We need to make this transfer window count. Edu McAtee Zinchenko Taiwo Ndoye Morata OUT and a quality striker IN
Playing Zinchenko McAtee and Morata on the same side is like playing with 8 men. I despise Edu for what he has done, what should have been one of the best seasons in this clubs history is fast turning into a complete farce.

Yeh probably a lot more than 5 Larry mate but seriously those summer signings look awful.

Please note non League Macclesfield beat Crystal Palace. Oh dear! on the logic of members on this site he destined to be sacked!
10 Jan 2026 14:57:18
Please note, Glasner has credit in the bank, whereas Dyche doesn't. š³.
10 Jan 2026 15:06:02
Nono I don't care about palace or anyone else that gets knocked out of tge cup it doesn't disguise the fact we played shite and have been playing shite for months simples.
10 Jan 2026 15:29:36
The last thing we need is any more of your suggestions stokie. Your still drooling over the appointment if Dyche and look where that's got us.
10 Jan 2026 15:48:52
Oh dear, Red Robin, Skeggs and Larry Balloons ( by the way welcome back my dear old thing), Glasner has 2 years ācreditā in the bank because thatās how long heās had to shape the team ( or to put it another simpler way, thatās 4 transfer windows to acquire the players he wants and 2 pre seasons to coach them into his way of playing and develop them).
Dyche has been here less than 3 months and this January is his first window, obviously no pre season.
Still, letās not let the facts get in the way of a good old whinge eh? ā¦ā¦. šš.
10 Jan 2026 16:23:22
Keep banging the drum for Dyche stokie and i will keep saying we are going nowhere under him. Let's see who is proven right. Simple.
10 Jan 2026 16:31:14
Well said Stokie.
10 Jan 2026 16:35:02
Huh? So taking all the laughing emojis out of the conversation you actually agree we me? Yes success brings you credit and yes success and Dyche are two words that will never belong together. š³.
10 Jan 2026 16:38:34
Dyche has no day in transfers though stokey
Thought you would of realised that by now
Hes the coach nothing else.
10 Jan 2026 16:45:22
I think your forgetting one massive thing stokie dyche is a coach he will get what players edu decides to give him he won't get is own players remember that's why nuno left I have more chance of getting 6 numbers on the lottery tonight than dyche ever doing any good with us.
10 Jan 2026 17:44:57
Theyāre not laughing emojis Red Robin, you should go to Specsavers my friend. This is what a laughing emoji looks like š
As you say, we will sit down at the end of the season, talk about it, then decide I was right!
10 Jan 2026 18:50:21
Yeah fair play, funnily enough i wasn't wearing my glasses š¤£.
Never wrong ayy, superiority complex?, clearly you can't debate with people having differing views to your own. Typical copper. š³.
10 Jan 2026 22:13:11
Talk about good cop, bad cop red Robin?
You should join the bomb squad with that short fuse.
10 Jan 2026 22:27:42
Like I say Red Hot, golden rule of banter ( and life ) mate. If you dish it out youāve got to be prepared to take it my friendā¦ā¦š.
10 Jan 2026 23:22:12
Once again fair enough šš³.
10 Jan 2026 12:36:44
Whilst the final result left that horrible feeling in the pit of the stomach and anger at the performance I thought that Dycheās reaction was very telling.
Heās clearly given the the fringe player a chance to put their money where their mouth is. And heās been proved right not to include them in the 1st choice squad.
I can see quite a few of them being pushed out of the club if Dyche has his way.
He knows his preferred starting 11 and last night wasnāt that 11.
An FA cup run would have been nice but I would choose a mid table finish and good progression in the Europa league over that any day.
We donāt have the squad depth to be competing on 3 fronts.
Dyche has singled out those not playing for the team or the badge and I trust him to do something about it. We canāt question his commitment to Forest.

Great post Surrey! šš.
10 Jan 2026 13:35:21
That's how I see it Surrey mate.
There are many other things wrong of course but appalling player recruitment is right up there.
I had no problem with the team selected last night as we have much more important things to sort out first.
I did however expect much more from those selected.
Jesus is asked to do a job he's not built for I agree with all who have said that but he did score with his head so it is possible to put in crosses if they are quality. There was also a low cross in the second half that went straight past the 6 yard line. Jesus and Awoniyi stood gawping at it.
10 Jan 2026 16:42:51
It's the long balls from defence to him that's the problem gazzi even if he wins the ball he's got no support to pass to
MGW, we played better second half yesterday with playing out from the back and letting MGW carry the ball and pass through midfield
This big boot won't work in this day and age
Should just keep us up then marinakis will fire him and get a continental coach in.
10 Jan 2026 12:26:44
Do we know if Cubbano is training with us yet if so he has got to be better than Zinchenko unfortunately he played for city and Arsenal in two very good sides that carried him.

I believe that you be very disappointed if youāre. Hoping for a mid table finish mate. 7 points clear or not were very catchable. West Ham doing some transfer business Forest again delaying in moving dross on and signing players who Dyche can coach to his ways - whether we agree with those way as or not- itās clear we have half a squad who he canāt work with.
The club need to decide on its philosophy as edu has clearly signed players for a different style of play. Did he get asked to or has he just decided to that. Either way itās left us very vulnerable.
10 Jan 2026 13:27:23
JS Iāve been wondering about Cubiano too? I thought SD might have had a look at him last nighr if heās available.
10 Jan 2026 16:03:32
Gold Stars surely youād rather be 7 points clear than 4 points from safety which we were when SD arrived?
10 Jan 2026 12:14:37
Munmad Afcon won't finish till 22nd January and then Sangare will need a few days off anyway. No news on Yatesy and I doubt Luiz will play the number of full league games to allow us to buy him, so it looks like he's Juventus-bound.
Dyche will have his eyes on midfielders he knows well.
With Wood out he'll be looking at loan options, of which there are few.
He will keep us up and get into the final rounds of Europa, so no need for panic.
My glass is still half full.

Bit your forgetting dyche won't have a say in players coming in or going out.
10 Jan 2026 18:56:40
DTP clearly some here think that a "coach" is something different to the job description. I can see it now, Dyche scribbling down a few names with his tiny t-rex arms, struggling to hold a pencil, then taking his list up to Edu and being laughed at, Edu then takes his list to Mr M who will be howling in amusement due to the fact that Dyche will be gone before the seasons out.

As Iām losing the will to live reading some of the hysterical comments on here from last nights game, I will restrict myself to the following observations.
Firstly, if you read my pre match posts I anticipated a difficult night. Wrexham are a well run club ( unlike ours) one point of the playoffs with good investment. I see them as solid playoff contenders at the very least.
Secondly, again I ask, were you not entertained? A cracking match, end to end, with some brilliant goals and excitement.
Thirdly, we lost the first half 2 nil and won the second ( with more of our first team squad on the pitch) 3 one. We lost the penalty lottery, their goalkeeper was brilliant throughout the game, as were the Wrexham team as a whole. Good luck to them.
Fourthly, SD will have learnt a lot about his squad last night. None of those players are his choice and as for selection, following a busy Christmas schedule, this was our second game in 3 days ( with travelling time from East London to North Wales). SD has been in charge for less than 3 months. Contrary to rather tedious, repetitive and dim mantras on here of āSD outā and variations thereof, I think no manager should be dismissed without being allowed to shape his squad through at least 2 transfer windows and a pre season. Especially with his record so far in trying to steady the ship after the baleful effects of Nunos disaffection, Postacoglaus disaster, Eduās recruitment and Marinkinakos negative interference ( though we all, of course, admire his investment and ambition).

He won't be getting his own players stokey as he's toast at the end of the season, its as simple as that.
10 Jan 2026 12:20:37
A well reasoned post which I largely agree with. Those shouting "out" all the time are tedious and predictable. With Aina and possibly Yates and Sangare back we can win Five more games and pull off some draws. All reasons for optimism.
Dominguez is getting better and Jesus is working hard with little reward. Hutchinson will improve he's still young. Let's concentrate on supporting the lads however we can. Moaning about their mistakes, Edu and Dyche gets nowhere fast.
10 Jan 2026 12:29:27
Youāll restrict yourself but youāll still have a pop at those who see something different to you. Iām sure your paragraphs contain some valid intelligent remarks but Iām too hysterical to read them and theyāre written by an ostrich - so I canāt be bothered.
Dyche is the worst manager since Megson.
10 Jan 2026 12:48:14
How would we know if any of the starting 11 can play? Lump it and hope to 5 players with an average height of 5'5. Dyche is to blame for last nights result, he was only bailed out by CHO actually turning up for once.
We were poor and made to look even worse by a guy with the tactical intelligence of a brussel sprout. Noticed how well Kalimuendo did on his debut for Frankfurt. š³.
10 Jan 2026 13:07:43
Stokey I agree. There are some in this web site that forget last years FAcup early rounds and a penalty shoot out against Exeter! Also a Swansea defeat this season ( Nuno ).
I watched the whole match and yes was entertained. My own view is that McAtee played as well as a recent Anderson , he is only 21. He will come good in the fullness of time. Poor Morato tried to protect Cunha and slipped up in his own role.
All the goals scored were well taken for both sides. Jesus goal was a great header and OD third was a worthy goal of the season. This was always going to be a tricky away match. No way was this result SDs fault as a manager.
This was a second string expensive side which all of us if we are honest would have started with giving them a chance to shine. SD was right to criticize them. The TNT commentators said exactly the same thing at half time.
We will see similar casualties from the premiership today. As with us it allows the manager to try different players in a pressure match. To lesser teams such as Wrexham a chance to progress and they deserved to
To survive this season is our aim maybe do well in Europe for the first time in a while
We will not be relegated I am confident. SD should then be given a decent contract.
10 Jan 2026 13:13:36
Stop on stars, if you don't agree with them there's something wrong you, which in fact works both ways. We maybe hysterical but at least we are not delusional. Dyche is an outdated cretaceous cretin. š³.
10 Jan 2026 13:19:54
"The untun'd and jarring senses, O, when we are out of tune, we lie. " šš³.
10 Jan 2026 13:25:16
I'm a bit busy at the moment, and although this delusional defending of the indefensible is barely worth a reply, I'm sick of letting this nonsense slide. I'll be replying in more detail later.
Don't be fooled fellow trickies, just because someone can spell and has the spare time to write an essay where a few words will do, it does not mean what they write is based on football nous or tactical insight. Stokey's post may be opinion, but it's a wrong one. Plain and simple.
Dych is a bottom half manager, with outdated tactics not fit for modern football. The sooner he gets the fook out of my club, the better.
Sack Gingersaurus please, Marinakis!
10 Jan 2026 13:41:18
DTP ā¦. So you keep sayingā¦. š¤š¤š¤
Gold stars Iām not having a pop at anyone. Itās just a mind numbingly dull mantra of largely unsupported statements. I can only imagine you were watching a different game to me. It was a great game with very little ālumping ā it up and lots of end to end action. As for ā Dyche is to blameā which of the players out there is he responsible for signing? Who else could he play up top whoās taller than 5ā5ā? Is it his fault Woody and Yates ( that would have been his kind of game) are injured and Taiwo finished?
By the way one of our midgets managed to score with a far post headerā¦ā¦
Answers on a post card pleaseā¦ā¦.

Nononuno, the Swansea cup defeat was Angeball not Nuno.
10 Jan 2026 14:27:16
If over the course of 5 games you cross 500 times eventually even you Stokey would get on the end of one. Yes we don't have woody so how about actually doing his job and use a more tactically intelligent approach to the game. One dimensional lump, hoof and "have it" football belongs on a Sunday league pitch and to be fair that's insulting players at that level.
For a so called intelligent, educated and logical man you are sounding more deluded with each defence of the cretaceous crustacean.
I actually thought King Lear saying "the untun'd and jarring senses, O' th' deaf world. " suited the state of delusion coming from some here, for those who don't know King Lear lost his marbles and was self aware of his loss of those said marbles. š³.

While I've no dislikes for Nuno and dyche, there's one thing that we should consider when it comes to Nuno, he worked with and is a close friend with JosƩ mourinho who in his own right is an excellent coach who has won pretty much every going.
He also has amassed a small fortune from getting the sack! Looks to me Nuno is following in his mentor's foot steps.
10 Jan 2026 10:04:05
Weirdly enough Kalimuendo was making his debut last night in a 3-3 draw. Got himself 2 assists and looked dangerous. We'll never know if he would have been any good for us as Dyche hardly gave him a chance. What a waste when he could have started last night for us, but i guess he doesn't suit lump it high and long outdated cretaceous ball. š³.

One thing I did notice and was very obvious: when we played it to feet we increased our tempo and we looked decent.
10 Jan 2026 09:50:34
Ok. Now Iāve got more of a calm head, letās analyse the game.
Some blatantly obvious things stood out a mile last night:
Zinchenko is nowhere near premier league quality. What we were talked into taking him on loan for is beyond me. Thereās a reason he was not getting game time at Arsenal: heās awful.
McAtee is perhaps one of the worst signings for the money weāve ever made. Plays like heās new to the game, and with two left feet. Again, thereās a reason he was not in Man Cityās plans: they had our pants down with selling him to us.
Morato. Ah, Morato. Good old Morato. Quite possibly our worst defender. No positional awareness. No footballing brain. Too slow. Too much of a liability. Two goals were more or less his responsibility, and he still did his best to gift them another. Shouldnāt be near this squad.
Bakwa. Iām still convinced there is a player in ther somewhereā¦butā¦his positional awareness is woeful. He was all over the pitch last night and didnāt seem to know where his best spot was. Too sloppy. Too slow to understand what was happening or read the game. Unless things really improve, heās not for us.
Ndoye. I cannot understand this one as he āseemedā ok when he first came to us and had a good reputation. However, on recent showings, heās not good enough.
Savona is another whoās positional awareness is off. Leaves massive holes on the pitch and gets dragged out of his zone endless times. Too clumsy too. When heās on it he seems OK, but his other attributes let him down.
All of the above can be let go for all I care. Unfortunately, as theyāve not shown anything in the āshop windowā, we wonāt get anywhere near the amount for selling them that we paid. And thatās if any team would he interested in the first place, which I highly doubt.
I think Dyche was VERY naĆÆve last night to start with the players he did. I said to a friend yesterday morning that Dyche had better not play a āBā team and that he better have some of the senior players ready to haul ass, as Wrexham are nobodyās fool. When I saw the starting 11 I KNEW it was going to be problematic. Problematic, thatās a massive understatement having seen the game: it was a monumental stuff up. It was like Dyche and gang hadnāt even bothered to do any homework on how passionate and capable Wrexham were.
Sadly in the end, our poor start, our team selection, and poor players on the pitch, got us exactly what we deserved: dumped out the cup.

10 Jan 2026 09:10:24
Now that all the knee jerk hysteria has calmed down about sacking Dyche look at the facts
He knows that Premier League survival is the number one priority also he knows that after the Arsenal game we have 2 important Euro cup games to play. so he made 8 changes to the side after a battle against West Ham
Bakwa Savona Morato Ndoye and McAtee were 5 of these who cost 120m between them who are Edu players and simply arenāt good enough to wear the shirt!
Cunha and Hutchinson played well imo
Morato is a pub player and the other 4 are lightweights
Why blame Dyche for trying to give Anderson Murrilo Milenkovic Gibbs White Hudson Odoi
Williams etc a break as the team he picked against Wrexham should have been good enough to beat Wrexham
Hudson Odoi looked like a natural number 9 the way he took his goals
Onwards and upwards Arsenal next and I think if we play our strongest side we will get a point
My team to play Arsenal
Sels.
Aina
Milenkovic
Murrilo
Williams
Dominguez
Anderson
Luis
MGW

It doesnāt bother me at all that we lost to Wrexham. Out of the FA Cup means less matches so we can concentrate on staying up. Letās try for a point now V Arsenal.
10 Jan 2026 09:40:32
I agree, HO took his goals very well, but he found the space and had the time. Playing as a number 9 is totally different, leading the line whilst being shadowed by 2 bruising defenders.
Not sure he has the build / strength / speed for the No 9 role.
Jesus is just getting battered, but the balls to him are not the easiest to control and subsequently making him look poorer than he is.
Still the number of aimless crosses is a worry, very few lead to an effort on goal. Sels had a nightmare, in play and the pens.
10 Jan 2026 09:51:59
It's his hoofball tactics that's the problem, MUNMAD, not his team selection.
10 Jan 2026 10:04:15
Hutchinson was terrible as was luiz.
10 Jan 2026 10:08:27
Not blaming Dyche for rotating, i'm blaming his style, tactical approach and the fact he can't get a tune out of the players. Last night was embarrassing, if it wasn't for CHO it would have even worse. Look how much our starting line-up was worth, especially going forward, then look at the opposition. Anyone how is honestly happy with that needs their head testing. š³.
10 Jan 2026 10:22:15
As always I agree and disagree (thatās why I always enjoy your posts mate )
The fact we replaced 5 first choice players with 120m + of players yet still got
Outclassed
Outfought
Out thought
By a championship side is both absurd and terrifying.
I still maintain a big factor in this is dyche. Even with good players on the pitch the play is too predictable and one dimensional, always looking for the Chanels and an often worthless / fruitless outcome. At the moment I cannot stand Hutchinson, he canāt beat a man, he canāt do anything - infacr he seems brain dead.
10 Jan 2026 10:25:54
Munmad that will be the team more or less, but CHO will play as a winger and Hutchinson will with no luiz
We will sit deep and punt missiles up to jesus and it will not end well
Sorry but dyche has no other tactics in his locker.
