If we get a point back Burnley are as good as gone if we get 2 back we will be 5 in front of Luton with 2 games to play if we mess this up from here we deserve to go down simple as.

1point out of our last 2 games effectively relegates Burnley, and leaves Luton needing to win their last 2 games,

Burnley already down for me, haven't won two games on trot all season
West hams loss today leaves a worry
Only luton are the danger, the gial difference is significant though and makes them four points behind us.

Just a few thoughts.
Firstly, as I said before the game, Yates should always start. Every dazzling architect needs a hod carrier before he can create a beautiful building. The skipper got through a load of work to steady the ship when we were under the cosh first half. His goal was just the icing on the cake, but set the tone for the second half recovery Energy, enthusiasm and work rate first class. reminded me of Walt Whitmans poem
"O Captain! My Captain! Our fearful trip is done,
The ship has weathered every rack, the prize we sought is won,
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exalting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring "
Secondly, Sels, Murillo, Boly and, of course CHO immense. I said it wouldn't be easy. Having had to sit amongst the Blades fans I can tell you they hate us with a passion!
Thirdly, great to see Taiwo get a run out especially as Woody seems to have hit the buffers recently.
Likewise, Dominquez did well in a cameo
Lastly, it was a vital result but the danger is not over. Lutons opponents West Ham look a bit flakey and Spurs likewise. Whereas I was hoping Chelsea would be "on the beach " but they are on fire atm with Europa League in sight. I still think it will be decided next weekend before we kick off, though our goal difference advantage will come into play.
It seems as though the Appeal panel will be delaying their decision until a point when it becomes irrelevant therefore avoiding the embarrassment of a team of lawyers relegating a club rather than their results.
But we are now on the front foot and I'm confident we will survive.

As always Stokey however I think the hod carriers architect must do much better. At the moment he's just about garden shed design standard.

Ironically, you must have seen 'Dead Poets Society' Balloons, and you could 'seize the day'! If you didn't see the film, Stokey might need to explain.

I might be ex-Intelligence Corps Norfolk, but I must admit I find it hard at times to keep up with both your and Stokey's posts! Keep it up gents - I'm sure it must be helping my mental dexterity in my mid-50's when I need it more than ever.

Forest ARE taking legal action over that numpty Neville. Good.

Agree2 0Disagree

05 May 2024 17:16:51
I find that a tad pointless. It's not going to make a difference on the League positions. Neville is an idiot but he's entitled to his opinion.

05 May 2024 17:22:27
His comments, with mention of words like “mafia” were, from a libellous or defamation point of view, ill advised. Might cost him a few bob in the long run. Probably settle out of court….

It's just words from one person against a football club, we need to get a grip and get over it. I said before stop treating our club like a circus and just concentrate on the football. I've read worse on here, Legless, Munmad amongst others took some rather serious stick the other week regards the army but they don't threaten to sue. Argue, disagree move on everybody's entitled to an opinion whether you think it's harsh, right or wrong. Since we been back in the prem it's done my head to be honest, VAR, refs, overpaid divers, cheaters and moaners. But if I don't like it I stop supporting which I won't do so have a moan and move on. It's time the people inside Forest put their big boy pants on.

05 May 2024 21:08:53
I couldn't agree with you more CIG. Whilst I think his comments did cross the mark - so what? IMO Forest as a club have also crossed the mark with the accusation of bias from match officials against us coupled with the implication of corruption in the PL. Whether this is right or wrong, we as a club have shown no decorum nor dignity in the way we have raised these issues. I have read some on here comment that they 'don't care' about our behaviour as a club in this regard. Personally, I do. It belittles our great history as a club and makes us a laughing-stock. Nobody likes a whinger. Whilst I agree Forest have been hard done-by this season and we are right to bring this issue up it reminds me of the song by the Fun Boy Three - "It ain't what you do it's the way that you do it, and that's what gets results. "

Well, just as you thought the Chelsea game might be winnable. they're walloping West Ham 5-0 at the moment. Could be the 'Derby' factor I guess with bout being London clubs. but, this has now got me really concerned. It looks like it'll be down to the last bleddy game. it good.

More concerning is West Hams form as Luton play them next.
If West Ham win, it won't matter what we do against Chelsea.

Agree0 0Disagree

05 May 2024 16:23:31
Yes, but West Ham will need to repay their fans after getting hammered, so hopefully they’ll come out firing against Luton. And Chelsea have hit form true, but if we play like we did against City, we may get a point. And if West Ham have already beat Luton, (especially if Burnley have lost too) then it’s almost a free hit. And if we get a point or two back…. It’s all ifs, buts and maybes!

If you go back to when we played and beat the Hammers 2-0 at home they had just off the back of a 6-0 thrashing against Arsenal. West Ham were terrible against us so hopefully they will be in reverse form vs Luton.

Great result yesterday, really happy. I managed to watch the whole game on Sky Game of the Day. Some honest observations:
Wood played possibly his worst game for Forest, he didn't hold one ball up, couldn't lay a ball off, was beaten to the ball every time and missed 4 good chances. He's scored some vital goals and I'm all for keeping him in the squad but if he goes there's a lot better and quicker strikers around on less money.
Danilo couldn't stay on his feet and kept trying to roll his foot over the ball when it wasn't on. On one occasion he got wiped out and it wasn't a foul we just lost possession again.
Elanga had a strange game, couldn't really get into it and wasted opportunities.
Murrillo and Sels were superhuman. One save from Harmer was incredible - we should sign Harmer when they go down or swap him for Danilo + money. Dangerous player who can shoot. Get him in.

Good win yesterday and I freely admit I thought we wouldn’t. CHO was absolutely superb, this kid can really play and was probably the difference between the two sides.

But the true problems come this summer. Do we have to sell for FFP? Surely Nuno can’t keep his job? And hopefully we haven’t got 20 players arriving. Naturally, a lot will depend upon which division we are in.

We need to get rid of deadwood like Origi and Sangare, the Greek keeper and other bench warmers. Keep it tight with just one or two decent signings and we should have a decent team under a proper manager. And we have a couple of good young players that could well make the step up to the first team squad.

Skegs- a large slice of humble pie will be on the menu, son if we stay up at the end of the season- because to be brutally honest I thought we were well and truly buried. We now have hope 👍.

Hi frog, good post mate, what happens next? We don’t have a team so we’re going to have no choice but to sign a load of cheap players. I think the following will stay who can do a job:

Sels
Aina
Toffolo - at least he tries
Worrral - I’d bring him back - no worse than who we have outside of boly and Murillo
Boly
Yates - can do a job
Danilo
CHO
O’Brien - worth another go?
TAIWO - will stay but he can go for me, it’s pointless him being here
Wood may sign again.
MGW and Murillo will balance the books.

The rest can all go for me, no where near good enough, we simply don’t have a team and it’s worse if we go down.

All of this started when we went up without a team, the cycle of never building a team had carried on and that’s our problem, we just start again every season and I’m not sure how we get out of it?

Good post 2stars mate. Now we have sold Mangala and Brennan in the last window then I hope it’s only Murillo that has to be sold. He’s a great player and will go on to have a stellar career. You’re right though the squad has too many players just not quite good enough. Love Awoniyi- we look a real threat with him playing but he’s just so brittle injury wise.

Agree2 0Disagree

05 May 2024 15:42:33
Don't change the coach and don't sign a load of crap look at the squad and strengthen only were needed given Nuno a close season with the squad we have.

05 May 2024 15:44:19
I love taiwo pal but we just can’t afford to carry someone who can only manage 30% of the season.

Agree2 0Disagree

05 May 2024 07:40:24
Moving on and not counting chickens. A goal scoring centre forward and a goal keeper surely specialised positions. Last season we were at undoubtedly saved from relegation by Tiawo and Navas. This is why we have struggled this season from the off. Woods has been injured but has done his best but appears past his prime and likely heading out of the club at the end of the season. Tiawo for some reason has been plagued by injuries.
Both Calvert Lewin ( Everton ) and Adebayo ( Luton ) are both key players. Take them out and the clubs struggled. If Adebayo had been fit instead of injured since February, where could Luton be now. So thinking next season we can assume we will not have Tiawo all season. This is hazard for all clubs even Man City and Harland. Sels seems to have secured the goal keepers position, so we need a Tiawo Mk 2 if we are going to be a better side next season.

Think wood has another year well worth another year in my opinion his form has dipped as of late but still got the intelligence to be in the right place at the right time.

Dyche has done a hell of job at Everton managing his way through a lot of crap - can’t believe how disrespectful Everton fans are towards him.

Football has annoyed me greatly this season and not just because of our situation. However the Birmingham situation served up yesterday, could only happen in football.

Blackburn looked most likely to go needing to win at festa, somehow the manager who had Bham sat in 6th yet displaced for Rooney masterminds a win at festa and plays a very big part in sending his previous paymaster to league one! A classic football story.

Unfortunately, or fortunately i walked in and got the stick up and running as we scored,
Tell ya this reds, keep your f kn moans going. Do ya ever give up.
For me today wasn't all about the 3 point's as i don't give two flyings about the premier, i know i know repetitive.
What i do care about is the people from 6 month to a hundred and odd yr old that actually care about this magnificent club.
That's what we cheer for, not overpaid **** ers. The hardships and truth. The togetherness. 👏
And bye for me seeing them away supporters so happy, brought the old lump to the throat.
Cmon you lot if ever anyone deserved success it's them lot.
You can punish all ya want on the pitch. With your bent decisions.
But ya can't rip the hearts from the faithful.
SO PROUD OF YOU AWAY FANS, AND WFCG.
Luv ya all. ❤ that's what football means to me. along with the obvious football, but hey maybe one day we will get there again bless xx.

That a pi#$ take 3star?
Ok on the game.
The blunts really are the worst ever in premier for me.
Could have been 4/ 5 1 up halftime.
Murillo i tell ya, i can see marvel comics snapping this young man up.
What a f kn hero. Along with sels. So pleased the lad could stamp his authority on the number 1 shirt.
Still not happy with his distribution but only a small moan, every little helps dink dink.
Wood son, what's going on. I believe in ya. You've really hit the wall.
Brilliant ball from mgw full stop.
Times we had chances to put crosses in. Don't get me wrong, blunts that bad danillo looked like Maradonna instead of maddona. Boly just simply Brilliant for us as i mentioned to chim last week. Did we miss Williams not for me. Brilliant for yates to get his premier goal, wtf was he playing at trying to dive and get it ruled out. Only top 10 get away with them ones. To sum up as froggy said earlier, scoreline doesn't really speak for itself, but two rubbish teams, and we got the better. COYR.

Forest and Sheffield utd hate each other, they’d have been desperate to ruin our day, being there yesterday in the sunshine watching us win would have been very enjoyable for our fans who had a little to shout about this season.
