Appeal dismissed, suprise suprise, never going to go our way once we beat Sheffield, we would be safe then with those points back, Everton safe so really no punishment for them, if we get safe ourselves then docking points is a waste of time, i recon a better way to punish a team is a money fine amount depending on the clubs resources, bet Luton and Burnley are smiling, ony way is to get something from Chelsea or Burnley or well be ok if L and B drop any points.

Just a quick general observation before bed here which has been on my mind for a while. With all the time and money invested in professional players' development in the modern game - surely players can be coached and become proficient at kicking a ball equally well with both feet nowadays?! CHO springs to mind along with others.

Well their you have it, no points back. They could have been more vindictive, so I am glad of there generosity. How wonderful it is that we hAve such an fair unbiased group on the committee who play it straight down the middle. Skin really to football's highest authority in Switzerland, and look what happened to them.
But if we infringed the rules, we asked for punishment, like all the other clubs who have not yet been disclosed, (ooops should not have said that), what the hell.

Surely the vast majority of posters on here appreciate Bowie for the sheer honesty and passion he shows without worrying too much about the spelling? I know I do!
Anyway, as Melvyn Bragg once said English is such a tart of a language it evolves constantly, nicks the best bits of other languages and is not too fussy about spelling and punctuation. Have a look at Jack Kerouac s “On the Road” written at breakneck speed fuelled by Benzadrine and whiskey. Still a classic! Words also change in meaning so “nice” nowadays means pleasant but 200 years ago it meant pernickety or fussy.
Anyway, Bowie mate ask your lovely lady how she spells “colour” “or color “ as an American. It’s different but who cares we all understand. Or “through “ to us means to pass through something but when an American says “it’s through “ it means it over.
As I've said before Old English is largely meaningless to us when you first read it but eventually you understand it. Read aloud it sounds distinctly Geordie so you keep posting mate. Your spelling could be the correct one in 5, 10, 100 or 500 years, who knows. Your name might appear in the Oxford English Dictionary as the original inventor of a word mate! 👍👍👏🏻👏🏻.
