I dreamt last night that Man City's first game at the Eitihad next season was a local derby against Stockport County in League 1.

Then I woke up and realised that the Premier League is corrupt and although they have broken PSR rules 115 times no action will be taken against them.

SHAME ON YOU RICHARD MASTERS.

Congratulations to Everton on a great week for them. 3 consecutive wins and now safety. Given their points deductions and off field dramas the players have pulled together and shown the right spirit.

I sit here tonight thinking about this season. How we have lost that loving feeling. How the crowd at CG has changed so much from a year ago. How we have changed managers and above all how the players now seem disinterested. And how I, as a fan for over 50 years now feel that I can’t be bothered to attend matches that used to be the highlight of my week. Carlisle away, Walsall and Yeovil. I’ve been to them all.

I’m so sorry but the club is in free fall. We haven’t the balls to get anything at Sheffield Utd or Burnley. I can say that confidently and honestly. And the buck has to stop with Nuno. He just seems like a gormless melt. What a disastrous appointment. Love Big M but sadly he got that wrong. It was Coopers time to go, but to replace him with this bloke was laughable.

So today's matches went as well as we could have expected. Sheffield are relegated. Luton lost. There are two clouds on the horizon; one is Burnley who are gathering momentum, but as Newcastle had a resounding win today so we can hope they will at least hold Burnley but should beat them. The second cloud is what happens to Forests appeal re the points deduction, that alone could decide our fate.

I see VAR fell over themselves in the race to award Burnley a penalty today. To be fair it most probably was a pen but wolves had one not given against Man Utd in the same fashion early in the season.

It would not surprise me to hear they have taken another point away for having the balls to appeal. It’s clear we are not wanted in the premier league. Sadly with a gormless melt of a manager who fails to create a siege mentality from his players it’s going to be a real battle to survive. Just feel sorry for the genuine players like Yates who always gives his all. We’ve been let down by the likes of Origi and Sangare, utterly woeful tripe.

Let this sink in, Burnley are now only two points behind us! 2 points after they looked dead and buried with the Blades. It’s now not only Luton we are looking over our shoulder at! What an absolute shambles of a club we follow. Bad choices, Bad recruitment, Bad decisions and Bad luck. And if we don’t get any points back on appeal, then we are in serious trouble and the trap door to the abyss awaits. Nuno the clown is no upgrade on Cooper and we have gone backwards. Where we might have dug in and scraped a result now seems a distant memory. The club is disjointed and i fear the worse. If we have to go to Turf Moor needing a result to stay up, then I’m afraid that we are doomed.

Isn't it a poor state of affairs that we are relying on the likes of Luton's and Burnley's results to ensure our PL survival? However, after everything that I've survived and conquered personally over the last 3 years I have morphed into an optimist. As my old drill sergeant screamed at us in basic training - "now stand up and fg fight". No more bleating, excuses and whinging. It's time to show what we are made of on the pitch. I'm sure there must be some fighting spirit left in our players somewhere. Time to forget the injustices as I posted yesterday - it's time to fight.

Right fellow reds in the cold light of Day it is what it is, and you and me can't do anything about it, so do we give in or get behind the team tomorrow? Me for one I detest the double standards of the premier League the entitlement of the pundits who are only washed up x footballers end of the day. Why would we want to go back to the championship, so let's put aside the price rise for a bit and get and I mean get behind our team tomorrow. Other matters can wait games can't do come on you reds. It's now or never.

Say what you like about Dyche, he's done a great job these last few games to keep Everton up, and I've read that if they didn't have a points reduction, they would be level with Brighton, who's manager is being linked with a "Bigger team".

Dtp, have you still got your banner? This chap is surely as bad as Hughton?
Remember last year when Marinakis took the plaudits for us staying up and sticking by cooper. He said, and I paraphrase, ‘it’s pointless sacking the coach if there isn’t a better man out there to replace the one you’ve sacked ‘ obviously just a one season theory then was it?

My team for tomorrow resting Gibbs white and Hudson Odoi because I feel that this Man City game is about trying not to get hammered. Not negative just realist. Save them for the last two away games which I feel is the only way we stay up. No injuries wanted at this stage for me.

27 Apr 2024 17:36:47
RA, if Alfie is playing we need 3 at the back. A midfield 5 of Reyna, Yates, Domingues, Danillo Elanga and Woods up front. Definitely not Sangare as he has never upto now taken up the opportunities given to him, so why think he can play in an important match such as this? The main aim being to keep the score down, using Elanga’s supposed speed on the wing. You want the players to be galvanised for this one. Resting MGW is a good plan. I am afraid HO needs a permanent rest.

Forget playing out from the back kick everything get the ball quickly to Elanga and Wood put Yates Sangare and Danilo in the middle of the park and negate De Bruyne and Rodri and stop the supply to Foden and Haaland

1-1 draw Wood for us VAR for them.

Yes I do mate it was my first World Cup where I could understand what was going on, I supported Scotland as I had heard of dalgliesh, gem mill etc, I remember them doing Holland but also the shock of them losing to Peru, the big thing at the time for me as a child was the excitement of collecting panini stickers and trying to fill an album, all the kids on our street were doing it, great times growing up in Eastwood.

I was just starting to understand football too, and the World Cup was like a wonderful awakening. however I heard that Scottish World Cup song so many times, I honestly thought they only had go over and pick the bloody thing up and come home again!
82 World Cup was amazing too. my first "Awakening" to the fairer sex. my first girlfriend, over 40 years later, and I still think of her from time to time, she was a combination of Steffi Graff, and Jennifer Anniston. (You get the picture) couldn't believe my luck.
Wonderful times, wish I could just go back there for one day. 🙄.

It’s good to reminisce! I love thinking about the old days. It was only last week I posted about how our badge brings emotional feelings to me when I look at it. Great days all those years ago. Used to live for football. School got in the way, but even there you could play 3 times a day! Never had much money as a family, my mum and step dad both worked in a factory ( now Hooters 😂) but I had a really happy childhood and felt very lucky. My grandad brought me the yellow away top for my tenth birthday, and it was, and still is, the greatest gift I’ve ever received! I would just look at it on wonder! Sorry for the ramble! All I can say is, no matter what, the PL, Mr M, VAR or anyone else can take that away from me, and all others who feel the same! You can’t buy these feelings!

Fellow Reds. I've been digesting all of your recent posts about our club's current woes - which have been excellent to read. We certainly show passion on this site as loyal supporters which is brilliant! My take on this, for what it's worth, is that we've now had more than our say about the injustices that our club has suffered from. VAR and refereeing standards within the PL are now in the news. Questions are now being asked about the current system which go way beyond Forest now. In life, it does feel good to stand up for your rights against the system, be a 'rebel' and argue your cause. However, there is also a time to shut-up once you have created those 'waves' and let them take their course. I think we have now made our point as a club. I would now love to see us fight for our place in the PL on the field with pride, but also with dignity.

Just a few observations
1 / they always shoot the messenger
2/ The top premier league teams were secretly planning to break away, which would have seriously impacted the money coming in to the remnants of the league. No punishments handed out as far as I know.
3/ FA guidelines state that referees have to declare conflicts of interest when officiating in a particular game. Did Atwell declare any and if so who allowed him to carry on?
4/ why do full backs give wingers so much space in the modern game?
5/ why don't we have players on the posts for corners?
6/ why are players read War and Peace when they're preparing to come on as subs?
7/ why is a Derby fan in charge of the club's official tweets when trying to justify the clubs season card waiting list and season card pricing policy amid the genuine concern that some long term loyal fans will find it financially difficult to carry on? Are they deliberately winding people up?
8/ why is Gary Neville a dick?
9/ why did Souness on Talk Sport say refs aren't biased then go on to say they do favour the big clubs and that it takes a brave ref to give a pen at the Kop end against Liverpool?
10 / and the last one. The FA cup has been decimated again for benefit of the top clubs playing in Europe. No big nights at Old Trafford or The Emirates etc, as a reward for holding one of the so called giants to a replay.
Greed is ruining this game.
Ah feeling a lot better now with that lot off me chest.
Right, bring on City and let's give em a bloody good tabbing.
They've probably spent more on bloody lawyers in trying to dodge having 115 charges looked at, than we've spent on players.
Happy days.
