To turn our season round and maximise the potential of this squad of players we desperately need to turn the WFCG into a fortress, because at the moment teams are coming here and low blocking us and taking the points
It's becoming embarrassing especially against Coventry Glasner needs to look at his 3-4-2-1 system which works well away from home and adapt it at the City Ground
5 defenders 2 holding midfield players and only 3 attacking players is NOT the correct system at home simple as
Go 4 -2β3-1 and bring Hudson Odoi back into the side with Jesus and MGW as the 3 with Schlager and McAtee as the 2.
03 Oct 2026 09:52:01
Alternatively, if he is hell bent on 3 CBs, 5122, Austrian Larger holding, MGW and McAtee free roles/10s, leaving Jesus/Wood playing alongside Delap. We have Cunha and Murillo who could step out of defence and can play, lets use em. π³.
03 Oct 2026 10:43:45
That could work either way we need more attacking flair at home RRH.
03 Oct 2026 11:29:21
Not fussed about the flair tbh, just effectiveness, even Delap feeding off Woods knock downs would be better than what we've seen so far. Ndoye is useless at this level, needs shipping out in Jan imo, same with CHO if we aren't going to use him.
Alot also depends on Mr M's itchy trigger finger, if Glasner is untouchable, give him the squad and players he wants, January isn't to far away and expect us to be busy. π³.
03 Oct 2026 12:30:24
OG is limited in his tactics as he won't play wingers he relies totally on Munoz Williams Aina and Netz to provide the width and crosses
At home we don't need 3 CBS marking one striker get another attacking player on the pitch Kalimuendo Jesus or CHO.
03 Oct 2026 15:22:37
It's not like we've played the low blocking chip π€£ munmad for me glasner football is so predictable. Glasner out. Horrible brings nothing but boredom. I cannot see any player really getting along with it. Lose the changing room your f kd. Big M, bless him. How many times does he shoot himself in the foot.
Vitor bless the laddie brought a more than better show. With for me the hearts of the players. I've watched better subbuteo games without flicking a player. And no excuses for the cloth to be played on not ironed. Plz plz plz reds. Your clutching. Can't you see it. WFCG I can tell agrees with me.
03 Oct 2026 15:55:04
Living the glasner mr m dream π.
03 Oct 2026 16:35:52
OG patently has looked at CHO in training and doesn't rate him, or at least in his plans for the Forest team, Hutchinson has already been moved on. McAtee, however he rates highly above Sangare, Yates and Dominguez. All of which were in and out of the team last year. OG I am sure also wanted Delap, who will turn out an asset if remains fit. It would be a great shame if Ania is thought surplus to requirements too and he is a commited player. When he was a centre back I believe against the Villians it was one of the best games so far, but he cannot get to the bye line and cross as neither can Williams but Munoz can.
Trent Alexander typifies a player suited to the OG style of play It staggers me that he has lost his place in the England team to a centre back tonight !
OG has made decisions about certain players and moved them on, that can only be good. Bids will come in for MGW particularly for a team that will be playing champion league football. If Forest move up the table he may stay but if Arsenal want him, he will go as that could improve his England chances.
03 Oct 2026 19:14:05
I'd definitely rather clutch at straws than give up. Agree with Glasner or not, blind faith beats defeatism every day of the week. π³.
03 Oct 2026 19:21:02
The dark nights and cold is closing in skegs my friend, the team and fans need a blanket of warmth, not a cold outlook. Wrap up in your summer of memories.
05 Oct 2026 12:28:58
Or you could cover both ends of the spectrum by being realistic and pragmatic RRH?
02 Oct 2026 21:45:03
Interest report about Etihad Airlines stating in 2011 to the US Chamber of Commerce that THEY paid the sponsorship for MCFC stadium naming rights NOT the Saudi Government!
So which statement is true Mr MCFC?
03 Oct 2026 09:42:13
Problem is the Saudis have nothing to do with City. π€«.
03 Oct 2026 11:09:33
UAE are now threatening economic sanctions against the uk should city be punished. With our pathetic PM they will get off without any consequences. The rest of the premier league teams should refuse to play them. After all what's the point when you know they're going to carry on cheating. I find it hard to stomach.
03 Oct 2026 11:32:07
As i said earlier in the week, Vale, diplomatic nightmare. Also their Chair has Diplomatic immunity, which complicates things even further. π³.
03 Oct 2026 13:23:56
The more I read about this sorry saga the more I wonder if our MP is in city's corner.
03 Oct 2026 20:54:09
Vale, our PM has clearly stipulated that he will not be interfering in the Man City saga but will leave it to the Premier League and their process.
He has backed a review by HMRC as to whether money is owed to the country's coffers.
His contact with Man City's chairman was purely during his time as Mayor of Manchester, doing his job of attracting investment and jobs from the UAE in general and Man City in particular.
02 Oct 2026 11:38:47
If anyone wants a giggle, check out Swindon manager Ian Holloway's post match interview on Skysports news site. He's always been entertaining, but this is a new level of nutz ππ³.
02 Oct 2026 11:51:14
Looks like he is on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
02 Oct 2026 15:45:19
Definitely odd 67, i remember him coming out with a comment not to long ago, about their home ground being haunted, linking it with their poor form. π³.
02 Oct 2026 16:04:01
Just seen Rushcliffe council's vision of the new bridge, it's gone from a foot bridge to one with a tram line and a station on the other side of it. I think they're talking the p. ss and trying to either make Forest pay up or block the planning consent. And that's from one of the richest councils in England.
Mr M should re think and call their bluff and look elsewhere for a stadium. Would be cheaper in the long term. A bridge like that would be around 100mil add that to the re vamp and all the other concessions Forest are making it would take the bill over a Billion.
02 Oct 2026 10:29:06
Liverpool fans should sing the Kids are United, by Sham 69 on Sunday.
02 Oct 2026 13:05:44
It's going to be an interesting reception for Man City up and down the land Roots. Especially with Man City trying to portray themselves as the victims of a Premier League stitch up.
What's your view Ed 1 as a staunch Liverpool fan? Surely they won't resort to the loathsome " always the victim, never your fault " chants ?
{Ed001's Note - I think it will be mostly Shamchester chants judging by what I hsve seen online. They will get a lot of grief.}
01 Oct 2026 22:11:59
Neco, I just cannot tell ya all how happy I was to see this laddie stay reds. For me everything I love about the game. Not always about goal scorers or midfielders which can easily gain brownie points because of one play etc. He just gives 110% in every game. Captain material.
I know mgw gives the same. But again as I said b4 season started. Let's frustration get the better of him. Which takes him wide of his position. As he's one of the only hopes we've got for a goal leads me frustrated.
Anyway well done neco young man. Proud red and I can see it.
01 Oct 2026 22:16:44
Neco not been great this season needs to step up and do his job.
01 Oct 2026 22:40:42
Don't they all skegs ? Or am I missing something.
02 Oct 2026 08:17:04
5 managers in a year doesn't help performance levels. I'd think the players don't know whether they're coming or going or what style and system they'll be playing in a few months time.
02 Oct 2026 09:36:34
They get paid plenty to do there job. and i suggest they try and step up to glasners system else there will be a number 6 manager with a different system coming in. just get on with the job your paid for simples.
02 Oct 2026 11:40:48
Ooooooh! I do like it when you're all strong and firm Skeggs. fact ! πππππππ.
02 Oct 2026 15:41:16
Stokey, re-read that mate and look at it from our point of view, possibly the campest comment ever? ππ³.
02 Oct 2026 18:37:41
I don't need to re read it RRH mate. I like to tailor my comments to reach my target audience where possible.πππ.
02 Oct 2026 18:48:34
Bullπ©, you were flirting with Skegs. π€£.
02 Oct 2026 18:58:32
He loves me rrh π₯°π₯°π₯°π€£π€£.
02 Oct 2026 20:13:23
Not my type RRH, male and dim for a start.
It's off but whenever I think about you ladies from the East Coast the brilliantly funny song by Victoria Wood " Let's do itβ' perhaps better known as "βThe Balllad of Barry and Freda'β.
Don't ask me why.
I saw her show many years ago in the West end ( the Lyceum I think).
Laugh out loud funny and a wonderful musician.
01 Oct 2026 19:59:18
Funny this.
Just watching live international football on bbc.
According to my Mrs, Oscar Bobb has just scored for Norwich (NOR) v Walsall (WAL).
You've got to love em eh.
01 Oct 2026 20:35:49
I'm watching Greece, good old 442 working wonders against Netherlands looking good.
01 Oct 2026 21:02:46
So your going from the biggest bore ever jay glasner. To 4-4-2 ? Still luv ya son π.
02 Oct 2026 09:38:09
If he wins us trophies and steadys the ship in the Premier league I dont care how boring the football is.
02 Oct 2026 11:42:34
What if he was as boring as Dyche Skeggs?
π£π£π£π.
02 Oct 2026 15:35:33
I said if he wins us trophies stokie not get us relegated π.
02 Oct 2026 18:33:35
As. I never tire of pointing out Skegs, SD got us 22 points from 18 games, OG has got 5 from 5. Out of the Carabao too. Lost at home to the then bottom club. I'm not sure what trophy OG is aiming at atm.
SD at least actually stabilise the ship.
So, I'll ask again, is OG as boring as you say SD was?
It's a simple question. You can't have it both ways ( although perhaps you did during Skegness Gay Pride mate? ππ.
02 Oct 2026 20:01:25
Anyone that thinks Dyche is a good manager needs their head inspecting. and definitely knows nothing about football π.
02 Oct 2026 22:27:55
Let me try and put it as simply as I can Skeggs.
Last season we got 44 points in total. A comfortably safe total. Whether or not Dyche is a good manager, he got half of those points in less than half the games in a season. If that's not stability after the disaster that was Ange I don't know what is mate
In contrast OG has got 5 points from 15 and we are out of a Cup competition.
As you watch Forest play week in and week out, I leave you to decide how boring we are.
02 Oct 2026 21:20:53
As usual you can't answer the question or back up your statement Skegs.
Whether or not SD was a good manager or not, the point is irrefutably that SD is way ahead of OG success and stability wise at this point in time and his football was, in many ways, better to watch imo.
Or have you conveniently forgotten the wins against Liverpool Leeds and Spurs? Or 9 points out of 9 rather than 2 points out of 9.
The fact that you can't and won't answer the simple question I asked tells me it s you that knows nothing about football mate.
Perhaps you should engage brain before opening gob in future.
02 Oct 2026 23:56:38
Stokey, are you saying if Dyche got more points than Ange that means he's decent? Err, no, they are both useless at this level. Suicide football and Wimbledon dinosaur tactics.
It's OK to be wrong about Dyche. I tried to give Ange a chance but it was too painful to keep it up. The most pathetic thing about last season is that we did get a decent boss in the end and got rid of him as well. Forest is a mad house.
03 Oct 2026 07:57:46
There's no doubt hes wrong about Dyche. but he couldn't admit it.π.
03 Oct 2026 08:31:08
Ange was a low bar Cyclist as he didn't win a game mate. I reckon I could have got more points than him.
As I said, whether or not anyone thinks Dyche was a good manager is purely I matter of opinion.
I'm just quoting statistics which are facts and not opinions.
As for the quality of football boredom wise at the CG under OG I leave that to the experts like Skeggs who sees them every week.
For myself.
at the moment, I'm not impressed by the points, results or quality of football.
I'm pointing out, as simply as I can, that Skeggs opinion is not tenable.
He apparently was vehemently anti Dyche because his football was boring even though he got us points and stabilised the ship.
OG is acceptable even though he hasn't got us many points and his football is equally boring.
As I said, he can't have it both ways.
03 Oct 2026 10:09:14
Nice comeback Skeggs. Is that the best you can do? Actually, it probably is.π
Perhaps we've all forgotten the advantages OG has enjoyed over Dyche
OG had a pre season
OG inherited a squad that was buzzing, scoring for fun, in top 6 form wise, top 4 goals scored wise. Dyche took over from the disaster that was Ange.
OG has been backed financially in the transfer window with quality players Munoz, Delap, Schlager and Diomande
Dyche got Lucca ( on loan thank God).'
Yet SD is still doing better than OG.
Apart from a win against a Villa team with the heart ripped out of it ( or in transition as they say) we'd be in the bottom 3.
These are all facts Skeggs but feel free to come back and show me where I'm wrong mate.
03 Oct 2026 11:37:56
Jesus wept, let it go, Dyche is old news, FACT! π³.
03 Oct 2026 11:41:49
Here's a massive fact as we all know you like facts. you was wrong about dyche just own it pal π.
03 Oct 2026 15:36:14
I predicted we'd get dyche well b4 he signed, fact π€£ not proud just can read big m inside out at times. Strange one.
03 Oct 2026 17:45:19
That's not a fact Skeggs. Repeating over and over again an opinion that is contradicted by the stats just makes you look daft mate.
Likewise the " living the Mr M and Glasner dreamβ mantra sounds just desperate to be honest.
03 Oct 2026 18:04:39
Not as desperate as saying dyche is a great manager hey !π€£π€£.
03 Oct 2026 19:32:40
Never said anything of the sort Skeggs. As I used to say to your mate Larry, you keep bowling me those pies and I'll keep smashing them for six mate!
Try and get one thing right at least π.
03 Oct 2026 20:45:24
You did pinocchio and we all know it. thats why your still trying your hardest to make out he was a good manager with pathetic statistics. Fact he was sacked because players didn't want to play is dycheball or am I wrong about that as well π€£π€£π€£.
03 Oct 2026 22:03:29
You are entirely wrong in just about everything you say Skegs. Those "pathetic statisticsβ prove it which is why you can't cope with them mate.
It's a sure sign that you've run out of road when you resort to juvenile name calling.
It's you that's pathetic not the stats.
It's also a sign that you lost all credibility on here when you start to speak for everybody again as in " we all know itβ. Really?
Come on, grow up a bit.
01 Oct 2026 12:05:52
On Tommy Turtles giving MGW a paltry 10 mins or so as a.
sub after ending a family holiday in Dubai anybody agree with the following?
Firstly, shows complete disrespect for him and our club
Secondly, shows TT is a typical alpha male who can't admit he made a mistake in not selecting MGW for the World Cup, despite him having the best stats in goals and assists from midfield of any English player? Stung by criticism that his decision cost us the trophy?
01 Oct 2026 15:24:53
If Rice and Palmer play the first Premier league game back should cause some raised eyebrows, but if Palmer is chosen over MGW at the next international break then there's definantly something wrong with Tuchel.
01 Oct 2026 19:31:37
If he picks Henderson again there is definitely something wrong!
01 Oct 2026 20:15:17
Something wrong lol for starters hes German π€£π€£ why would any German want a England football team to win anything.
02 Oct 2026 13:12:13
Perhaps the Germans generally aren't as narrow minded and insular as we Brits are perhaps. Tuchel will want success on his own terms for his own career. Whether he's capable of achieving will depend on his abilities, not his nationality.
As an irrelevant footnote, one of Henning Wehn's funniest stories was when he did a gig in France. At French customs he was asked the usual, name etc. When it came to " Occupationβ ? He said " No, not this time, just here on tour ".πππππ.
02 Oct 2026 19:09:00
I love Henning Weng Stokey, hilarious.
He goes on these long winded stories but ALWAYS worth it for the punch line in the end.
Did you see his football tour of Argentina.this has to be the best day of my life!
01 Oct 2026 10:29:18
It would appear ( source is BBC's Dan Roan) that the rest of the Premiership owners and seniors figures want the City debacle to be done and dusted before the end of the season.
There is a Premier League regulation that says all appeals should be heard with within 12 weeks if the appeal being lodged and finalised within 30 days of that.
Also that these are the maximum periods of time and should be expedited before this if possible, particularly before the season gets towards the business end.
On the reverse side I see that the state owned Emirates airline have weighed in with the threat of suing the Premier League and overturning their findings as it reflects badly on them, the club sponsors ( even though they haven't been named in any of the charges or guilty verdicts ).
As with Man City, the airline has limitless wealth as we all know.
It's going to be an interesting season.
01 Oct 2026 10:51:09
I can see this becoming a diplomatic nightmare, especially if the owners try and sell up. π³.
01 Oct 2026 19:34:47
They should have thought of that before bank rolling a bent and morally corrupt club, I'll be spending my airline fares with Freddie Laker.
02 Oct 2026 08:18:46
Freddie Laker. That takes me back mate.π.
02 Oct 2026 09:49:48
Book early π! Or you could go Pontinental? π.
02 Oct 2026 13:13:03
Happy days, an age of innocence.ππ.
03 Oct 2026 16:21:18
Didn't he get involved with sponsoring cricket ? (Freddy laker)
30 Sep 2026 21:24:25
So it begins with retaliation threats from Etihad, stating they've done nothing wrong and will look at a law suit against the PL!
This is what I expected from all of this, with threats of law suits and simple threats!
MCFC have been caught cheating, and don't want to face the consequences of their actions.
The owners have made millions from this, probably with multiple side bets in the Middle East!
Come on PL, throw them out of the league with huge fines to boot!
Shame on you MCFC.
30 Sep 2026 22:01:03
Arabs don't like to loose face, they're going to throw millions fighting this case. PL should act right away and suspend them from the league, hit them in the pockets and when they're ready to talk stick it to them BIG TIME.
