Some really good football today. Scouse game (never a pen btw and good VAR for a change noticing the offside) and city / gooner game. Loads of passion some really good football.

Yesterday was the Premier League at its best, mate. As a side note, wouldn't it be fantastic to see City lift the Premier League, then a day later the FA finally gets its act together and docks them 60 points. 🤣🌳

Big well done to Elliott, huge performance in the circumstances - I didn't expect him to play. Massive from the Geordie Maradona.
Also a shout out for Ryan Yates, what a cross he dug out for MGW hat trick!

Great second half. Fingers crossed West Ham lose tonight and give us a bit of breathing space. Looking forward to Friday's game, know it will be tough but would be happy with a draw.

20 Apr 2026 10:51:48
Don't be surprised if Palace rest a lot of key players.
🙄

19 Apr 2026 19:56:39
The deal is we need 4 pionts max from 5 games
Why worry?
Spurs need two wins just to catch up?

I'll be happy when the rather rotund lady sings, mate.
😊

20 Apr 2026 00:00:33
We cannot assume anything. We need points from every game from now on, as those around us will undoubtedly get surprise points at this time of the season, plus we have lost Cho, with Bakwa not a proper replacement, and maybe Murillo is out for some time.

Where is Ndoye?
We need to be brave and bold now. We have a decent coach who spotted the tactics needed today and used them with some astute subs as well.

20 Apr 2026 01:26:46
Hopefully, Ndoye is on his way home - never to be seen again. Bakwa is the worst player we've ever signed and should also never be seen again!

19 Apr 2026 19:30:45
Couldn't get to today's game, but managed to watch on my iPad and what a turnaround! Unbelievable! Bakwa was just awful. I liked Woody and Jesus up front and just one winger. Three magical finishes from MGW. A shout out to Hutchinson on the second goal, doing what we have all been screaming for, a good delivery after going outside the fullback.

MGW played as winger Stokeky.

19 Apr 2026 20:01:10
Any sign of Waldorf & Statler???
🙈🙈🙈.

19 Apr 2026 20:14:44
Nah, we won. Rogie and Fester lost.

19 Apr 2026 21:56:07
DTP, I know mate, I was there. 🤔

19 Apr 2026 18:23:40
Brilliant best feeling all season, almost there comon Palace tomorrow.

Game of two halves?
Love Vitor, he sees he's made a mistake and rectifies it, Bakwa.
Piss poor first half, but playing MGW out wide and playing Jesus as number ten shows a plan ABC and D.
Well be fine.

Just recently got home DTP. It was a game of two thirds to a third rather than 2 halves, mate.
In the first hour, their keeper didn't have a shot to save. I mentioned my pre-match sense of dread about this game on a post this morning, and it looked like I was right. MGW shinned a sitter wide on the hour. I'd got my head in my hands at this point, and remarked to my neighbour in BC Upper that we wouldn't score if we played all night. We looked knackered, clueless, one-paced, and they looked dangerous every time they counter-attacked.
Fifteen minutes later it was 3-1, and our captain had scored a hat trick.
The Red Bull advert is wrong when it claims to give you wings. It's goals that do that. From being dead on our feet we could have won by 5 or 6. A term turn around.
Shame on you all that booed the lads off at half time.

Entitled know it alls with no faith. They should try playing 4 games in 10 days at this level.
Anyway, more points gained from a losing position. Long way to go yet, but we managed (eventually) to bank our banker. I expect Spurs to beat Wolves next up and claw 3 points back, whilst we have a tough one at Sunderland. Tomorrow I'm a Palace fan. Our heads are above water, advantage us, but VP is doing a great job with the hand he's been dealt.
By the way, the pre-match tribute by Ando to his Mum was very, very moving. Lump in the throat time. I just wondered how many hours that lovely lady had spent taxiing the lad to games and training sessions, plus standing in the freezing cold by the side of muddy pitches. She must have been very proud of him.
Finally, a little nudge from MGW to Tommy Turtle for a seat on the plane to the US?

19 Apr 2026 19:33:53
For all we know, they could have been feeling the effects from what Elliot was going through... Must have been hard to focus, after the little ceremony on the halfway line, when you think about it.

19 Apr 2026 19:38:32
Should have taken Bakwa off after half an hour. Totally out of his depth, MGW had to go over and cover for him. Don't want to see him on our pitch again.

19 Apr 2026 20:13:11
No coach does that, Redvale.
Enjoy the victory you predicted?

19 Apr 2026 21:03:00
It was plain to see Bakwa was out of his depth after ten minutes. It was embarrassing to see MGW covering for him. But I don't care what you think, 79or, whatever you call yourself these days.

I've paid my money and I'm entitled to my opinion. Don't try to bully me; it might work with others, but not with me, so keep your sarcasm to yourself.

19 Apr 2026 21:12:23
You don't like an opinion that contradicts your own, Redvale, especially from me though.

19 Apr 2026 21:52:52
I'd keep your options to yourself after what you posted last week about Anderson. I bet you stood there today clapping before ko telling all around you how terrible it was.

19 Apr 2026 17:20:13
They left it late, but four spendid goals and hope for the future again. MGW brilliant when Pereira moved him second half. Jesus took his goal well in front of the pack chasing him.
But now we have to keep getting the points however we can!

Agree6 Disagree0

19 Apr 2026 17:02:26
I think you should all be looking at Anderson, what a man to stand and be proud. Welled up no end to flowers and shirt. Life before football. Feelings and honesty.
Ok now the game. Pathetic first half. Second half we played a more fluent game. Woods bless him, still not fit and the honesty is written all over his face.

Jesus for me with his pace opened up their defence, exactly what we needed. Yates pass was simply brilliant. But my my my mgw. What a saviour young man. What a game we live for Reds. You just never know. Upwards and onwards FTID.

19 Apr 2026 17:29:04
I don't think Jesus is that overly quick, mate, the chasing pack were closing in... However, he's kept his nerve and tucked it away, that's all that matters!!!!
Uuuuu Redddss!!!!

20 Apr 2026 00:08:10
With five players close behind and almost alongside him, he didn't panic but pulled the ball left into the far corner, through all of them, and beat the goalie. That is some goal and shows a sharp mind and a natural predator at work. I think he'll do better for the rest of our games, given some chances.

19 Apr 2026 16:41:34
Feel exhausted after that.

The first hour was woeful.

MGW steps up to the plate again. Where would we be without him?

19 Apr 2026 17:16:28
At least 3 places lower 67.

19 Apr 2026 18:21:06
Master stroke Vitor putting him on the wing to find so much room.

19 Apr 2026 16:13:48
Credit where it's due, what a second half of football from Forest. MGW must have changed his boots, what a hat trick!
Jesus, what a goal, 5/6 players chasing him and he scored!
Very well done Forest!
