Saw nothing to change my mind on the transfer window. Needed more quality in midfield. Murillo comes off injured, no defensive cover now. Playing way too many long balls. We will be better away from home.

McAtee and Schlager not the answer in midfield. A word on the ref, shocking. Is that word, I’ve always said he’s the worst ref in the league, and that’s saying something. He did nothing to change my opinion today.

All I saw was the odd arm urging them forward.
If the message isn't getting through, Ollie, then let them know it!!!
Part of the trouble might be with such a small squad and potential injuries, they probably know that they're more than in with a shout to get playing time.

It's not just having the legs.
Williams has the legs but can't cross or shoot. He can't even score when the ball just needs blowing over the line. ??.
Aina is quality and will run himself into the ground for an hour. Unfortunately, then, though, he more often than not has to come off as he's cream crackered.

Personally, I don't like this system.
Most teams play with one striker, so why 3 centre backs?
Asking fullbacks/wingbacks to do a winger's job, which is one of the most skilful positions.
The absence of any out-and-out wingers, coupled with no pace at all throughout the team, is leading to a lack of goals.

My brother, who was at the game in my place today, said (unprompted) it was worse than Dycheball. "Grimmer" was the actual word he used. I’ll have to reserve judgement until I’ve watched it on Forest TV.
Two mediocre mid table teams perhaps? At least VP had us scoring for fun.


Anyway, off out to a steak restaurant and console myself and my wife with a bottle of excellent red, probably a Rioja I think...

It reminded me of Dycheball at times.

Now, that's 1 win in last 13 home Premier games, under 3 different managers.

The only four who came out with any credit in my eyes were Cunha, Milenkovic, Aina and his replacement Munoz. The midfield was non-existent most of the game, and Murillo was off it before, worryingly, coming off injured.

So easy to pull this squad and coach down atm. So I will, (remember my predictions pre season) ok ok sorry.
1= who's happy with this bore fest?
2= who thinks this clubs moving forward with this final 3rd?
3= who thinks the WFCG had no input with the football?
4= who thinks we are gonna be in a struggle with the new signings?
5= who thinks our set pieces etc have never moved forward from last season?
6= who thinks there's no dependency on a win at home.

or laziness?
7 = who thinks the whole team have no clue or dependency moving forward with the ball
8= one of my pre season predictions mgw would get frustrated and go wide. Who agrees?
9= who's pi$$ed off taiwo left, would ya rather half of this lot?
10 = coz for me this isn't forest football, this really is a struggle.

I seen a heart in Awoniyi the diamond. All I look for in a Forest player. Yeah, I know most will disagree. But heart over riverdance and lost in final 3rd. I'm amazed how money can blindside so many. Just my opinion.

Early days, I know, but I'm struggling to see any improvement from last season. Hope it's just a slow start, but we look one-dimensional at present with no creativity or goal threat. I'm ready and happy to be proven wrong.

My fear with Glasner is we don't look like scoring. Everything is going to be on MGW’s shoulders again, but he doesn’t have his buddy alongside him any more. I saw Delap 3 or 4 times live last year and I didn't see a lot I liked but Chelsea was a different set up/place to thrive.

OG’s teams always take time to adapt to his style - think he was winless at CP for 8 matches - but I won't lie, I expected more. I hope Mr M is ready to show more patience than his normal.

All that said, are those people who predicted top 6-8 still feeling that way?

Without Anderson, we are weaker than last year and other teams have arguably overall strengthened.



As expected, we were bidding for loads of players in the final few days of the window. Mid table established clubs like Brighton, Bournemouth, Brentford (and even Leeds, who aren’t) did much of their business in the first few weeks.

I believe we will stay up but I’m ready for another bottom 6 finish….just the way it is.

Third game of the season and I think we might be trouble this season. Yeah, I know it’s very early, but I’ve not seen anything to suggest we have what it takes to have a good season. MGW seems below par so far.
Ndoye is pretty much useless, and fouls more than not.
Only bright sparks were Macca, Aina, and Schlager for me. I do think DeLap will come good.

Woody I think has run his race in the last couple or three seasons.
2 corners to their 10 is disgraceful really.

Overall we couldn’t keep the ball in the second half, some sloppy passes and attempted tackles.
Ref was awful in the second half literally blowing for everything, especially where he thought Spurs were fouled. A game to forget.

As I suspected, a draw. Can't see how we could have improved this game much although Jesus is far better than NDoye, and Wood a passenger.
Looks like we can't score again and reliant on defence and a dodgy midfield. This year will be another struggle.
