Forest have again shown how to waste money. The welcome gift for season card renewal when we don't actually have cards now! A bob with a season card holder plaque and a couple of badges. 20k season card holders that's Β£52k just for the delivery. They should have sent us new phone cases instead. :)

It will be Aina, I suspect. Netz deserves a start, but I don't think anyone who started vs Brest is starting.

18 Aug 2026 19:55:43
The team will be buil
t around McAtee.

18 Aug 2026 20:03:32
No chance cobra.

19 Aug 2026 12:40:06
Is Kobra one of these fake accounts from a banned person?

18 Aug 2026 11:19:55
Citeh were poor and Anderson decidedly average. Hope he enjoys playing with a bunch of individual stars rather than a team.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Aug 2026 12:18:36
Problem with City against Arsenal was Maresca played two midfielders, Anderson being one, who had just come back from holiday after the World Cup! Why? No training, no integration - I think City will struggle under Maresca!

18 Aug 2026 13:30:56
Anderson looked out of his depth. City fans already complaining about him be sold for half the price next season.

18 Aug 2026 16:16:50
Anderson is knackered after being virtually ever present for us last season and a full World Cup schedule.
My neighbours are long term season ticket holders at Man City, and are very happy with his purchase.
Unlike some people with little if any football knowledge, they aren't too bothered by a meaningless Charity Shield game.

Form is temporary, class is permanent...
Ando has walked into a club rebuilding after a change of manager, and perhaps future points deductions, but I think he will do well.

18 Aug 2026 16:55:16
He absolutely will.

18 Aug 2026 18:43:46
Anderson did look class in a team that was top 7 at the most. Now he's in a team that's expected to be champions, and he's replacing top-class players that have played in his position at Man City. He will look average class. Not rocket science.

18 Aug 2026 19:11:46
He'd look class in any team. I don't expect Man City to be champions this year anyway. Top 4 maybe.

18 Aug 2026 19:14:22
Never mind his performances for us, he played in every World Cup game for the 3rd best team in the competition and never looked out of place.

18 Aug 2026 19:52:27
You obviously missed some of the England games then, Stokie. And, it's not like we played any great teams, no comparison really. Mind you, you did say Dyche was great when he was in charge for a bit, so I can see where you're coming from. Just saying.

18 Aug 2026 20:00:40
Didn’t miss any games Ratty

I’ll just say before I go that there’s 2 things I detest most in the world …….and you’re both of them πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

18 Aug 2026 20:11:20
So the Ghana game where he was non existent you was obviously busy watching corrie like me.bunny boiler and im so happy im top of your list for keeping you awake at night I live in your head you said it jim Carrey πŸ€£πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

18 Aug 2026 21:28:04
I can tell you are upset and rattled, Ratty, because, as I've mentioned before, your punctuation goes to rat πŸ’© and your post becomes an angry stream of consciousness tirade. It's a dead giveaway, mate.
Anyway, early night for me, getting up early to get to Nantwich to look after our 6 year old grandson. He's a real live wire...

Thank you for your concern, mate, but I'm fast asleep virtually as soon as my head hits the pillow and I sleep the sleep of the righteous for 9 hours solid, every night.

I'm lucky I've always been able to do that. Plus, I have power naps at all times when I want to.

One of my Army mates passed onto me the tip, which I've lived by, which goes "Never just stand up when you can sit down, never just sit down when you can lie down, never just lie down when you can go to sleep."
Did 30 years of shifts and developed the knack. Never lost it.
Good night and sleep tight, if your conscience lets you...πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ₯±πŸ˜΄πŸ˜΄

18 Aug 2026 21:37:49
Night night. Stokie, sweet dreams. 😘😘

Off up the road tonight, Gateshead vs our under 21's. Only £5 a ticket, bargain. 🌳

18 Aug 2026 17:32:55
Hey, Ant and Dec, you game? 🌳

18 Aug 2026 18:12:27
Only just seen it, Rrh.

18 Aug 2026 21:09:16
Shame, was a good game as it goes. Young Murray-Jones looks a decent keeper.
I was really hoping that was you singing 'Mull of Kintyre' at the burger stand during half time. Whoever it was, they were absolutely smashed 🀣. Anyways, good game, decent result against a much more experienced side, 1-1, our lads winning 4-5 on pens. Coyr. 🌳

18 Aug 2026 01:15:42
After watching the second team put out a real solid performance, the only one that looked like he had no clue was Bakwa. After being put clean through, he just stopped like a deer in headlights. The real bonus is Luca Netz; he was a threat going forward but not so good getting back, but the potential is there and all the misgivings that the previous recruitment team had at just over one million pounds that looks to be the best business they have done.

Agree3 Disagree0

18 Aug 2026 08:24:20
Totally agree about Bakwa.

18 Aug 2026 09:21:52
Add Hutchinson to the list.

18 Aug 2026 09:55:04
Who at Forest thought Hutchinson was worth Β£35m plus? Ipswich got a great deal!

18 Aug 2026 10:05:03
Hutchinson, Bakwa and CHO probably won't get much game with OG's wing backs system, unless it's as fully attacking subs to rescue a losing situation.
New coach, new system. Another tranche of money wasted, and expensively acquired players left redundant on the bench.

17 Aug 2026 17:53:03
Thoughts on Forest-Burnley swap deal?
Wood for Flemming plus cash and wage contribution.

Flemming at around 28 and 6ft1 scored 11 Premier League goals last season. In his prime and his profile looks to suite Glasner's style of play.

Woods has lost pace and this could be win win as it looks like Flemming is wanted by Premier League teams which would leave Burnley fans unhappy.

This is why this deal could work. Wood has a legendary status there. He knows the club inside out and we could offer a wage contribution to sweeten this deal. Thoughts?

Agree7 Disagree0

17 Aug 2026 18:44:00
No thanks, I'd rather keep Woody. 🌳

17 Aug 2026 19:00:48
He would be better than Wood. Swish.

17 Aug 2026 19:03:13
Don't know much about him, mate.
See Chelare looking 40 million!!!
Only paid 30!!!
🀣🀣🀣

17 Aug 2026 19:12:06
Rogie, 🀣, it's all good, City are about to buy another midfielder, taking their spending to about 200 million on two midfielders, apparently they still want Fernandez from Chelski. He'll be 120 plus.
What the hell is happening to their charges???

17 Aug 2026 19:23:33
I know, mate, absolutely disgusting!!!
Spend! Spend! Spend!
Regardless!

17 Aug 2026 19:33:14
Getting ready for their points deduction. Best side in League Two ever. 🌳

17 Aug 2026 20:17:52
It really isn't funny anymore ffs, not that it ever was.

18 Aug 2026 10:06:53
Fleming did well to score 11 Premier League goals for a struggling team like Burnley. He finished off a well-worked counter-attacking goal against us at the City Ground, if I remember correctly.

18 Aug 2026 10:49:29
If we're at a place where players like Big Taiwo are deemed surplus, why would we be looking at Fleming? I mean, why oh why?. 🌳

18 Aug 2026 11:21:46
Wood will become an able sub for us, but he's outpaced easily in most games.

18 Aug 2026 11:48:05
Bse, mate, pace over distance has never been Woody's strong point. But over 10 to 15 yards in and around the box, to find a bit of space or anticipate a cross, he's deadly. His football brain and vast experience give him a yard start.

Also, his strength and hold-up play are second to none.
It is wise to plan for the future, though. At 33, and carrying an injury, he's definitely in the twilight of an illustrious career. Top professional too, looks after himself, great temperament.

18 Aug 2026 16:18:14
Wood has been given the number 9 shirt. Can we read anything into that?

17 Aug 2026 15:00:02
For general information and for what’s its worth, the bulk of our putative first choice players played in a behind closed doors friendly against Coventry at their place, and we won 2 nil with goals from Jesus and Williams. This was on Saturday 15th August.

Agree6 Disagree0

18 Aug 2026 08:30:34
Again, for what it's worth, I understand this was mainly Coventry's second team, the first team having played on Friday evening.

Enjoy your day out ……

Back to football…… The game yesterday was dire, basically a poor quality exhibition game, Understandably, as no one wants to get injured before the real action starts.

Schlager and Netz were outstanding. The latter may well have nailed on a starting place instead of Aina at wingback.
For the future, if we could get Bergvall for a more reasonable price then Β£60’million, I’d rate him to become the new Ando. Bit of height for us at set pieces too.
Mateta on a free would make the jigsaw complete. We are then good to go…. COYR!

Are you missing the pink flamingos and flowers, rrh. 😁

17 Aug 2026 18:43:04
Nah not particularly, but this is a football banter site, I'm pretty sure pictures of gypsy campsites have nothing to do with the game we all love. 🌳

17 Aug 2026 18:59:12

18 Aug 2026 10:21:08
Now, let's not get catty, RRH. I might lose all respect for the younger generation on here, mate. 😁😁 (joking aside).

18 Aug 2026 10:46:29
Hey, its not catty, its the truth, Skegs sells donkey rides on the beach, in the evenings he's a bingo caller, thought everyone knew that. 🌳

You know, I love ya, Skegs. Ever since I found out about that sleeve you had done, I've tried my hardest to be just like you. I've even started buying those Viagra eye drops, just to look hard. 🌳

18 Aug 2026 15:18:14
I have a nice hat and matching t-shirt for you both, says we love Skegsjay. Done at good old Ingoldmells Market, they should go well with your skirts and high heels. 😁

🀣 Skegs, I don't even know who they are. 🀣

18 Aug 2026 17:16:38
Don't panic, rrh, you're not Pinocchio. 🀣🀣

18 Aug 2026 17:18:58
Skeggs doesn't either, the way he's spelt their names. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

18 Aug 2026 17:22:12
Hey up, Pinocchio, your nose is growing again. 🀣🀣

18 Aug 2026 17:31:54
🀣 I guessed that's who he meant. I have to admit, this morning, whilst using said eye drops, it did drip on my nose and my bottom lip. Now I look like Katie Price. 😭🌳

18 Aug 2026 17:27:14
All the lies you’ve told Rattty your nose would be a hazard to shipping, mate, as I demonstrated yesterday. You can’t even remember what you’ve posted πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ€₯πŸ€₯πŸ€₯

18 Aug 2026 18:11:56

18 Aug 2026 18:33:23

18 Aug 2026 19:19:50
Point 2 yet again, Ratty. Try and vary it a bit with "Living the Glasner dream", just by way of a bit of variety, mate. It's like a mantra. πŸ˜΄πŸ˜΄πŸ˜΄πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ€πŸ€
