I posted this to show how we were playing a different way against Fenerbahce than we played before, especially under Nuno. Look how high up the pitch we were playing. You'll have to download similar from Nuno's (or Dyche's) time, but we played a lot deeper and used a low block. It is proof that you can play a higher line against quality opposition and still be solid defensively.

Ok, we might have to play deeper against some of the quicker sides away from home, but it shows what a difference to our better players it makes having a more positive setup and attitude from the coach. But, to the people who were saying we are playing the Nuno way - no, we were not! Try not to have a meltdown if we lose to Liverpool. This is a better way to play.

2

21 Feb 2026 22:14:23
Sorry, I forgot to say. We have exactly the kind of players who can play this way. We were stifling players like Sangare (nobody forward to pass to when he got the ball, except Jesus) and Murillo (who needs license to go forward or players in advanced positions to pass to, in order to thrive).

And this system will suit Hutchinson and Bakwa too, as if you play proper wingers you need more than one player in the fecking box!

3

21 Feb 2026 22:21:56
It's a controlled way of playing as high up the field as possible, Cyclist, and imo the right way. If you sit back, you invite trouble, and it's not a good watch for fans. Tbh, we have no idea of team selection or set up tomorrow.

I've a feeling he'll stick with a flat back four for now, and probably an unchanged starting line-up. It's not time to get carried away, but lots of positives to take from the Fenerbahce game.

2

21 Feb 2026 22:30:05
Wow Cyclist, I'm glad you have that much time to spend on collecting all this data. I'm too busy working to do that. But after one game, it's all a load of rubbish. It's a season that you go through to end up in a European competition, which Nuno did; no matter what tactics he deployed, he got us there. A fact which all of your homework shows is a maybe, especially after just one game.

I can't believe fans can get this excited after one game. Let's just see where we are after the next 12 games. It won't be long. A win against Liverpool or even a draw would be better than the result Thursday in my eyes, no matter how we play. And, of course, the players turning up in the game.

6

21 Feb 2026 22:39:24
And I think you will find our new manager is a big fan of Nuno, whether he plays his way or not. I just hope he's as good as Nuno. Then I will be a happy chappy. Anyway, work early in the morning. You carry on with your research, Cyclist. And some posters have the nerve to call Stokey out with his long boring posts. 🤣🤣

1

21 Feb 2026 22:43:50
Like your best mate, Larry, and you've never done that, Skeggs? Unbelievable.

1

21 Feb 2026 22:34:40
Skeggs you'll have to let your obsession with nuno go, its not good for your mental health keep crying for him to come back 😁🤣🤣🤣

1

22 Feb 2026 01:55:53
I said all that, but I would probably go for a more Nuno setup against the big sides away. 😆 But, just because Nuno and the new boss are mates, it doesn't make em identical twins. Why do you think uploading a screenshot of the "average" players' positions is doing loads of research, Jay? It took about two minutes, and probably the same amount of time you took typing a rubbish reply.

Call me a computer wizz kid. 🤫

1

22 Feb 2026 07:24:35
Morning, boys. That's my scrambled eggs on toast done and dusted. Now off to work. Busy morning laying flooring. Fingers crossed that every player gives 100 percent like they did Thursday. Not expecting the same, but as long as they show they're in a battle I will be happy. 😀

2

22 Feb 2026 08:23:02
Working on the Sabbath. Tut, tut.

1

22 Feb 2026 08:29:00
Interesting post, Cyclist. The key words there are "quality opposition", and I'm not sure Fenerbache were mates. (Was that short enough, Uuuredds?) . 😂 😂 💤

1

22 Feb 2026 09:38:55
Huge well done to Leigh Wood!!! Brilliant win last night!!!

1

22 Feb 2026 09:39:22
That did me good, Stokie.

0

22 Feb 2026 09:46:41
Really can't get my head around some on here, why can't they accept we played sub standard football under Dyche? We demolished the Turks in their own back yard. A performance to be proud of. Long may it continue. BTW good post cyclist, those tactics are the same as i use on footy manager with Burnley, got them top half challenging for Europe. 🌳

0

22 Feb 2026 11:05:04
Stokey, Fenerbahce may not be top class opposition, but their game against Villa is an interesting comparison. Have a look at the stats for that game. They gave Villa a really tough time. We totally outclassed them, so maybe a bit more credit is due.

1

22 Feb 2026 11:28:58
Winter, don't question your master, Skeggs. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

2

22 Feb 2026 11:53:29
DTP get your tongue out of stevies rear end. 🤣 🤣 🌳

21 Feb 2026 19:29:01
Fancied Bournemouth to do savour tonight but now up to us to beat Giropool tomorrow.

0

21 Feb 2026 19:44:30
It was always up to us, and Bournemouth did do us a favour, and outplayed and outfought West Ham. City away up next for them. They needed three points but never looked like getting them.

2

21 Feb 2026 20:02:40
Never looked like getting them. What game were you watching? Tense 2nd half, chances for both sides could have gone either way. Bowen went close in the last minute. Sommerville looks class. I was relieved when the final whistle went. I think we need to stay above them to stay up. Last month we were 9/1 to go down, we are now 9/4.

Tomorrow is a massive game for us, especially when you consider 2 tough away games to follow. Looking forward to it. Atmosphere should be up there. It will be interesting to see how we approach it. We know Liverpool struggle against a low block, and we took advantage of that earlier in the season. Or do we try and carry on from Thursday.

3

21 Feb 2026 20:07:38
You forgot to mention Bournemouth hitting the post, plus all their other chances in the second half, 67. So, what game were you watching?

1

21 Feb 2026 20:22:02
I thought it was pretty even, with clear chances for both. Bournemouth will be happy with the result, as am I.

0

21 Feb 2026 20:28:33
Just glad they never won.

0

21 Feb 2026 20:31:10
Not the one where West Ham got outplayed and outfought. I didn't forget anything. I said it could have gone either way. I think the Sky pundits said overall WHU had the better chances. I call it the way I see it without bias.

3

21 Feb 2026 20:35:54
I actually thought they were both ordinary. West Ham would have been targeting that game as a win, given the fixtures they've got on the horizon.

0

21 Feb 2026 20:39:33
West Ham, 3 shots on target.Bournemouth, 5 shots on target.Usual possession advantage from Bournemouth as well. You think the Sky pundits? So you're not that sure then. 😂😂😂

0

21 Feb 2026 20:54:37
Positive As I said, I was relieved to hear the final whistle. West Ham 18 shots. Bournemouth 10. Do us a favour and say you think West Ham will stay up. That should jinx them.

2

21 Feb 2026 20:57:43
67, At those odds the bookies are giving us a 68% chance of staying up.

2

21 Feb 2026 21:02:52
We had 35 apparently against Wolves, but how many were on target? Bournemouth got 50% on target, one hitting the upright. West Ham got 15% on target and were just relying on breakaways. Bournemouth controlled midfield.

1

21 Feb 2026 21:13:36
It's not about West Ham with DTP, 67; it's about Nuno, and Nuno proving him wrong over and over again. His prediction of West Ham getting nowhere near Forest is looking as good as the one where he said Nuno wouldn't do anything with Forest.

To be honest, I don't even know why you're all bothered about what West Ham are doing; it's about us getting results. A great win on Thursday, but for me we need to be doing it in the Premier League. Let's hope they turn up tomorrow like they did on Thursday.

1

21 Feb 2026 21:15:39
Like I said, it could have gone either way. Stevie, that's right. But it's a big drop from 90%. WHU were 1/3 not long ago; now they are around evens. Still 12 games to go.

If we can keep our key players fit, we should be fine. We always seem to struggle without Murillo. If the rumours about him falling out with Dyche are true, then Mr M had to pull the trigger.

1

21 Feb 2026 21:17:25
Don't you know they "Missed on Purpose" DTP? Still kills me, that one! Tank you! Tank you! Tank you! O'Larry. 🍀🍀🍀

2

21 Feb 2026 21:19:13
Bless Skeggs us back. 🤣🤣🤣 Where has Nuno proved me wrong? He's below us in the table, and we had Dyche in charge. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

2

21 Feb 2026 21:20:53
67, if we happen to win tomorrow, it will be 90% again. Bookmakers' odds are reactive, not predictive.

2

21 Feb 2026 21:40:46
You need to let it go, DTP. It will eat you up inside. Knowing Nuno has made you make predictions and made life a living hell. Just take Nuno's face down off the dartboard, that's your first step, mate. We will help you through it. I can't believe you're all bickering over West Ham stats. 🤣 Save your energy for tomorrow, that's the game that matters.

1

21 Feb 2026 21:48:22
Did your 5p bet come in, Skeggs, and have you got some credit again on your phone? 😂😂😂

1

21 Feb 2026 21:51:02
Spot on, Steve. A win tomorrow would be awesome.......

1

21 Feb 2026 22:04:40
Well that's what I call stating the obvious. 🤣

0

21 Feb 2026 20:58:25
Told you below there was no prediction in one of my posts about palace, but you obviously have trouble comprehending that

0

21 Feb 2026 22:13:36
As opposed to bull and poor predictions.

All summer all we heard from you was how we need to sell Sangare.

Have you changed your view.

Ie) are you big enough to admit how wrong you were?

0

21 Feb 2026 22:37:09
Most of the site agreed on Sangare for two seasons, 67, as he showed nothing. I like the way you came on tonight to pick an argument, by the way.

0

21 Feb 2026 22:50:58
I'm glad you like it. Good. After all, it is a banter site.

1

21 Feb 2026 22:56:46
Always, but don't get mardy. 😁🤣🤣🤣

0

21 Feb 2026 23:38:53
Why would I be mardy?

1

22 Feb 2026 09:09:49
All those panda pops again, DTP. I bet that noggin of yours hurts today. 🌳

0

22 Feb 2026 10:50:58
In Nottingham already winter, thoroughbred pal.

0

22 Feb 2026 11:56:10
Inbred. 🤣 🌳

1

22 Feb 2026 12:47:09
Just about what i'd expect from you.

0

21 Feb 2026 12:29:51
I see all the pundits believe Liverpool will beat us. That's a good sign for me because I think they are useless.
In Istanbul we had a partisan crowd against us, and I liked Pereira's idea of meeting the opposition "Eye to Eye" and showing no fear.
We will need that against Liverpool and must not relax for a second, chase every ball, fight for every space and position.

Ignore the crowd to some extent and show no mercy give no quarter. If we find ourselves ahead, keep the attacks going.
Let's make this our game of the season!

2

21 Feb 2026 14:07:53
Most Europa teams are poor, mate. Until we show the same ability in the league, we will struggle. As Stevie rightly says, there are perhaps just enough teams we can scrape points against, but Forest have been very, very poor in the league when it's mattered the most this season.

1

21 Feb 2026 15:26:20
Some craic at "Twickers", lads!! 🤭

1

21 Feb 2026 16:12:29
Rogie, well-deserved win for your lads. Once again we bottled it. 🌳

1

21 Feb 2026 15:57:33
Embarrassing England rogie 💩

1

21 Feb 2026 16:37:17
England were absolutely rubbish. Complete lack of discipline. New manager needed - I'm sure Dyche would fit in well - up and under lol.

2

21 Feb 2026 17:16:44
I'm surprised, to be honest, lads. Thought we'd get turned over.

0

21 Feb 2026 16:41:24
I hate you Rogie.

0

21 Feb 2026 17:31:32
Didn't realise you were a follower of Rugby too Rodger.

0

21 Feb 2026 17:36:03
You're well boring now, O'Larry. 😉😉😉

0

21 Feb 2026 19:26:39
We have to be happy with West Ham drawing!!! Coyrs!!!!!

1

21 Feb 2026 09:26:07
Giropool have 4 main weaknesses imo which we need to exploit

Curtis Jones is not a full back
Van Dyke is slow and not the player he was
Konate is the French Morato and always has mistakes in him
Salah is over hyped and Williams always plays well against him

Keep Ekiteke quiet and mark Sjboslie and we will win this 2-1.

2

21 Feb 2026 10:30:55
Munmad Salah isn't overhyped, mate, but he's definitely lost a little something this season. Let's hope he doesn't find it tomorrow.

4

21 Feb 2026 10:40:01
Agreed, Stevie, mate, if we play anything like we did on Thursday night, then we cannot ask for more than that. A raucous City Ground can only get the players up for it. Cautiously optimistic, get amongst them, don't let them settle into any kind of rhythm. Coyrs!!!!

5

21 Feb 2026 11:13:17
Glasner looks completely shot now...What a spectacular fall from grace? That Wembley win must seem like a distant memory. Not gloating by any means, think he needs to go now, for his own well being.Just saying.

5

21 Feb 2026 14:12:47
There are more people claiming benefits (or as you put it) in Nottm, Munmad - Liverpool is miles ahead of nottm and far more progressive economically. I guess you'll be singing the cringe worthy sign on chant tomorrow as well - which frankly is torturous to here and an embarrassment to the club.

3

21 Feb 2026 17:02:39
Gold Stars, they don't seem embarrassed by the chant "scab", even though 99% of the population of the city of Nottingham has never seen a pit, never mind worked down one.

1

21 Feb 2026 17:49:17
I don't disagree with you about the chant, Stevie. It's equally ridiculous. I'm all for giving folk a hostile atmosphere, but at least make it relevant. With the pitiful state of Nottm, it's beyond ridiculous to laugh at the societal problems of others. Nottm is a desperate city nowadays.

0

21 Feb 2026 18:31:19
Gold Stars, I think Liverpool is a great city, I just don't like the football team in red that plays there. Anything (within reason) that makes them feel uncomfortable tomorrow suits me. It's not a chant I've ever joined in with, mate, but it will happen, and we both know it. I doubt it will affect anything or anyone, really.

2

21 Feb 2026 17:26:54
Closet Scouser Gold Star it's never their fault
just remember that if Giropool is that great why don't you move there

Your house and contents insurance will go up 300 per cent though 😂

0

21 Feb 2026 20:05:34
Munmad, you couldn't be further from the truth. I know him well, and he's Nottingham through and through. I do agree, it's a two-way thing, with both sets of supporters coming out with the same predictable chants from times gone by, and, quite frankly, are well past their sell-by date.

0

21 Feb 2026 20:08:29
How do you know I don't live there?

1

21 Feb 2026 19:32:45
Nottingham is a great city Gold Stars like I say if you don't like it I will drive you to Leicester see how you like that!!

0

21 Feb 2026 21:16:35
Munmad, the man from Derby, say no more.

0

21 Feb 2026 09:00:14
My take on the results this weekend for the teams fighting relegation

West Ham 2 Bournemouth 2 25 pts
Spurs 1 Arsenal 3 Spurs 29 pts
Forest 2 Giropool 1 Forest 30pts.

3

21 Feb 2026 09:34:12
That'll do nicely.

10

21 Feb 2026 16:10:55
🤣😅😅 Munmad only gets 2 x thumbs up. Ernie gets 5 x and that's only for now. Couldn't make it up.

1

21 Feb 2026 16:26:22
Probably indicates how many profiles he has. 🤣 🌳

1

21 Feb 2026 17:54:41
Just the one.

2

21 Feb 2026 18:00:48
Ok, Reds, tell me who thumbed up Silkman?

1

21 Feb 2026 19:30:28
Ok, Reds. Bossman Bowie has asked you all a question and you must answer or woe betide you.

4

21 Feb 2026 19:56:41
He's right though no one gets that many thumbs up for just agreeing.

1

21 Feb 2026 22:25:57
I've asked them to come forward, Ureds. Not one yet.

0

21 Feb 2026 23:07:06
Looks like Ed has sorted it out. 😁

1

22 Feb 2026 09:14:07
Silkworm, aka Dave, aka Ravers, aka Joan, aka Wilbert, aka Fred Flinstone, aka....? Just one? My backside. 🤣 You do know anything you have to say now carries zero kudos. 🌳

2

22 Feb 2026 12:02:49
I'll be honest, I liked his post but could only like it once. I did it to help stir the. 💩 🤣 🌳

2

Wolves Player Ratings v Arsenal

21 Feb 2026 07:39:23
{Ed's Note - PaghamWolf has posted a new article entitled, Wolves Player Ratings v Arsenal

0

20 Feb 2026 22:40:44
In all honesty its going to take 40 plus points to stay up this season
Pretty much unheard of.

2

21 Feb 2026 08:00:59
DTP, no mate. 38 will be comfortable, in my opinion. We'll see.

0

21 Feb 2026 08:06:29
Let's compromise at 39.

1

21 Feb 2026 09:06:13
You have changed your tune, DTP. A while back you reckoned West Ham would be cut adrift, with Nuno as their manager.

4

21 Feb 2026 10:40:59
Nearly everyone had them gone, mate...

1

21 Feb 2026 11:26:32
They are still odds on to go down. Just hope that is still the case after this round of fixtures.

0

20 Feb 2026 19:46:21
If we can snatch a point against Liverpool that would be good. Looks like palace are in free fall and spurs are struggling too. Really hope we get out of this mess COYR.

6

20 Feb 2026 20:51:19
It's Brighton that are in free fall along with Spurs, not Palace.

2

20 Feb 2026 20:56:04
We can beat them, just run at their defence, it can't cope and that's their weakness.

2

20 Feb 2026 21:02:49
Just watched Vitor's Open Mic Training Session on YouTube... Seems to know what he wants, and the players responded well. Encouraging signs atm.

2

20 Feb 2026 21:21:27
Rogie, he treats players like adults and respects that most are international players.

2

20 Feb 2026 21:43:02
A point would be a good result. 3 points would be a great result.

4

21 Feb 2026 06:46:17
The arm around Bakwa at full time speaks volumes to me.

0

21 Feb 2026 16:28:08
DTP, stop predicting. Bloody Brighton two up. 🌳

1

21 Feb 2026 16:50:24
Was thinking the same. It's almost guaranteed.

0

21 Feb 2026 18:23:34
I didn't see a predicted outcome for today's game against Brentford? I merely pointed out they were more in freefall than Palace; there is no prediction in that at all.

1

20 Feb 2026 18:12:10
Stevie. Interested that you think 4? wins will do it?
Where do you think we'd be most likely to he then mate?
That's why Dyche and the players annoyed me so much as I felt we took maximum points at home to palace and wolves we'd be well on the way.

Dyche should have gone after Everton at home or after Wrexham in my opinion.

5

20 Feb 2026 19:24:01
Think we can beat Burnley, Brighton, Bournemouth and Fulham.

3

20 Feb 2026 19:37:44
I think we'll get a few draws as well, Spurs away isn't exactly daunting.

1

20 Feb 2026 20:06:31
Yeah. A few weeks back I'd got it as Fulham, Burnley, Bournemouth, Wolves and Palace. I hear you on Brighton though.

1

20 Feb 2026 20:14:24
3 points on Sunday.

1

20 Feb 2026 22:39:08
2 Star, you are so right. He should have gone after Everton, but the away game, then the home game, then the Leeds game, not to mention the Sturm Graz, Wrexham or Braga games, and add taking 2 points from Palace, Leeds and Wolves.

While I don't like the revolving door, I admire he made a decision that could save our season, because we weren't going anywhere but down otherwise.

2

20 Feb 2026 16:05:41
For me, and sure I post of many others on here, I actually live forest apart from my obvious wife, kids, grandkids, and my mate jimmy. I keep going on about the ( TOGETHERNESS) just wanting to play for each other. Not going into last nights game. We are obviously proud of it. Off the scale.

Reds from me to you lot. I just hope we have a manager/ coach that just brings that belief. Again don't know much about the laddie, and I won't go into his past, I believe in what's put before me. More than happy. And before I go. Thank you ed33 what an amazing adjustments you have done young man. FTID,

1

20 Feb 2026 19:06:47
What about me you two timing rotter. Jimmy uhh, I'll scratch his eyes out 🤣🤣

1

20 Feb 2026 19:49:52
🤣🤣 Larry.

0

20 Feb 2026 13:17:38
Spot on Munmad. Early days but I am liking what I see from Vitor already. The team were superb and really wanted to play for him. that's what we can acheive when we put our best side out with a positive game plan.

Like I stated early days but Big M. might just have pulled off a survival masterstroke, now for the double over the scouses. U REDS.

4

20 Feb 2026 15:33:11
I suppose when you use the scattergun approach you get it right eventually. It's knowing when that time comes, and remember, he has employed him before, so why didn't he bring him in before Dyche? And, of course, it's early days yet. If we survive, he will get the gun out again and aim it Fulham's way. 🤡 🤡

0

20 Feb 2026 19:45:04
Dyche was a free agent, Vitor has still cost us money as we had to make an agreement with Wolves. I always believe Dyche was only bought in to steady us for a season, but I think the away games in Europe and the FA Cup tie at Wrexham had a bearing on his sacking.

Fans paid a lot of money to go to those games, and were cheated by Dyche. Plus, the atmosphere had died under him at home games. Sunday is now a game to look forward to.

1

20 Feb 2026 13:00:58
I'd love to have been the Custody Sergeant in Norfolk, just so I could say "Prints Andrew" 😂😂😂.

9

20 Feb 2026 13:27:54
Football site Stokey, why do we want to discuss alleged traitors and perverts?

2

20 Feb 2026 14:09:54
It's a joke, Stevie.

12

20 Feb 2026 14:26:18
Red Cyclist being called a clown by a lefty Guardian reader is almost a badge of honour. I see no humour in the story of a bloke who was allegedly involved in the trafficking of young girls. If you and Stokey do, that's your problem, not mine. I come on here to talk about football, not to be patronised by people like you.

3

20 Feb 2026 14:51:14
Spot on Stevie. A member of the biggest benefit scroungers in Britain. Trust Dixon of Dock Dyche to find a light side to the disgusting individual 😏

5

20 Feb 2026 16:27:15
Wow you two, for me he gave a joke.

9

20 Feb 2026 19:23:16
Didn't Andrew play some footsy at the Palace? He usually scored. Just a joke, lads, but mentioned football.

2

20 Feb 2026 20:09:59
Larry made me laugh. 😂

0

20 Feb 2026 21:38:55
Stevie, Larry, nobody goes along with the jokes about Andrew. I was surprised at the Royal Family statement. * We are devastated to hear about Andrew's car crash next Wednesday. 🫢

1

20 Feb 2026 22:12:23
You've got tunnel vision, Bowie.

Stevie, one of the most bizarre posts I've read on here (from a long list). Lefty Guardian reader? Called you a clown? Not guilty on both counts, mate. Chill out. If you can't have a laugh, have a beer.

🙄🙄🙄 Larry, your post is par for the course for you, so I won't comment. I bet you didn't last long as a Prison Officer, did you? I'm assuming that's a wind up. 🙄😂

It was a joke. It is a banter site as well as a footy site. Keep your hair on, Stevie. My 11-year-old would be facepalming if he read that unnecessary frothing at the mouth. 😘

Congratulations Vitor for having the balls to play our strongest side in Istanbul a great performance and some lovely attacking football

I just hope it doesn't backfire with a flat performance against Giropool on Sunday

At least he managed to rest MGW Anderson Jesus Hutchinson and CHO after an hour

What pleased me most was the attacking intent right from the off in a very hostile environment against a decent side, we were on the front foot and not parking the bus Fenerbahce were caught cold by our tactics

Well done lads keep it up I thought Murrilo Williams and Sangare were all superb with the rest of the team excellent as well

Let's get after Liverpool on Sunday now show them no respect at TWFCG.

A little bit more confident about Sunday??? Nice feeling around at the moment: Win/New Coach/Smiley players; dare I say happy fans! (PS, Stokey, saw your reply on Discussion last night, but it ain't on my PC this morning). Was it a dream?

It was less a dream for Andy, mate, more of a nightmare, I think. I saw a brilliant photo from one of my former colleagues from The Sweeney showing Regan and Carter with the caption "Get yer Crown, mate, you're nicked".

😂😂😂😂 On a serious note, I think in these circumstances misconduct in a public office will be difficult to prove. Perhaps they might find a sex tape or two from Epstein...?
