Condolences to Stuart Pearce and family, after the tragic death of their Son Harley. No parent should have to bury a sibling!
RIP Harley Pearce.

Terrible news that Stuart Pearce's son has been killed in an accident in Gloucester
Deepest sympathies to Stuart and his family RIP?.
20 Oct 2025 16:07:34
A humble man, him and his partner does not deserve this sadness. A show of respect against Porto for one of our legends, who's hurting.
20 Oct 2025 14:06:42
Let's keep things in perspective folks. Stuart Pearce lost his son Harley today. RIP young man.

I must say there's a lot of tosh on here and other sites about the supposed deleterious effect of having Sean Dyche as manager. Let's demolish some of the more outrageous guff.
" Dyche will be a throw back to the Chris Hughton and Dougie Freedman days of dour defensive football ". have a look at Paul Birch's excellent BBC article ( reproduced on MOTD) of Dyches stats. They are virtually the same as Nuno in terms of patient defending without the ball, speed of counter attack and possession. Remember Nuno?
You know the guy who got us into Europe for the first time in 30 years? Masterminded victories against the big boys, Liverpool, Man City etc? Disturbed the usual suspects for Champions League places for much of the season, doubles over moneybags clubs Man U and Spurs, Cup semi final etc? His counter attacking football was, at times, exhilarating, almost Cloughian. What short memories some of us have eh?
"Dyche is not good enough for the Premiership, hasn't won anything and will keep us out of qualifying for Europe"
Listen, comrades, anybody who can get a bargain basement team like Burnley into Europe and keep them in the Prem for over a decade on a financial pittance gets my respect. He's never won anything ( apart from promotions) because his teams have been similarly strapped for cash and will never win anything anyway. At Forest ( though he has an impossible boss to work with) he has treasures and talent beyond his wildest dreams.
Lastly, "he's a fire brigade manager for emergencies only". Well, this is certainly an emergency. Take a look at the table and a clearly demoralised squad. He will get them back to basics and what worked before under Nuno before the aberration that was Postacoglau. Organised, disciplined, hard to beat, mentally and physically strong. You know what, he will get us mid table stability and his tactical style might even salvage something from the wreckage of our European campaign so far.
Sometimes, you have to have a reset before you can move forward. His first job will be to steady the ship and it won't be easy. but if anyone can do it, Dyche can. It'll be a blood, sweat and tears scenario though which you can blame the owners mismanagement for imo.
20 Oct 2025 14:13:49
Well said Stokey, 100% behind Dyche and his team. He will gel the team and is likely SC in his relationship with players and the fans.
20 Oct 2025 14:31:28
Nice post Stokey, just I don’t fancy paying all that money for my season ticket to watch Dyche ball and listen to his dreary post match interviews.
20 Oct 2025 14:35:38
Ange Postecoglou at Nottingham Forest is the first manager to see his team score only one goal in his first five Premier League matches in charge since Sean Dyche at Burnley in 2014.
20 Oct 2025 15:06:13
The first four paragraphs are spot on Stokie, a serial failure who's won nothing and never will. Then you had to go all silly and make a case for his appointment.
Let's see who's right in 6 months time. The Yea's or Ney's.
20 Oct 2025 15:53:31
No from me. Not ambitious enough. We are only about 5 points away from European spots, have spent £230M, can still win the Europa League and are only 8 games into the season. And this is from someone who often drinks in the same pub and vaguely knows Sean.
I'd have gone for someone with European footy experience (the Dyche disastrous single season notwithstanding) not just Prem experience and someone with a history of winning trophies.
I'll give him a chance but my gut says this isn't a step forward. It seems like some Forest fans are only happy with defensive minded coaches and watching boring football.
20 Oct 2025 16:19:23
Spot on cyclist. Time to slip back into a coma on match days.
20 Oct 2025 16:36:03
On here there's definitely a seperation of opinion about Dyche, time will tell who's right?, but it's like this with the rest of the fan base, Sean and Co will have to hit the ground running.
20 Oct 2025 16:52:11
Great post Stokey! ? Was thinking the same myself. Like it or not, at this present moment we are in a relegation battle, the table doesn’t lie! Dyche may well be a defensive coach but that’s what we need right now to stop leaking goals. Get that right and the rest will come. We’ve got decent enough players, we just need to find the formula to execute our style of play. Get back to Cooper’s way in the championship and Nuno’s style in the Prem. Soak up the pressure then whack them on the counter attack. Time will tell but give the bloke a chance before dragging him over the coals.
20 Oct 2025 17:30:27
A well written post Stokey and others. You make persuasive points but for me - it still leaves me cold and a little bit down about the future. I shouldn't be, but there you have it! Really hope you're right and he saves us plus more, but will it be a a smooth ride with quick positive results. Where do we go if he fails and it is then too late to stay up! Negative sorry!
More pertinently, I have to highlight your use of the word deleterious! This is highbrow stuff Stokey! I have never used that word academically or communicating. I don't even think I have read it in novels! So eds: this could be a first for the site. Glad you are back on the site sir, and in good form!
20 Oct 2025 18:02:45
Larry, my friend, I think you are taking my comments out of context. Dyche is definitely not a “ serial failure”. His achievements are stupendous when you consider the very tight budgets he was operating under at Burnley and Everton. As you say, time will tell.
By the way, mate, I’m guessing your star sign is Cancer and you like a woman who loves everything and everybody…… Or are you a Floater? ……. ???.
20 Oct 2025 13:54:04
I have to say whoever proposed the recruitment strategy this year has got it badly wrong which is a shame as they've excelled last two seasons. We've effectively been left with Nico Williams to cover both LB/ RB sides and that's it. Dyche is known for building defensive stability but even he's got his work cut out with that one. We are overstocked everywhere else when everyone knew the priority were those wingback positions.
The recruitment and the general strategy from about late last season has been so so poor. Nuno guided us to out best every finish and we had a clear identity under him. If he wants Traore, then give him what he wants and let him get on with it. We've also somehow spent £180m and i'd argue probably only 1 player has actually raised the floor and ceiling of this team. I would have rather kept Elanga.
20 Oct 2025 14:22:21
The way we played last season, Elanga was our most important player.
20 Oct 2025 14:31:46
Red sky I agree. Edu works his Brazilian magic again eh? No wonder Nuno fell out with him.
20 Oct 2025 19:01:08
Thanks very much Norfolk! Whilst I know my posts sometimes opprobrium I try hard not to appear pusillanimous nor insouciant………????.
20 Oct 2025 13:31:06
Thoughts go to Stuart Pearce and his family at the tragic loss of his son Harley, 21. RIP Harley ?.
20 Oct 2025 14:23:38
That is awful news Chim. First I've heard it. Very sad.
20 Oct 2025 14:39:05
Sad loss at such a young age!
20 Oct 2025 12:22:56
Ed033 piggy backing on a comment by Andyefc123 on the Everton discussion page, is there any chance of dark screen on here? it really is helpful for us with poor eyesight, and noticed you can do it on Live Chat. Thanks Eds hope you can?.
{Ed033's Note - Yes, optional Dark Mode and optional text sizing and larger 'Create New Post' form will be on this site hopefully this week.
20 Oct 2025 14:22:32
That's fantastic news Ed033, Thank You?.
20 Oct 2025 10:17:54
I totally agree with this:
"The thought of Sean Dyche in the dugout may feel both reassuring and uninspiring for Forest fans. His record for structure, discipline and survival is undeniable, yet the Forest’s issues run deeper than defensive frailties or tactical misfires. Supporters may question whether Dyche represents a step forward or simply a return to a firefighting mentality that has defined Forest’s modern identity.
There is admiration for his resilience, but fans crave ambition beyond 17th place. Dyche’s Everton sides were sturdy but seldom expressive, and at Burnley, his success was built on simplicity and physicality rather than flair. With Forest investing heavily in technical talent, from creative midfielders to European prospects, supporters could wonder whether Dyche’s methods align with the squad’s potential. "
Boring but reassuring for many fans. Exactly.
20 Oct 2025 11:45:19
In that case we would of been better off bringing cooper back. i'm hoping for a late change of heart. and another manager coming in instead.
20 Oct 2025 12:19:29
Beggars can’t be choosers.
20 Oct 2025 12:25:18
Can't dispute that assessment of where we are at! ?.
20 Oct 2025 13:30:51
I think in the current circumstances, he's what we need.
20 Oct 2025 13:40:12
Just reading the awful news about Stuart Pearce's son Harley, he died when his Farm vehicle suffered a blow out.
RIP.
20 Oct 2025 13:40:37
Mostly agree with that, I think the jury is out on technical talent.
20 Oct 2025 09:12:38
Welcome home Sean Dyche, Ian Woan and Steve Stone. Let's work together, play decent football and get up the table where we belong. IMO the fans will be right behind you, after an awful run of results.
COYR.
20 Oct 2025 09:52:23
They’ve got no hair but we don’t care???.
20 Oct 2025 10:01:28
My God talk about delusional keef.
From Nuno to Phil Mitchell in a month. Europe to relegation.
Some folk except anything.
20 Oct 2025 10:20:18
Honestly i may not be 100% sold on Dyche but just hearing Stone and Woan brings a huge smile to my face. Legends ?.
20 Oct 2025 11:45:57
Like Johnos phone when we employed Postegolu, I bet Garners phone has had loads of texts from Forest players asking what to expect from Dyche.
20 Oct 2025 13:52:12
Stop living on past History. Pearce was a legend but a crap manager.
So two 2nd rate coaches work with the master of 17th spot and here we go it's bound to mean top 6 they played for forest. Unbelievable how low we have sank in 6 weeks.
20 Oct 2025 15:38:24
Yes Larry , feels like we’ve really taken a few steps back, I don’t disagree with appointment though, we are where we are I’m afraid.
Rest assured though mate I doubt very, very much that two coaches in Dyche’s team playing for us when Ford Orions were all the rage had any bearing on the appointment whatsoever. It’ll have no bearing on whether the succeed or not either. you’ll find when the chips are down Forest fans immediately resort to living in the past, I guess it’s a kind of comfort blanket.
We shouldn’t underestimate the situation we’re in though, as someone has said above we don’t now necessarily have players to play this way for every position. We definitely don’t have a defence to play Sean’s way.
20 Oct 2025 08:31:03
Welcome to Forest Sean Dyche a no nonsense straight talking Manager who lives in the City loves the club and will bring with him a couple of Forest legends in Ian Woan and Steve Stone
He always has been a four at the back defence minded manager who goes man for man not this zonal marking rubbish.
20 Oct 2025 08:46:56
No matter what you think or what you want from our club Dyche is the new man and like always I will support and cheer for the mighty Reds, certainly a 3 pronged Forest link with the new staff let's hope they get that over to the players ?.
20 Oct 2025 08:53:50
Hopefully he can turn us around and get us climbing up the table and away from the trap door. And sort the defence out.
20 Oct 2025 09:06:11
Is this a fact, as no media outlet has confirmed. Out of all the candidates proposed Dyche can do the job ie keep us in the premier league.
20 Oct 2025 09:11:11
But who is going to play left or right back with aina out still
Can't play zinchenko in a flat back four for starters and the rest are centre backs.
20 Oct 2025 09:51:10
Williams will play left back Savona will play right imo.
20 Oct 2025 10:03:01
Dyche ????As Marinakas move us to the next stage in the hunt for the big 6.
20 Oct 2025 10:50:34
Murrilo best lB at the club ?.
20 Oct 2025 11:24:28
Looks like it's Sean Dyche to be the new coach, got to hope he is successful but can't help thinking the?⏳ has already started!. For a multi millionaire Mr Marinakis does not seem to make long term plans,
20 Oct 2025 11:35:43
Savola looks lost trying to play right back munmad
Hes a centre back imo.
20 Oct 2025 12:48:32
Played 25 games for Juventus at RB mate was bought as a full back I say give him a chance until Aina is back.
20 Oct 2025 13:44:55
Why do you think Murillo is the best left back at the club redjester? Genuinely curious, hope you’re correct as it solves a problem position.
20 Oct 2025 13:56:46
I agree Redjester, I’ve always thought Murillo would make a great left back. Good energy, tries to create.
20 Oct 2025 14:50:16
He will the void till Aina comes back with plenty of CB he can move over he's fast a good tackler and can pass well and with a player behind him and in front he be ie CHO he will excel, just my opinion ????.
20 Oct 2025 08:20:46
Thanks for advice in getting back online guys!
Don't think I've missed much???.
20 Oct 2025 08:47:25
Yeah Mc, all rosie in here mate. Nothing unusual happening.
