Sadly, Worrall having a bit of a mare so far.

To say he's not played a full 90 minutes of football for a year, I'm not surprised.

Joe Worrel vs Morato tonight in the Championship. ?.
11 Sep 2026 19:57:20
Clash Of The Titans!!!
???.
11 Sep 2026 20:10:37
Morato is playing LB, what could go wrong? ??.
11 Sep 2026 20:28:35
I always rated Joe much more than many others seemed to rate him. Former England U20 Captain for a reason.
11 Sep 2026 20:29:47
I didn't realise, Fester sitting 18th in League One(the third tier) is their lowest position in 142 years. Keep up the good work Russell Martin. ??.
11 Sep 2026 20:31:38
Morato assist???
I need a lie down!!!
11 Sep 2026 20:33:30
Very likable character is Joe, unfortunately I think his complete lack of pace really hurts his chances in the Prem.?.
11 Sep 2026 20:39:16
Morato 'driving down the left'???, maybe Nuno knows something that we all don't. ?.
11 Sep 2026 20:41:52
Legolas, Joe was wasted at Burnley, hope he gets success with Wrexham.
11 Sep 2026 20:50:29
Same here tbf.
11 Sep 2026 21:09:48
Yes, I agree that his lack of pace was always the issue. Surely we could have worked with him further on that? I always thought that his positional sense was usually very good though and he was a natural leader/organiser on the field. Joe also bled Forest. I was sad to see him leave us.
11 Sep 2026 21:17:21
Rogie?, he having a decent game, way better than that lump Konstantinos Mavropanos, he's a walking calamity. ?.
12 Sep 2026 09:47:35
Well, i take back everything i said about Morato, he was superb last night. A LB, capable of getting down the touchline and delivering amazing crosses. Who knew, a Nuno master stroke? ?.
12 Sep 2026 11:06:58
RRH when we played him at left back notably at villa park a couple of years ago he got ripped to pieces, championship is obviously much easier in a team that's dominant as well, probably found his level.
12 Sep 2026 11:17:49
I'm a fan of Joe Worrell but his lack of pace at in the top tier was sorely exposed. Even at Championship level playing in SCs back 3, I remember he was always calling nervously to Spence or Johnno to cover for him. It's a shame because he was a great captain and leader.
As far as working with him to compensate for lack of speed you can get away with it if you have a superb football brain to anticipate where the balls going. Some great defenders have been amongst the slowest. think of Bobby Moore, Franco Baresi, Steve Bruce, Dave McKay for example.
12 Sep 2026 11:32:10
Stevie, i know mate, its all kinda tongue in cheek. I was just surprised that he was playing with real intent regarding getting forward and delivering decent crosses. He actually looked comfortable and solid at that level. Comfortable and solid are two words i never thought I'd write about Morato. ?.

So an away day down in Birmingham is on the horizon, hoping Villa are leggy after the midweek Champions League game. They definitely looked brighter going forward vs Brugge, going to be a hard away trip as it always is in Aston. Our lads have had a whole weeks rest and a time together on the training ground. In OG we trust, COYR. ?
11 Sep 2026 11:15:42
Always a tough game there been a long time since we took 3 points from there. but hopefully tired legs players out through injury. And our lads getting use to the new system we will take 3 points uredddssss Uredddssss.
11 Sep 2026 12:22:27
Good time to play Villa, there in flux at the moment with losing key players, contending with European games, Glasner has had a full week to drill his style of play into the team, so can only see an away win.
11 Sep 2026 12:31:46

???.
11 Sep 2026 19:57:30
Mossy, mate, I know what you mean by Villa. being in flux but, with 5 managers in a year, we are in a permanent state of it under this owner.
11 Sep 2026 20:23:32
I agree with you Stokey. I still have no idea why Big M got rid of VP when we were going along so well.
11 Sep 2026 20:50:35
I agree about Vitor should have been given a chance, had echos of the Sean O'Driscoll sacking. Know we have Glasner who's very ambitious and I'm sure Forest to him is the stepping stones to where he thinks he should be, hopefully at the same time he will bring us success, and as for Villa, he's never lost to them, I think.?.
11 Sep 2026 21:24:53
Perfectly summed-up Mossy. I think that the uncomfortable truth is that Glasner will be gone much before the state of stability our great club needs is reached.
If he is successful - he'll be poached by one of the 'big boys' (which I sense is probably Glasner's end-goal). If he is unsuccessful - Big M will drop him like a hot potato. Either way, I see the status-quo of constant managerial changes continuing I'm afraid.
11 Sep 2026 21:49:56
Is it not an ambition for any manager or player to reach a top level in any sport? as long as they do a good job for us in the mean time. That's what we want same as a owner we wouldn't be where we are without maranakis and his many faults, but he wants Forest to be the best.
If you dont like who owns the club and the money he pours into it, do what gazzi does, go watch non league football.
11 Sep 2026 22:44:52
Of course I love the money that Big M throws into our club Skegs. However, I feel that he is wasting a load of this money through poor managerial/recruitment appointments and his own impatience to achieve success. BTW I notice he's sacked the most recent Olympiacos coach after just 7 games.
I guess Big M is a 'double-edged sword' - both the saviour and the demon of Forest at the same time.
12 Sep 2026 04:54:59
Mr Marinnakis at the moment must be spending a fortune on insurance in getting his oil tankers around the Straight of Harmuz, 200 millions on a new stadium in Greece, start to finish in 18 months!, he has a lot of clout in Greece. Now his experience with NCC who see him as a cash cow, and make him jump through hoops since 2019, hope he doesn't just call it a day with Nottingham and sells up, instead of when his tenure is over, we have a new City Ground and permanent status in the Premier.
12 Sep 2026 09:50:40
Don't think you're far off mossy, as I understand it they want him to pay for a new bridge for the supporters, But it must be wide enough for cyclists!. Well the last one cost 19mil and took 4 years to build so a new one would be around 30 plus.
12 Sep 2026 09:52:37
The money our Mr M puts into NFFC is a tiny fraction of his total wealth and he gets a lot back from it, financial and publicity wise.
It's pure speculation on your part that we wouldn't be in the Premiership without him. Who knows, a different and more sensible owner might have us as an established top 4 side, who knows ? No one can say.
My ancestors, myself and my descendants are Forest through and through and ( whilst not being blessed with our owners billions) have proportionately contributed via season tickets etc, merchandise etc.
My family were supporters before he arrived and will still be supporters when he's gone.
As for your statement that if we don't like the owner, should clear off and watch non league, well, I leave others to come to their own conclusions on that one. So, we can't criticise the owner when he makes his numerous gaffes? Or disagrees with you?
12 Sep 2026 11:15:43
In my comment stokie, it did say Mr M. with his many faults. And it's not your money he his spending trying to get us to be a top Premier league club. anyway have a great day living the glasner mr m forest dream.
12 Sep 2026 12:00:13
Where does my season ticket money go to then Skeggs? And the merch?
Have a great day too. Hope it's not raining on your Parade mate.?.
12 Sep 2026 12:13:10
Never rains on my parade stokie your season ticket money goes to the cleaning lady probably pays 1 week of her wages would you like her to thank you ??.
12 Sep 2026 12:57:10
A bit more than that over the years mate.
But your comment shows me ( and others ) 2 things about you.
Firstly you have no idea of a proper job and the wages appertaining to it and secondly about the dignity of labour.
12 Sep 2026 13:38:04
Have a listen to a great song by Deacon Blue mate called " Dignity”.
12 Sep 2026 13:45:59

10 Sep 2026 18:29:10
I haven't posted for a while but still look occasionally and tbh the site is shocking now. Completely ruined by a few posters who are either self promoting or trying very hard to portray themselves as superior to others. There's always going to be a few disagreements and arguments and that's one of the things that made the site worth looking at but once the comments were more about people's everyday life or what literature they read the football site just died.
If people had read the room it would still be ticking over nicely. Some decent, knowledgeable football fans have been ridiculed whilst others have quoted tosh to explain how a team won or lost a game of football.
10 Sep 2026 21:14:21
2tone it died ages ago as a Forest football site mate, we lost a lot of good posters over the years,
10 Sep 2026 22:53:25
Good to see you post again 2 Tone. I've been reading your posts for a long time now - well before I even became a member of this site. I've always thought that you talk a lot of sense.
There is, however, nothing wrong with people defending themselves when others take it beyond Forest banter and turn it into personal rebukes on other individuals on here.
Should those under personal attack just roll-over and accept that? I won't. (Stevie will get it from his past.).
We all love Forest. End of. Maybe now a certain person has left, things will now get back to 'normal' on here. I hope so.
10 Sep 2026 22:55:24
I really miss Creepy's posts. His post-match analyses were addictive reading.
10 Sep 2026 22:16:10
I blame thatcher and Trump ?.
11 Sep 2026 00:03:21
Good to hear from you again, 2 tone. I can't be bothered anymore either. Perhaps I'll change and post if things get back to how they were. Some posters now are just too full of themselves, nobody loves a know it all.
11 Sep 2026 09:07:08
"What does he know of cricket, who only cricket knows?” I'm sure CLR James would include football and all team sports in that.
The best way to move forward on this imo is to respectfully request our long suffering Ed to organise a poll and resolve things through good old democracy.
A simple poll. perhaps along the lines of
. " This site's posts should consist of
A. Strictly football only posts or
B Football and other posts.
Also with a seperate question
A Personal remarks should be banned
B Personal remarks should be allowed
? What do you think ?
11 Sep 2026 10:08:38
B and A.
11 Sep 2026 05:46:50
I agree 2tone, though most posters are ok there is one in particular who says things from behind the anonymity of a keyboard that he wouldn't dare says to my face.
I attend matches like he does, offered to meet him many times to straighten things out.
But he never will. The site was a laugh (yes even you skegs) ?? but not anymore. I rarely post now, one person about ruined it for everyone and we all know who it is.
11 Sep 2026 09:28:28
There is other posts stokie. That's what the discussion page is supposed to be for but isn't getting used properly. and no point having polls posters abuse the tick box just saying.
{Ed033's Note - It seems posters leave because of the Personal remarks. On the other football sites, they talk 95%+ about football.
On this site it's different however, from now on we can have rumours on the Rumour page, football related content on the Banter page, non football related content on the Discussion page.
11 Sep 2026 10:41:46
I also assume that the Eds continue to have the final say on what makes it through to print and what doesn't? Or do we need a poll on that too?
{Ed033's Note - We don't need polls. This site was built for football fans/supporters to talk about Nottingham Forest/football with other football fans/supporters. We need Eds to have the final say on what gets posted to the pages.
11 Sep 2026 10:58:51
Eds, I take it that the issue about the manipulation of polls raised by Skegs can be controlled at your end mate ie one man one vote ?
Also, as I remarked to Larry, shall we leave it to the Eds ( men of wise and mature judgment) to decide which post goes where?
{Ed033's Note - The polls are one man one vote. If someone ticks multiple boxes, then they cancel out their one vote. The polls should be seen as a rough estimate anyway.
Yes, leave it to the Eds to decide where each post goes.
11 Sep 2026 11:49:31
Wow sounds like a court sitting ??.
11 Sep 2026 12:34:09

Fair enough Ed and thank you.
I guess if things don't change on here they will stay pretty much the same ?
Thanks also for allaying Skegs concerns about the voting process.
11 Sep 2026 18:58:54
Just to clarify Sleggs.
It's " have to”'not "after” mate
And the Ed has pointed out that your comment about pollsters abusing the tick boxes is entirely wrong and inaccurate.
Just saying.?.
11 Sep 2026 20:01:32
By the way.”beaten”? I didn't even know I was in any sort of competition mate. When did we kick off? ????.
11 Sep 2026 22:10:51

11 Sep 2026 23:13:34
Red frog your post regarding DTP sounds a bit on the threatening side, please tell me I'm mistaken,
12 Sep 2026 05:16:07
Did not interact very much with DTP, but read his posts with interest, the ones before he was dragged into bickering debates, he had a opinion about Sels, Nuno and would have liked to see his opinion about Jesus, who he said would be a goal machine this season ( still time?), if the Eds banned him there's still a few agitators on here.
12 Sep 2026 05:19:11
That's the last thing you need to see, two Senior Citizens having a rumble, when they should be discussing where to get thermal underwear for the winter?.
12 Sep 2026 11:24:54
I'm afraid your memory is entirely accurate Lego. Capricorn it is. Honestly, if I had a tenner for every time my bosses put the phrase " doesn't brook fools easily " in staff appraisals I'd be as rich as our owner mate.
