
23 Aug 2026 10:41:16
Milenkovic looked well off the pace imo yesterday and gave away the needless free kick that Leeds scored from his place must be in doubt as he doesn’t suit a back three.

I've been wondering about who makes way for Diomande Munmad. In the Serb's favour is his leadership, experience, and organisational qualities.
Cunha is young and unlike Milenkovic, is a ball playing CB like Murillo. It's like having an extra midfielder, like Stones at Man City.
23 Aug 2026 10:38:22
I would play this team against Leeds on Tuesday
Sels
Diamonde
Cunha
Murrilo
Williams
Schlager
Dominguez
Netz
McAtee
Gibbs White
Wood.

OG will rest a number of players, like Sels, MGW, Williams, Mactee Ainia, Jesus, and play the bench. The Leeds manager will do the same.
