I said, after we played Arsenal, that I was talking to their fans on the way back to the train station, and they were worried they would blow it cus they are Arsenal and usually do.
19 Feb 2026 06:10:43
Good on you, Stokie. Sticking by your beliefs. Nobody on here would be able to predict whether Dyche would have kept us up or not. I mean, it's not like many of them are good with their predictions anyway. I've never liked Dyche, but to swap him for a manager with an even poorer record in the Premier League at this time of the season is desperate, and it just shows how much of a mess this club's in.
Like I've said, it started with Edu. We'd have been better off getting rid of him than Dyche. Anyway, you stick with what you believe, mate, and don't worry about what the other predictors say.
19 Feb 2026 08:40:12
John Percy. Just saying, this morning Edu will be on his way out. Well, good, the sooner the better.

To be honest Bowie, my friend, I couldn't name one, they're all as bad as each other.
18 Feb 2026 20:38:56
Nico Williams or Murillo.
18 Feb 2026 20:41:53
Between Malenkavic and Williams, they've been consistent in most of the matches so far. If Sangare hadn't been away, maybe him.
18 Feb 2026 20:42:12
Have to agree, Larry. My wife and I are in a mixed marriage... We just don't waste our breath on our beliefs... Just never an issue, never was, never will be.
18 Feb 2026 20:42:21
Neco Williams so far no contest.
18 Feb 2026 20:49:46
Spot on the diamond, Williams. Gives it everything. His head's always up, looking for support. Runs till he drops. Works for the badge.
18 Feb 2026 23:19:50
Neco could be good taking corners?
19 Feb 2026 06:11:20
Been saying Neco all season. Best player by a mile.
19 Feb 2026 14:54:23
Neco Williams by a mile.

If he plays that team, we may as well not get off the plane.
18 Feb 2026 15:04:36
Just another in the long line of Munmad fantasy teams that are never right, Stevie. ? Full strength side & make em have it, I say.
18 Feb 2026 15:52:47
Larry could be our last European tie for a long time. I think we should go for it. We've already binned the FA Cup and the League Cup. If the club just exists for a Premier League relegation battle every season, what's the point?
18 Feb 2026 16:05:15
100 percent put your best team out and go for the win. Which we should do every game now till the end of our season.
18 Feb 2026 17:00:23
Which is more important then Thursday or Sunday Larry the Ram smartarse
18 Feb 2026 17:21:53
Munmad, they are both equally important. Winning momentum is everything, and a heavy defeat in Istanbul with a weakened team would be a devastating start to the new manager's reign, and put massive pressure on him immediately.
18 Feb 2026 18:13:14
Think we have a coach now that will play the games and do less training. I seem to remember that being a winning formula back in the day. Players just want to play football today.
Training is part of that, but you can make it hard and tedious like Dyche did. You learn more and get sharper by playing games, just play them and rest, they don't need anything more.
18 Feb 2026 18:17:19
I can't see VP going to his old club and playing the bomb squad, he'll want to win not just for personal pride but because he knows how Big Mr M ticks. ?
18 Feb 2026 22:31:10
Tomorrow's game is a Champions League qualifier. We need to play to win it.
19 Feb 2026 04:03:46
There you go Munmad, the lads have answered your question for me & they didn't need the unnecessary insult to do it. Lift the Europa Cup, and you're in the Champions League. This idea that a player can't play 2 games a week is absolute nonsense. Didn't Robbo play 72 in one season?
19 Feb 2026 06:00:52
Let's hope they don't "miss on purpose", eh? Mr Barraclough? ???
19 Feb 2026 06:13:29
They all definitely need to show up. Especially the big 5. I want to see 110 percent from the players tonight, win, lose, or draw. Nothing else will do.
19 Feb 2026 08:54:48

Some of the nonsense on here.
"The players trying to get the manager the sack. " or whatever the accusation is.
The players were invited (they didn't go of their own accord) to the owner to be questioned about what is going on and how the players feel.
What do fans think the players were supposed to do?
1. Refuse to do what the owner asked and not go?
2. Lie to the owner and say Dyche is doing a great job and we are all happy with him?
3. Answer the question the owner asked honestly?
Do we need a poll on this one too? ?.

I'm not voting!!! It messed my phone up lol.
17 Feb 2026 21:00:04
Well, let's see if the players manage to start putting in a 100 percent shift. Shame a manager can't be called upon to get rid of a player and swap for another player, but they know they get to go to a transfer window.
I wanted Dyche out, but what the players and owner have done makes this club look stupid and just another joke, where we're concerned as a club.
17 Feb 2026 22:17:19
You might actually see the players playing with a smile on their faces again. Enjoying proper training sessions, where more emphasis is on skills and team building, instead of running like headless chickens cus it makes them fitter.
18 Feb 2026 06:17:42
Those Nokia 105s don't handle it very well, Roger, but what do you expect for 13.50 pounds, mate. ??
18 Feb 2026 10:16:15
As none of us has watched a Dyche training session, the "headless chicken" scenario is probably another myth. The old days of running around the track around the pitch, and fitness tests involving running up and down the stands, are long gone. These sessions will be scientifically monitored and supervised, with stats recorded and assessed.
As a result of this advice, thus obtained, the manager will come to a conclusion as to fitness levels, which Dyche did. It was within his remit, and he had no pre-season. We are not talking "Full Metal Jacket" here, folks. That is probably an extra few per cent in performance levels and bespoke individual regimes.
18 Feb 2026 10:31:32
It's like a thorn in your side, Stokie. He's gone, just let it go. Move on. You made a prediction about Dyche & got it wrong, it happens. Even I got something wrong once. I remember it well 1955 I said my mum would give Mr Rusks for dinner & I got Ready Break. ??
18 Feb 2026 11:48:49
You mean porridge, Larry. That's why you became a prison officer. ??

18 Feb 2026 13:49:47
It's actually a Samsung, Mr Barraclough. ???
18 Feb 2026 14:50:58
Larry, I made no such prediction. I expressed an opinion which may well prove to be right. I hope not, but we will see in May, won't we? ?
18 Feb 2026 18:24:42
End of the day, we were going down under Dyche, so we'll see what happens now. I've said many times that Dyche should never have been anywhere near our club, and for how it's panned out. I pointed Vitor out way before Dyche got sacked because it made sense. He's worked with Marinakis and won the double, so he knows who he's working for and what's expected.
He took Wolves away from relegation at a canter, but they sold his prize assets in the second season. The players needed to get away from Dyche's 80s style of management. It doesn't work anymore.
18 Feb 2026 22:38:44
I wish I'd screen-shotted it. Stokey said not that long ago that Dyche would keep us up and do well, and we'll see; he is right about it. Slightly different to anything about the result of Dyche being sacked, which can only have been made if he was already wrong about Dyche.
Definitely time to let this one go, mate. He was rubbish. The players', owners' and fans' ambitions are way higher than the dross he was serving up.
19 Feb 2026 11:50:23
"End of the day, we were going down under Dyche"... We will never know, but it wasn't what the stats were saying. Our record under him would have taken us to comfortable mid table. I've said this many times, but don't let the facts confuse you once your mind is made up, eh, Dtp.
17 Feb 2026 16:22:25
We now need to realise that staying up is our key aim.
Continuing to move forward in Europe is purely secondary, and a great chance for some squad players to get experience.
If Mr. M sees it differently than we may well see us drop further down the table, and ultimately out of it altogether.
Some players will fight and give all for us, and some will have their eyes on transfers as a way of getting out of the mire.
I wish Pereira well but hope for consistency - he won't change the tactics much, but even the players looking for transfers need to show some confidence in their own abilities, otherwise no-one will be interested in them.
It will all play out over the next twelve or so games and I dearly hope we stay up.

17 Feb 2026 18:27:18
People are mistaking agents doing their jobs for players wanting out. Every player will want to stay up and wouldn't want relegation on their CV. It's also the job of an agent to prepare for whatever happens at the end of the season. That means agents have a plan for every scenario, one of which is relegation. They also have to plan for a club who might sell their player to raise funds, regardless of what division they are in.
There is a very good chance Forest will want to sell at least one of their best players to raise money for transfers, even if they are still in the Prem. If Forest win the Europa League, then there will be even bigger changes to the squad, as we'll be a Champions League club. Agents will put out feelers for any of those scenarios.
17 Feb 2026 18:52:46
Man City wanting MGW? Hasn't Pep tried that trick before? More chance of finding Lord Lucan than City following through. Mind you, I'll be glad to see the back of him.
17 Feb 2026 20:56:10
There's only one player that's worth any money this season, that's Neco. Only one has been consistent all year, the rest can be sold.
17 Feb 2026 20:57:07
Absolutely, Cyclist.
17 Feb 2026 21:36:31
Well, I would say Edu started planning for a season in the Championship with the players he bought in.
17 Feb 2026 21:50:56
Don't worry, Arsenal want Hutchinson.
17 Feb 2026 21:57:56
They can have him. Do you believe everything they say in the media? Apparently, Man City want MGW. That's the best joke I've heard for a long time.
17 Feb 2026 22:01:59
Seems like you do?
17 Feb 2026 12:32:46
Oh Gazzibaldi, that brings back memories of a very early start for me. Forest at Coventry, a point to take the title!
I was sadly in a place called Belize at the time, serving in HM Army - it's a small country in Central America.
I was in the radio shack listening for scores, they sent the final score through on a videoprinter!

17 Feb 2026 09:36:45
I mentioned last week that Ryan Yates had talked openly having access to Marinakis. Well remember when Roy Keane walked as he cited interference, then O'Neil was sacked. Players had complained about the torrid pre season training regime and we hadn't even kicked a ball in earnest. O'Neil had won last 3 games of the previous season and was looking to strengthen the squad. Apparently a posse had gone direct to Marinakis. 2 excellent managers with Forest in their hearts and blood abd they are knifes then disposed of.
Disgusting and it sours what Forest are all about, a legacy installed by Cloughie. I listened to 10 seconds of the new nanagers intro and I turned it off. " we must look to create team spirit right from the players to the tea ladies. " Yeah right how does that work when zpearce, O'Neil and Dyche said just that. I don't trust these players nor Marinakis.

Overpaid mardy snakes in the grass, Rutters. All the snakes will move on & the end of the season anyway. Re-watching the game, a big majority of those 35 shots were missed on purpose, no doubt, especially Cho.
17 Feb 2026 10:50:16
Weird, I watched it also and thought, "Blaa Blaa." Watch your back, Vitor, you will be undermined if you tread on the wrong toes.
17 Feb 2026 10:57:41
These players will be gone in the summer, the Championship or not. They have no loyalty where money is concerned, like most of us. So why would an owner listen to them? They are there to do a job.
That is what they get paid for: to do the best they can for the coach, to make it work, not spit your dummy out because you cannot do it that way for 50000 a week.
17 Feb 2026 12:18:18
I see the optimism is still shining through, gents. ? ?
17 Feb 2026 12:47:21
Yes, fully behind my club. Started in the sixties, ups and downs everywhere, wonderful players and a few donkeys, that side has not changed, but the running of a club, well, money talks and playing for the club I want loads of money. I would give my right kidney to run out and score at the City Ground.
17 Feb 2026 13:10:48
Have to laugh when players' loyalties are being questioned. In present-day football, in fact football since the Sky era, there is no loyalty at all. Only one thing matters: money!
17 Feb 2026 14:45:25
Job #1 for the new management. Sort out the captaincy situation. Personally, I'd give it to Neco Williams or Milenkovic. There can't surely be another manager that accepts the captain coming on with 10 mins to go.
17 Feb 2026 16:17:52
Job 2, tell them all there's no way you're being sold on unless we stay up. ? ? ?
17 Feb 2026 16:28:49
Job no.3, sort out the Edu situation.
17 Feb 2026 17:25:14
Edu should have gone with Dyche.
17 Feb 2026 17:56:03
Honestly, you couldn't make some of this stuff up. Players accused of missing shots on purpose now, and I'm still chuckling about that.
17 Feb 2026 18:26:04
Ha ha, maybe they all put a tenner on a 0-0.
17 Feb 2026 20:48:38
Winter, there's a stark difference between optimism and misplaced optimism.
17 Feb 2026 21:44:33
Well, I never feel more like singing the blues when I look on here and see the sad views. Miserable bunch.
17 Feb 2026 09:33:06
What do you guys think to VP then?
Having just watched his first interview, I must say, I'm very impressed with how he came across.
If I was a footballer, I epukd definitely have broken into a sweat and tried for Nuno.
Would have put very little effort in for Dyche.
But with VP, I'd give it my all again.
I just hope the players feel the same.
I know we don't know what goes on behind closed doors, but we can only go on what we see and hear.

Seems like a genuine down-to-earth guy. Honestly, I liked what he did at Wolves last season, and if they hadn't sold their best players, I would imagine he'd still be there. He plays decent football, and until after 5 or 6 games this season still had a really good relationship with the Wolves supporters.
I think Mr M will regret not going straight after him when Nuno pressed the self-destruction button. ?
17 Feb 2026 17:57:25
Yes, agreed. Comes across as a decent and enthusiastic guy. All the best, Vitor. Sort it out, and you will be a Forest favourite!

Yeah, Coventry v Boro was a great game in the most competitive league in the world. Exciting, and it goes down to the last day every year. Oh, to be in a league you can actually win.
The sooner that European Super League comes in, the better. Get rid of Manchester City, etc., and we might compete. Just as a footnote, we should have given Lampard a shot when Dyche was sacked.
