Hereβs yet another stat as a gauge to our season...
We only did the double over 2 teams, Brentford and Spurs, but 2 teams did the double over us: Everton and Brighton.
Personally, I think once Ange had gone, we did become difficult to beat and took point (s) off 17 out of 19 teams.
Including those in the Champions League spots: Arsenal (home point), Man City (away point), Man Utd (home point), Villa (home point), Chelsea (3 away points), Bournemouth (home point).
Steady accumulation?
26 May 2026 21:36:52
Vitor took points. Playing attractive football is the difference for me.
Under Dyche, we couldn't buy a goal, and now we score for fun with the same players.
27 May 2026 10:21:35
Another myth, DTP, I'm afraid, mate. .....
In all competitions under SD, Forest scored 36 goals in 26 games in all competitions.
Under VP we scored 32 goals in 20 games.
Not much different......
Probably a misconception because we scored a glut like the 5 against Sunderland, the 4 against Burnley and the 3 against Chelsea.
Not that im complaining. VP is an excellent coach and we are lucky to have him ...
26 May 2026 10:23:02
Unfortunately I think Murillo will get tempted away Β£ but I think Cunha is worth investing in as a long term centre back.
26 May 2026 14:02:32
Who's this? I'm a Loughborough Red as well.
27 May 2026 07:38:17
Hi, Perko. Moved down from the metropolis 25 years ago.
27 May 2026 11:03:22
Ahh okay mate. Just wondered if I might know you or not.
26 May 2026 09:46:28
Mr M caught up in an altercation at a sports event! Not our Mr M surely! The strong intelligent Mr M?
26 May 2026 11:14:15
It was a basketball match & he got into a fight. π€£ You watch, we'll end up with Michael Jordon up top with Wood next year. π€£
26 May 2026 20:32:17
I'm surprised Mr M didn't have some heavy duty security, especially for his public app in Greece. Apparently, he had a run-in with the nephew of the current Greek Prime Minister.
My view of Greek alpha males is always coloured by Spiro Haliocopoulous, the character in Gerald Durrell's brilliant book "My Family and Other Animals." Brilliantly written, and very, very funny (and a true story). Mr M fits the character to a tee. Brash, loud, aggressive, macho, but with a generous heart. Best played by Brian Blessed opposite Hannah Gordon as Mrs Durrell in the 1980s series (but the one starring Keeley Hawes recently was excellent too).
I remember chatting to our Greek driver on holiday in Dassia, Corfu last year. I innocently remarked on how close the beautiful coast of Albania was, and he turned on a sixpence, saying we should have gone there instead if we thought Albania was more beautiful than Greece (which I didn't). So proud and touchy (a bit like a few on here), but by the time we'd got to the airport it was all forgotten. Very friendly, but very passionate.
26 May 2026 20:47:08
Oh yes, Keeley Hawes. Now you're talking, Stokey.
All of a sudden your posts have become worth reading.
26 May 2026 21:44:59
I bet you asked if he was busy and what time he finished, if he could get a word in. π€£π€£π€£
27 May 2026 11:54:02
A bit more original than that DTP. I tend to listen rather than talk. I remember this guy (whose English was poor, which may have led to the Albania misunderstanding, but better than my non existent Greek) was unimpressed when I mentioned Mr M (the universal language of football) saying he was AEK.
Police experience, you see, mate. When I was Community Beat Officer at Hyson Green, just for 2 years after the 1982 riots, you always listened to what taxi drivers had to say.
They often overheard unguarded conversations from passengers, and had a feel for what was going on. Likewise, postmen, milkmen (you can tell how long ago this was), binmen, paper lads.
Read the signs, mate. Milk bottles disappearing... petrol bombs? Mail building up? Missing person? Terrible smell coming from a house? Sudden death? Stuff being delivered via taxi? Drug couriers?
Old habits die hard...

Nuno gets sacked tomorrow.
Deserves it and who's next?

Dpt the Skegness mafia are running a masters course in how to get bites on banter.
Your primitive attempts are so out of date & for a reasonable fee (24 cans of Stella) & a lifetime membership to the live chat miners welfare, we could propel you to new heights.
Just think of the benefits.

That would be way too many amphibians, though. We already have a resident Frog and Skegs (as slippery as a Salamander). They would all be trying to spawn in our beer, so definitely no room for a toad. π³

Hence the post, Rogie, as you're the number one recipient. If you were a fish, you'd have taken that many bites, you'd have no lips left. π€£π€£

26 May 2026 20:36:12
I'm not bothered about West Ham or Spurs (and I've got mates who support both), but let's not forget Spurs survived because Unai Emry, the manager of Aston Villa, put out a weak team against Spurs, gifting 3 points. If I were Nuno, I'd be sending him a card saying "Thanks a bunch......". π π‘ π€
26 May 2026 21:43:48
Stokey, I don't think it's so much Villa put out a weakened team; it's that they didn't try at all and threw the game completely.
26 May 2026 22:07:07
Karma, Nuno got exactly what he deserved.
Poor results in vital games.
He needs to accept he's a coach, like most do.
He had the chance to be a Forest legend and win a European trophy, but decided otherwise.
Now he's got relegation on his CV.
And, apparently, no pay off from the Hammers.
Karma.
26 May 2026 21:56:25
Stokey you're an ex copper mate. It's letter bombs you send, can't see "thanks a bunch hurting any f kr,?
25 May 2026 22:31:18
A shout out for our neighbours, Notts County FC, well done on a fine 3-0 win at Wembley!
The referee was very lenient and let a lot of stuff go, although some of them could have been cards!
Well done The Magpies.
25 May 2026 22:38:25
Yep, well done, sadpies.
26 May 2026 08:09:46
With all the bile that comes from them, couldn't care less. Hope they get relegated next season.
26 May 2026 12:26:18
You beat me to it, pal!!!!
Sadpies... Indeed, DTP...
25 May 2026 22:12:20.
Congrats to Notts County today! πππππ»ππ»
Some good local derbies next season with Mansfield and Leicester.
Besides anything that gets up Gary Nevilleβs nose is fine by me!
Uuuuuuuu pies! ππ
25 May 2026 21:43:42
Unfortunately I think we will lose Anderson, he's developed at Forest into a fine midfielder, a wonderful player. Hopefully we can reinvest the Anderson money wisely and keep hold of the rest. I really like VP, he is a person given the time and playing talent that can build something special.
25 May 2026 22:09:16
Anderson will go. Just wish the recruitment staff will go as well. Bought some crap last season.
26 May 2026 05:44:57
If Anderson does go, he'll just be another Forest player in the long line of Judas's, who are plucked from reserve team football & propelled into international stars, then insult your intelligence by kissing the badge whilst negotiating a contract with the alleged big six.
26 May 2026 11:03:03
Balloons even by your standards that's pathetic, Anderson was part of a transfer of convenience, he apparently never wanted to leave Newcastle, but for psr reasons was shifted out. He came to Nottingham and as a professional footballer has played to the best of his ability, never given a minute's trouble, and has always been available, I have personally never seen him ' kiss the badge, " I've never heard him say he's a Forest fan, he's just got on with his job, if he leaves, he leaves on Forest's terms, because he is under contract, I would personally wish him the best of luck.
You can only be a ' Judas' if you betray someone, or some principle, I'm sure when you were a screw, if you'd have been offered a couple of grand a year more, to be head screw in a prison up the road, you'd have been off line a shot, you and your mate on here give yourself the laughable moniker of the skeg mafia, when in reality, you're just a couple of trolls who's sole purpose is to childishly wind people up, like I said at the start, pathetic.
26 May 2026 14:59:07
Bless ya, Stevie. β€οΈ
26 May 2026 15:29:30
Couldn't agree more, Stevie... he just does it to p@#s the great posters on here off...
Lost his Mum too...
As you quite rightly say, Stevie. Pathetic.
26 May 2026 18:27:27
Stevie, I can't believe Larry was a prison officer. All the ones I ever met were grown ups, mate. π£π
26 May 2026 18:38:32
Stokey, I'm sure you're correct. π I've nothing against them, mate, was just using them as an example, they do a job that I wouldn't want to do.
26 May 2026 18:52:48
I'm sure balloons said he was a dinner lady at the prison?
Sorry, cheff. π
26 May 2026 19:08:19
Perhaps he was on the notorious "B" wing at Mothercare? .....
26 May 2026 19:14:45
Stevie, I've got massive respect for Prison Officers, mate. They do an impossible job with scant resources in highly dangerous conditions.
26 May 2026 20:06:10
So why does he carry on like someone he probably locked up!!!.

25 May 2026 12:46:07
Don't worry Morgan, about the England squad for a start. Henderson and Burns are too old to cope with the heat and the pace over the pond. Players always get called upon thru injuries etc, so you will get your turn.
25 May 2026 14:21:03
Hope so, Humorist. I mean, why wouldn't you take the top scoring Prem Englishman? Crazy imo.
25 May 2026 17:30:43
Wonder what excuse Tuchel will use, when England go out???
Huge risk he's taken.
25 May 2026 20:56:03
He'll have his escape route planned for each round. Whether the team will nail him out is the main question.
25 May 2026 11:49:20
I hate the summer break. Let's hope some planning and thought has gone on to bring the right players in.
25 May 2026 12:47:05
Me too, BSE, mate. I'm very encouraged by VPs sign-off interview when he uses the exact word "stability" which I've stressed many times in previous posts.
Also, he has urged that transfers get done quickly, and certainly before the season starts.
Last year we had 3 players signed before pre-season, and a massive 10 during August and September. Just hopeless and a massive problem for Nuno, especially as they were of "variable" quality, shall we say.
Talks a lot of sense, imo.
25 May 2026 13:01:59
Also, VP is speaking of only a few incomings, as he has the foundation he wants in the squad and doesn't want to dilute the character and talent he already has. I'm thinking 3 or 4 maximum, depending if we retain the services of our big 3 (Murillo, MGW and Ando). Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Sels, Williams, and Sanghere were on someone's shopping list.
25 May 2026 19:01:07
Well, that's it, thankfully. Terrible season, we do not need another one like that. But I did enjoy yesterday, and I did notice on a couple of occasions VP resorted to Dyche ball when Awoniyi came on. Just hope he spends Mr Ms money wisely this summer.
25 May 2026 19:49:02
Vitor, or any other coach, doesn't buy the players.
Fierrea does.
25 May 2026 20:37:21
Couldn't care less who buys them just as long as they're right for the club.
25 May 2026 21:06:32
That's the worry, mate.
25 May 2026 21:56:53
Well, we haven't done badly so far.
MGW, Anderson, Murillo, Aina, Milenkovic, Williams, Wood, Jesus, Awoniyi, Sels, and more, and even the new batch are starting to show promise now they've been given a chance.
Europe came too soon, you watch the effect it has on Sunderland next season.
We are in a perfect position now, only needing to do a bit of wheeling and dealing.
