A few decent players available with no contracts, Karim Benzamar has quit the Saudi Pro League - I think Garibaldi Red would suit him up front!

Apparently several Premier League sides are in talks with Jadon Sancho. Really hoping we aren't one of them. ?
08 Sep 2026 12:24:00
Agreed, RRH! A player with a lot of potential, who decided to sit back, taking the wages, instead of playing to his potential!
No wonder he doesn't have a contract!
09 Sep 2026 19:02:59
Benzimar was probably on half a million a week in Saudi.

Now, now, now. You pair of bin dippers. ?? Always with the negative attitude, you 2, Glasner, Mr M. We will be living the Forest dream. ???
07 Sep 2026 20:47:25
You've been saying that for weeks, Skeggs!!!.
????
08 Sep 2026 10:53:39
And I will keep saying it, Rogie, cause we all know im right in the end. ?
08 Sep 2026 11:07:17
“We ALL know I’m right in the end” same old, same old arrogance eh? ??
No need to get all shirty about it, Stokie. Take a chill pill, pal, its not my fault im always right. ?
08 Sep 2026 12:43:38
And i quote "Ive never been proven wrong". Guess who said that only yesterday? ?. Definitely some black pot kettling going on. ?
08 Sep 2026 13:02:25
The difference being, of course, RRH, in the word "proven", mate. I rest my case...
08 Sep 2026 14:11:53
Superiority complex. ??
08 Sep 2026 14:56:05
Absolutely mate…..Can’t touch this …
As I keep saying to the other East Coast sodomites, words are important. They can save your life or get you killed….
As I’ve said before, I’m just glad I don’t have to follow you clowns into the witness box at Crown Court….
I had the honour and privilege to be taught the Classics at University by a wonderful old chap called Professor John Newt. He was so old fashioned that when females were admitted into St David’s College ( it had been an all male Theology College for years) he took to his rooms and refused to teach them.
Definitely a repressed and closet gay, like you guys.
There are loads of references to gayness in the Ancient Greek and Roman lexicon. For example the death in Battle before Troy of Achilles boyfriend Patroclus by Hector.
He used to refer to “ the unspeakable vice of the Greeks”…???
Anyway, it was only when he passed away that it came to light that he was a decorated code breaker at Bletchley park …. One of his many secrets I’m sure….
Anyway, I’ll keep my remarks to football matters as I don’t want to raise any false hopes for you desperadoes…….
08 Sep 2026 17:58:37
Haha ?, I think we touched a nerve there. ?
We maybe annoying, immature, but I genuinely think we're funny, especially when sticking to a know it all toff (or at least someone who thinks he is). ? ?
08 Sep 2026 18:05:05
And if i had a chance to spend time with a toff or a couple of East Coast sodomites, well, I'd be taking a no.2.???
08 Sep 2026 18:39:14
A man’s got to have a hobby RRH mate……
I bet with those 2 you don’t know which way to turn …….
Sooner you than me ……good luck !
08 Sep 2026 18:57:19
A toff….. Dad from Radford, Mam from the Meadows, born in Radford, lived on Bestwood Park Estate and Farley St Bulwell………went to Ellis Guilford and Forest Fields, Dad a welder Mam a cleaning lady…… you, sir, or either mad or you have the pox ………?????
08 Sep 2026 21:06:03
After hanging around with the sodomite two, i have got a rash?, can you catch STDs from toilet seats? ???
09 Sep 2026 16:04:05
Ask skegs, but in your case it's probably gum disease winter. Try sitting.
09 Sep 2026 16:52:39
About as funny as it gets, bog standard as usual. ?
09 Sep 2026 18:36:58
I will explain the joke some other time. For now, loo loo it's to Sir with Love.
07 Sep 2026 15:33:44
Well I listened to the whole game on Saturday and now I've watched the whole game on Forest TV.
So my observations:
Cunha, McAtee and Schlager were good.
Ndoye was ineffective but Jesus was miles better. Delap was ok but Kalimuendo rather than Wood would have made more sense from a thrust and speed point of view. MGW never got into the game.
In general terms both sides were poor. Forest had no fire and got no rhythm going at all especially in midfield since McAtee was asked to be defensive - Sangare can do much better there and push McAtee further forward.
If there was a Glasner plan I failed to see it at all. Much of the game seemed aimless on both sides, perhaps because they don't know what to do or can't yet combine with each other.
We wasted corners and failed to keep any possession except in the last 15 minutes.
Distribution by Sels and Murillo was poor, and we kept failing to get any second balls.
Munoz is ok and Delap will get better with more minutes and harder training.
All in all a nothing game and hard to predict what we might be like ten games in, but if we fail to improve it looks like a bottom of the table scrap again.
Not sure Williams scored but not sure on this showing that we deserved it. Peter Bankes is anathema to us.

It simply has to be the manager, mate?
Most of the first 11 have been together for nearly 3 years now.
They must know how each other plays.
07 Sep 2026 16:14:36
Thanks, Bse... I'm missing my Forest fix atm and need a catch up. Interesting analysis, and much appreciated. ?
07 Sep 2026 16:50:28
Cheerio, Edu!!!!.
???
07 Sep 2026 16:57:08
Bsered, here's my observation, but a much shorter analysis.
Before slipping into a coma with acute boredom on 65 mins, I witnessed the biggest pile of disjointed garbage in a long time. Another bang-average season at best unfolded.
07 Sep 2026 20:30:08
Reading your posts, Larry, I slip into a coma long before that, mate. ? ?
07 Sep 2026 21:11:41
Fishing rod time, another defeat, Stokie. Is Dyche managing you?. ??
07 Sep 2026 20:52:02
Have you actually read your own posts stokie.by the time you've read them you slip into a coma die come back as a zombie.and slip into a coma again ????
08 Sep 2026 08:15:18
Talking of zombies, how are things in Skegmess?
08 Sep 2026 09:00:56
????
This fishing rod really winds you up doesn’t it Larry. Is that why you failed as a prison officer ?….
“Boo hoo, the lags on my wing keep laughing at me and wont follow my rules…..Boo hoo” ???????
08 Sep 2026 09:19:04
You clearly don’t read your own posts Skegs ……….epic fails on repetition, punctuation, spelling and it’s often pure gobbledegook when you’re agitated…..
By the way, did anyone on here ever bring you that bottle of water you asked for ? ……
???
08 Sep 2026 10:29:37
It's the old justify the fishing rods chestnut because I've been sussed & made a fool of myself. ?
08 Sep 2026 10:55:09
Well, it's very generous of you to admit that, Larry. As welcome as it was, unexpected. ???
08 Sep 2026 11:04:01
You must have had a good holiday. Spent 90% of it on your phone posting. I bet the Saturday nights fly by in your house.
08 Sep 2026 11:30:40
Still having a great holiday, Larry. The sun continues to shine, the cold drinks continue to arrive, mate. But I prefer a more active, yomping type holiday like our cruise around the Mediterranean earlier in the summer. The only exercise I get poolside is running rings around you ... Gotta go, another cocktail ? and snack arriving.
Cheers. ? ??
08 Sep 2026 12:15:03
What's the cocktail you're drinking, Stokie? Over the rainbow. ? ?
08 Sep 2026 12:37:54
Just as we suspected, Skegs. Stokie goes cruising. ? It's all falling into place now. ??
08 Sep 2026 12:51:03
Meanwhile, whilst sunning myself on Brighton seafront, the waiter appears 'Another Over Rainbow, Stokey?', with a cheeky wink and slap of his backside, 'Of course, Tarquin.' ?
08 Sep 2026 13:09:32
It's all getting a bit creepy and stalker-ish, to be honest, lads. I'm out of here...
Before I go, I remember Julian Cleary fantasising (for comedic purposes, obviously not genuine acolytes like you lot) to Ian Hislop on HIGNFY about tying him up and having his way with him...
Hislop's reply was superb. "Tie me down? Yes, you'd have to, Julian". ????
08 Sep 2026 14:13:31
Stalker-ish? Or close to home? lol, so we're right then. ??
08 Sep 2026 14:13:44
I'll take your word for it, Stokie, it's your world. ? ? Hislop & Cleary were superb, eh? Bless ya. Glad you enjoyed it. ??
08 Sep 2026 15:15:34
I did enjoy it, Larry, thank you. They are very, very funny in a way that you can only dream of, mate. You are to wit what (your icon) Larry Grayson was to Rugby League. ? ?
08 Sep 2026 16:20:25
Wow, that's told me. My, however, will I recover from that put down. ???
08 Sep 2026 16:58:31
Please feel free to come back at me, Larry. Just hope I don't bust another rib laughing, mate. ? ?
07 Sep 2026 11:21:33
Our next two games are winnable.
Villa are in a state of flux atm. If we play like we did against Liverpool I think we can win there and we should beat Coventry. That would be a decent start, then 8pts from 5 games.
Delap is getting fitter and hopefully Diamonde too.
I would like to see a back three of Diamonde Cunha and Murrilo as I think Cunha is much more mobile than Milenkovic.

Good shout, Munmad, I was thinking much the same about our upcoming fixtures. Need to get a couple of wins before the international break. ?
07 Sep 2026 17:48:19
Both games have draw written over them for different reasons.
07 Sep 2026 09:54:46
To put Neco's goal controversy to bed, Sky Sports News has a different angle of the video, taken from the top right corner. It does hit his hand just as it crosses the line. Debatable if that counts as clear and obvious though. ?
Agree3
Disagree0
07 Sep 2026 13:55:10
Well, whatever it was, it wasn't "clear and obvious". If it had been, the Spurs players would have been going mad about it. They didn't; the referee gave the goal, but VAR decided to stick their oar in, and after what seemed an eternity decided it was "a clear and obvious mistake". The fact it took so long proved that it wasn't. Door handles!
07 Sep 2026 09:07:12.
I know stats are worrying for some on here, but two I picked up on post-match on Delap are enlightening.
First of all, he won 4 out of 5 aerial duels against Spurs centre backs and he achieved the quickest sprint speed of any player on either side, 20.3 mph.
This guy is quick and good in the air. Just think what he will do when he gets fully match fit.

07 Sep 2026 11:44:02
Positive as ever, Bin Dipper.
07 Sep 2026 12:31:53
Yes, just sulking because his team got dismantled at home 4 nil by mighty Oxford Utd Munmad…..
07 Sep 2026 12:53:57
Larry's from Nottingham, I'm the one from Leicester. you 2 ones know good at picking a team, the others no good at picking a manager. It makes for a disaster when you're talking football with them. ??
07 Sep 2026 13:52:09
We have learned from the master... Never ever let the facts get in the way of a good story, Skeggs... Come on, chill out, and don't be so touchy, mate..... ???????
07 Sep 2026 14:22:57
I'm chilled, Stokie. My nickname is the Iceman. I'm that chilled. Just stating the facts, so hopefully you will remember in future. ?
07 Sep 2026 16:15:48
Remember what? ... ????☺️?
07 Sep 2026 16:59:16
Remember, when the fishing rods come out, you lost the debate.
07 Sep 2026 17:51:54
I wouldn't dignify it with the word "debate", Larry, to be honest, mate. ????
07 Sep 2026 18:31:26
Stokie got done well and truly despite all the big words he trys and uses crawled into is hole for a bit ??
07 Sep 2026 18:49:16
Skegs ?, Iceman ?, more like Mr Whipy. ? ?
07 Sep 2026 19:17:04
Now now, rrh. I bet you like a bit of the whippy, maybe Stokie will spray some on you. ??
07 Sep 2026 19:28:45
?, I vote for Stokey to be ref. ? ?
07 Sep 2026 20:33:03
The balls in the back of the net, lads, your efforts are too little, too late. ??
07 Sep 2026 20:52:30

"It's a rat ? trap
And you've been caught.".... ? ? ?
07 Sep 2026 21:06:21
Rat trap? Mind you, Skegs did say nipple clamps can't be discounted. ?
07 Sep 2026 21:46:24
Of course rrh. ? ?
06 Sep 2026 19:47:19
Know you've been on a bender winter, obviously my reply was taken out of context. But no need for that response. There's an old quote which read "Listen to your elders' advice, not because there always right, but have a lot more experiences of being wrong, just saying." (Politely)

06 Sep 2026 21:01:12
You talk fart winter? Doesn't mean I disrespect ya?
06 Sep 2026 21:03:03
Come on, lads, you know how this works. We all love the site and each other, but every now and again we won't see eye to eye. But we get over it and move on. ? Which reminds me, anybody know how dtp his.
06 Sep 2026 21:08:21
Call me what you want, RRH, I don't mind. I respect your opinion and your views on the footy, and you do make a decent contribution to the site, so I for one don't mind that you call us OAPS, old farts.
Just remember, when the brown stuff hits the fan, and the younger generation go into panic mode and have a meltdown, it'll be the old farts who will pull you all together. Crap game though yesterday.
06 Sep 2026 21:09:38
He isn't coming back, Skegs, bud.
06 Sep 2026 21:17:25
Had big fallout with ED done.
06 Sep 2026 21:52:42

06 Sep 2026 21:53:32

06 Sep 2026 22:00:09
Kids, eh? Pfffft. If Vale had a wet fart, you'd be the sweetcorn and tomato skin. Just leave it, Winter.
06 Sep 2026 22:07:32
Meanwhile inside Bowies head; I'll insult you, so you should leave it, because im old and im obviously right.?
07 Sep 2026 09:27:11
?? Fair one. Let's just leave it, Winter. ?
07 Sep 2026 09:42:46
Yeah mate, its gone as far as im concerned. ?
07 Sep 2026 14:31:07
In the red corner weighing in at 150lbs, wearing his I Love Gazza shorts, we have the Geordie Swinger. And in the other red corner, weighing in at 200 lbs, wearing his I Love Ken shorts, we have the Cornish Pastie. Who will become the lightweight banter champion? The refs today are also Geordies, Ant and Dec.
Let's get ready to rumble. ??
07 Sep 2026 17:38:19
Skegs ?, while im up for anything, the shorts are even fine, but in a paddling pool full of jelly? At prime time at Pride? No way Bowie will sign that contract. I'll get on the phone to Frank Warren and see if we can re-negotiate better terms. ?
07 Sep 2026 17:44:34

07 Sep 2026 18:03:42

07 Sep 2026 18:33:10
If you ask Stokie nicely, im sure he'd like to ref and see you too in your shorts. ???
06 Sep 2026 12:40:16

Agree0

06 Sep 2026 14:20:11
It's a very low bar, RHR, tbh...
06 Sep 2026 16:00:01
Larry and RHR,
Enter the Dragon was a very entertaining film, but the quote from Bruce Lee, and, presumably, his script writers, was lifted verbatim from Sun Tze's Art of War, written about the 5th century BC (and still taught at military academies around the world). Required reading at Sandhurst and West Point to this day.
06 Sep 2026 19:29:34
Cheers RHR, cant wack a good laugh bud & you need to laugh after watching that guff yesterday. Yea great film mate. Iconic. Pity about Sgt Slaughters usual diarrhoea word sald underneath killing the thread stone dead ?
06 Sep 2026 20:08:39
Knowledge is power, friends. ??
06 Sep 2026 20:26:54
Oh, matron... A bit touchy, are we?. ???
06 Sep 2026 20:24:31
The only knowledge you know stokie was buried in the 14th century with your history. A bit like your knowledge of managers that ended under the dyche part time era last season ??
06 Sep 2026 20:38:59
Dds...
Please tell me what you know of the 14th century, Skeggs. Go on, anything, mate. I'm intrigued...
Would you like a glass of water first. ????
06 Sep 2026 21:01:56
? Thats really trying hard to make yourself look superior. ? ?
06 Sep 2026 21:05:36
You can keep shouting this, dds, mate, but I won't let you forget. He's the greatest manager since Clough. Facts, mate, as you keep saying, a really good manager. ???
06 Sep 2026 22:04:42
Who is? What are you talking about?
07 Sep 2026 00:20:31
The Black Death? Only thing that comes to mind without Google. ?
07 Sep 2026 08:05:00
No answer, Skeggs? It's gobbledegook, but from what I can make out, you are saying that OG is the best manager at Forest since Brian Clough?
Time will tell, but I'm thinking Frank Clark myself.
07 Sep 2026 09:24:43
Yes Stevie, the Black Death had a peak in the 14th century but it was still killing people before then and, off and on, in some places up to the 18 th.
Theatres were closed for years in Elizabeth London ( 15 th century) because of it.
There’s a sensational book by Daniel Defoe, of Robinson Crusoe fame, called “ Journal of a Plague year “ which is a grim read. He was purporting to have stayed in London to report on it first hand but I’m not sure he did……It was a best seller
