See Nuno is up and running at Weat Ham, good win for them. Winning at home is the key, something we seem unable to do in the league. Despite what some people like Skegsgay believe I think, Nuno was a good manager and it’s a shame he couldn’t get on with Edu and ultimately Big M. I hope it doesn’t cost us our premier league status.

You need spec savers redfrog for some reading glasses???.

02 Nov 2025 20:08:34
I think dyche will keep us up redfrog. but I wasn't hoping for a relegation battle this season I was looking forward to one of the best seasons in decades but that went out of the window with nuno.

he should of been backed when asked for it at least he's in a job now where there's no edu getting involved he will do well at West ham.

02 Nov 2025 20:44:51
He's got far worse in sullivan and Brady skeggs.

02 Nov 2025 21:16:20
We will see at the end of the season dtp.

02 Nov 2025 21:41:24
Have to agree DTP.

03 Nov 2025 03:20:28
Wonder if there was a knowing look between Nuno and Elanga of what could of been?, one thing for sure makes three points against Leeds a must.

02 Nov 2025 18:33:19
My son was at the game and I asked him (he’s a Spurs supporter) what thought of Forest and he replied that he thought Yates, CHO and MGW were “class.
We have top players but can’t make it count: Nuno has one or two class players and beats Newcastle?

Agree2 Disagree0

02 Nov 2025 18:39:10
Newcastle more interested in champions league Wednesday bsred, the line up told that and they seemed to think all they had to do was turn up for three points.

02 Nov 2025 20:46:07
My son (30 years old) is a lifelong Man U supporter. I asked him today what he thought after watching the whole game. He said that he thought that Forest actually outplayed United for a lot of the match.

Aren't perceptions strange? I didn't see it that way at all. It's always good to get the views of our opposition's supporters though. He also said that we looked way too good to face relegation. I agreed with him on that point!

03 Nov 2025 20:05:22
Bad upbringing lego ???.

03 Nov 2025 22:41:27
I'm sorry DTP. I failed him as a father with regards to football!

I have to say though in all seriousness, maybe us old-timers missed a trick in not embracing the advances of technology. My 30 year old son is now paid circa £60K pa for sitting at home all day in his pyjamas trying, as an 'ethical hacker', to break into his clients' websites. His house is like the deck of the Starship Enterprise - PCs and monitors everywhere you look.

All very different to what we're used to Reds. Each to their own I suppose. He's happy though and I'm proud of him.

02 Nov 2025 18:06:34
For what it's worth, Sturm Graz lost 2 1 away at Rapid Vienna a short while ago after leading one nil at HT. SG were too of the table before kick off.

03 Nov 2025 14:42:49
Look at the rest of their results this season. They are not to be sniffed at.

03 Nov 2025 20:05:49
Poor league.

02 Nov 2025 16:35:01
Nuno working his magic got his lads above us now. he will keep them safe.

Agree3 Disagree1

02 Nov 2025 16:55:11
. And so will Dyche mate.

02 Nov 2025 16:57:16
28 games to go: anything can happen!

02 Nov 2025 17:54:36
Watched west ham fair play to them as they deserved to win, felt sorry for the Georgia fans travelling though as Newcastle looked totally disinterested in the game with their focus of champions league Wednesday, they played at walking pace.

02 Nov 2025 18:02:22
Good on our owner for offering to help those in the stabbings well done ?.

02 Nov 2025 18:25:07
Yes mate, just read that.

02 Nov 2025 15:02:29

Subs Victor Gibbs White Anderson Ndoye Hudson Odoi Milenkovic Murrilo Jesus Abbott.

Agree2 Disagree3

02 Nov 2025 16:08:00
Don't think Awonyi is in the squad.

02 Nov 2025 17:03:29
Neither is cunha
Need to rest savone and Williams or if one gets injured we will be screwed for full backs.

02 Nov 2025 18:46:25
I'm hoping he goes
Victor
Dominguez
Abbott
Morata
Ndoye
Sangare
Yates
Mcatee
CHO
Kalimuendo.

02 Nov 2025 19:02:12
And jesus.

02 Nov 2025 23:07:05
Apparently, Awoniyi replaced Aina in the Europa squad so he could play.

03 Nov 2025 07:54:06
I thought zinchenko replaced Aina?

03 Nov 2025 17:44:22
That's what I thought. Someone told me he was added yesterday, but I can't find anything online to confirm it so they might be wrong.

03 Nov 2025 20:09:54
From the rules it has to be a long term injury during this stage such as a hamstring for ten weeks or so unless zinchenko or luiz are out for the rest of this stage i doubt anything can happen.

04 Nov 2025 07:22:20
Replaced Zinch due to injury?

02 Nov 2025 13:27:44
Ooops, sausage fingers again. To continue
Firstly, what happened to the old custom ( it was never an enshrined law, just common sense) that, if in doubt, award the decision to the defending team. After all, a refused corner is far less likely to affect the outcome of a game than a goal scored from a wrongly allowed corner
As the great American Supreme Court judge Oliver Wendell Holmes Jnr said "The life of a law doesn't exist through logic but because of experience "
Secondly, the laws surrounding VAR use in football are far too prescriptive.

In Rugby Union and League the TMO can be called upon by an on field ref or on their own initiative to review decisions involving major events like try's and serious foul play ( even going back several phases).
The football authorities clearly prioritise keeping the game going even if catastrophically wrong decisions and injustices are allowed to stand.

02 Nov 2025 13:19:01
A couple of points.
If that's "Dyche ball, " bring it on! Very entertaining and a thrilling game. Mind you, Man Utd will generally not look to stifle the opposition and will give you room to counter attack. It's always been their tradition.

Like Porto when we also thrived. I don't know owt about Sturm Graz but I think Leeds will be much more conservative and difficult to break down.
So two wrong ref decisions have ( ok indirectly) cost us 2 goals. I make 2 comments Fu.

02 Nov 2025 17:36:19
Pleasantly suprised with the game yesterday and glad Dyche played to the squads strength
Only down side for me was sels flapping at corners again
The second was a great strike, but that came from sels palming a ball back into his own box and then a poor header out from milenkovic
We've got to defend corners better.

02 Nov 2025 11:46:11
Peps got in touch with Andrew what's it like to have your Titles taken away ??.

Agree3 Disagree1

02 Nov 2025 09:22:27
Does anyone else think CHO should play through the middle more often? He looked lethal pushing at the defence when given the opportunity driving more centrally? Would also give him more opportunity to score in both corners.

Agree2 Disagree0

02 Nov 2025 10:48:50
Possibly, but i noticed yesterday that he went to his left i. e. the byline and put in a superb cross which jesus almost scored from, if he did that more often defenders would have to stop standing on his right foot expecting him to cut inside and shoot.

02 Nov 2025 11:12:02
That wouldn't be a bad idea.

02 Nov 2025 11:22:31
He looked a lot happier there. I have a question for you fellow posters, do you think we would be in our present prodicement if we weren't in Europe?. I believe we wouldn't, and the facts do show this would be true. It was well documented on this site at the beginning of last season that mid table was a good target. well we punched above our weight and look what we got. A large influex of new players, at an enormous cost, and I think has unbalanced our tight knit squad.

then you have the two tier squads (uefa rules) those players who didn't make the euro squad must have been well p. ed off. Things like that divide players. Nuno wouldn't have left and we would be sitting in or around mid table now. i think we were two seasons early for Europe, it will be interesting to see how Bournemouth fare if they qualify next season. Personally I don't think we will be relegated but we must keep Anderson until the end of the season. keep the faith.

02 Nov 2025 11:52:08
Red Vale the foreshadowing of a team like Villa who tried to compete to soon with the "chosen ones", like ourselves are now finding it tough trying to keep so many balls in the air at the same time ??.

02 Nov 2025 13:13:34
Oakham, Mossy, Vale and Syd et al these are all excellent and perceptive posts. CHO looked good in a flexible role. The skill is to read the game and decide when to do something different ( and make sure you are not leaving a gap behind you)

02 Nov 2025 08:49:43
Anderson for me in the second half eclipsed everyone on the pitch, it was the best I had ever seen him play. He was superb. Money will pour in to try to sign him come January. At the moment he is a big fish in a small pool (Forest).

The club cannot stifle his inevitable progress, however with him in this form he will
pull the whole team up. With him I think we will be mid table by January. This is a future England Captain.

02 Nov 2025 11:16:37
Great to see a better result and performance! Sorry folks I cannot escape cynicism and suspicion about players. I have tried hard to not post this:
Seems like some very good players choose their opposition to have a stormer of game against! No names but compare B'th and Utd yesterday? Coincidence? Great management? Happens a lot this- unless I'm dreaming it.

A bit more exposure! The right people to impress are watching?
Can't be sure, footballers have great integrity I'm told? Anyway, onwards reds!

02 Nov 2025 12:17:31
If he doesn't go in January he will go in the summer. I think he will go in January.

02 Nov 2025 12:56:33
I do too Silk, he’s going to have to be sold to keep within the rules now that we’ve spent big on some absolute garbage. He’d have gone anyway but we will have no choice but to sell him to balance the books. This has to be one of the most damaging transfer windows we’ve ever had.

02 Nov 2025 13:36:42
And Edu can waste the profit on average at best replacements.

02 Nov 2025 15:18:40
Interested to know if the toon have a buyback clause. ?.

02 Nov 2025 21:06:46
We nearly always do better against the big teams and struggle when we are expected to win. It's the Forest way.

Liverpool FC As Of October 2025

{Ed's Note - Pompey Rouge has posted a new article entitled, Liverpool FC As Of October 2025

02 Nov 2025 03:55:30
Good result in the end although quite e few posters predicted the 2-1, it's looking like we won't get more than 2-3 games in a row with Luiz?, but when Yates came on he put in a Captain's performance. If only Milenovic and Murillo could get that telepathy back that made them the best central defence in the Premier last season, ! being near the bottom of the table has a magnet effect keeping you down there, so important to get some wins, hate the season to be defined by another relagation battle ?.

Agree2 Disagree0

02 Nov 2025 07:05:51
We need to learn how to defend corners. If anything sends us down it will be that.

02 Nov 2025 10:13:31
Or how to defend 2 goal kicks?.

01 Nov 2025 23:23:46
Can someone explain the point in VAR?
In the build up to a goal, if there's a foul, handball, offside or any other infringement its disallowed. Although in the build up to a goal scored from a set play its never corrected if it should have been a set play at all?
The handball from Amed cleared when it was blatant.
Then you see the Wolves red card, the attacking player clearly uses his arm before he's fouled, VAR checks and clears it.

Back to us, well earned point against a side in good form. If the ref and his team weren't bent it would have been three points. ?.

02 Nov 2025 00:21:18
For sky to manipulate the premier league table.

02 Nov 2025 05:50:27
If the handball was in the opposite box on Saturday it would've been given, Robin. On that you can bet on. Referee's have got worse since VAR came in. VAR should be used for goals like Man Utd and Bournemouth scored against us but we need to defend set pieces better. Another 2 goals conceded. Not good enough.

02 Nov 2025 06:29:38
Simple mate, they know nothing about football.

02 Nov 2025 08:44:54
Fully agree the referees have got worse and lazy since VAR they are making guesses, give what you see not what you want to see if you not sure play on! Simples then VAR can rectify any doubts but these lazy ref's are going to ruin a great game ?.

02 Nov 2025 14:24:28
Going back to the Wolves red card, did that cost a manager his job?
Definitely contributed imo. ?.

02 Nov 2025 15:27:19
I don't think it was just a red card that cost him his job.
