Slot's Excuses Are An Embarrassment To Liverpool FC

{Ed's Note - LFC-S MANGO has posted a new article entitled, Slot's Excuses Are An Embarrassment To Liverpool FC

30 Oct 2025 16:00:06
Reflecting on our loss to Bournemouth: Dyche got it all wrong in terms of tactics and subs.
First of all the opposition had nine days rest before the match. We played virtually the same team and had only a couple of days rest. We could have rotated players, I'd have preferred Morato in than Murillo and we could have used Jair Cunha, Domingues, Yates MCatee and Hutchinson, and given others a rest, even if we brought them on later.

That means we could have had much fresher players for Man. United.
Asking players to play Porto and then Bournemouth in such a short space of time has nothing to do with fitness, because their bodies have to have time to recover.
We have a big enough squad to do some rotation and shouldn't be afraid of it. They were lacklustre because they were cream crackered, and the poor refereeing continues to haunt us.
Stand by our men!

30 Oct 2025 20:33:38
We should have played most those you mentioned against Porto.

30 Oct 2025 22:33:29
Don't get why the £130 mil signings aren't getting a look in, 3 managers n none of them seems to fancy mcatee bakwa Hutchinson kalimendo are they all that bad, if so whoever signed them needs to go. that outlay worth next to nothing now.

30 Oct 2025 23:05:25
Good post BS. I agree, but it's not just about the practicality of player rotation to maintain energy levels within the 1st team. In doing so, it also involves a psychological message to the players that they are always replaceable. That IMO is always a good thing to curb players' egos and keep them on their toes.

31 Oct 2025 01:28:59
I personally think a lot of our fanbase/ posters are doing Bournemouth a huge injustice, they are an extremely well run club with a clear identity.
They have a manager who if i remember rightly wasn't to popular at the start of his region but has become one of the most sort after head coaches/ managers in Europe.
Whoever is in charge of their recruitment is possibly the best in the league. Never hear me grumble about losing to the side placed 2nd in the league.
Look at who they sold in the summer and the level of club they went to. They recouped a crazy amount of money and by the looks of it recruited equally as well again.

Its my opinion that Dyche and co will be judged on the upcoming games between now and Christmas. DTP asked a very good question about how many points we can realistically get between now and then. I hope it'll be between 10 and 15 but heyho I'm an optimistic when it comes to us and I'll never bet against us.
I genuinely think Dyche needs time, he needs to get across his style which i think is very much in the ilk of nuno and i prey the players respond.
Optimistically still think midtable is very much achievable. ?.

31 Oct 2025 05:28:08
I reckon we'll put the "Frightners" on United tomorrow!
If we play, Milenko"Witch", Ryan "Yikes! ", Morgan-Gibbs-"Fright". Definitely not Sang "Scary", we might have a "Hell" of a chance!.
It's sure to ge a "Thriller! "
"Ah, ha! ha! ha, ha! ha!
Ah! ha! ha! ha! ha! "
???.

31 Oct 2025 07:20:46
Brilliant Rogie!

And belated birthday wishes for the other day Lego mate!

31 Oct 2025 08:01:20
That's good Rogie ?.

31 Oct 2025 08:45:06
“Fangs” for that Rogie! We certainly need to “resurrect” our season, “raise ourselves up” from the “dead”and retrieve our “grave” situation, thereby protecting Nr M’s “stake” in the club. Otherwise it’s all “doom and gloom” as far as I can see.
Tomorrow is a chance to “exorcise” the “demons” of the Ange era imo……. ????.

31 Oct 2025 09:15:21
Brilliant!
Forgot I forgot "Igor" Jesus!
???.

31 Oct 2025 13:44:17
Could it be possible that we’ve signed players who aren’t fit for purpose? Hard to comprehend I know but it’s not looking good on that front is it?

31 Oct 2025 17:33:44
Love the banter at this time of year, maybe give Sels the vampire a rest though, he hates crosses ? ? ?.

31 Oct 2025 19:17:27
Now that's brilliant ???.

30 Oct 2025 15:53:17
It's great to see Jamie MCdonnell being noticed playing for Mansfield, already played for Northern Ireland, maybe next season part of Forests squad?, ☑️ one for the Academy.

30 Oct 2025 21:38:02
Only if we get relegated,.

30 Oct 2025 23:40:34
There is no ifs carlo as according to you we have such a bad owner?
You've been on his case with your mole since he bought us
Come on be the man and admit that?
Tales of his son you've put on here, not one word from you if well done marinakis when we where doing OK
Now it's not going well back to type and now it's edu?

31 Oct 2025 09:18:39
The owner isn't the problem dtp it's who he's listening to edu that's the problem.

31 Oct 2025 10:48:47
I get the feeling he only listens to someone for a short while then goes off on one sacks somebody and moves on, he doesn't seem to have any patience it obviously works in the shipping business but rich players and coaches can shrug their shoulders and move to the next position.

I'm not knocking him just polnting out his flaws in my opinion!. He needs someone he can trust to get on with the job can't see anyone there at the moment, perhaps there is a few on here could put him in his place has a owner/ FAN ONLY ???.

31 Oct 2025 19:20:17
Who was the problem before then skeggs when under karanka, hughton?
And he was obviously listening to you under Cooper ????.

StokeyRed
has written an article entitled, Set Pieces to Dominate Nottingham Forest Under Dyche?

Agree4 Disagree2

30 Oct 2025 14:36:31
StokerR you have hit the nail on the head once again. An excellent piece on how we can move forward with Dyche. Many managers admire Yates as he must be the fittest player in our squad. He also gets an occasional goal. I am looking forward to Saturday.

30 Oct 2025 16:14:13
Just read Sean Dyches pre- match press convergence, he was complementary about Yates but didn't say he's first name on the team sheet, I wonder if Dyche would prefer Garner ?.

30 Oct 2025 16:40:42
We need to score from set pieces as we seem incapable of scoring from open play recently. A couple of penalties, Milenkovic from a corner and a free kick screamer from. erm. somebody, would do. ?.

30 Oct 2025 17:07:17
We need a free kick within shooting distance with Luiz on the pitch. Typical we get one 2nd half against Bournemouth as soon as he's gone off!

30 Oct 2025 17:58:36
An extremely sound prediction of our future under SD Stokey. Very well written,

30 Oct 2025 18:27:20
Said same to my nates Sunday Fred
How two current England International players can't take one is beyond belief.

30 Oct 2025 19:05:21
If Yates is the perfect cm for dyche then we really are in big trouble, love the lad but his first touch is normally a shove in the back and a yellow card. I could run around kicking and shoving don't make me a premier league player either.

30 Oct 2025 20:39:48
Got to agree with you redstripe
He won't score and that's why we are all safe and dry
I predicted he'll play awoniyi and wood above any other striker, Everton had plenty of centre backs to play his style a a good goalkeeper, we haven't.

30 Oct 2025 21:26:36
I've read your set piece and dyche
Basically it fall downs and end in goals as we can't deliver a set piece, so if that's all dyche has in his locker we'll still be bottom three. and he'll of picked up no points at end of November and that will be the end.

30 Oct 2025 21:29:16
Why wouldn't you play wood proven premiere league striker. maybe if edu had done some homework we wouldn't be in this mess I'm sure dyche will do the best he can with what edu as tried to give him.

30 Oct 2025 21:38:46
Wood scored most his goals from crosses from elanga a nd CHO skeggs and most with his feet plus some good pens, he's to old a wise to go back to hoof ball, Cooper tried that tactic with him and he looked awful, he's no good at hold up
We' can't play his outdated tactics, it's dyche that needs to adapt to the squad he has.

30 Oct 2025 21:51:37
Edu, Edu, your like a parrot skeggs, have you seen anything from last seasons first eleven?
Have you seen Edu s signings play, cus barring a couple I haven't
Now you are blaming marinkas, that's the same marinakis that's given you premier football
Jesus has scored goals and so has ndoye plus assists
Zinchenko a bad one the rest I wait to see play before I criticise Edu, but you'll not see them play at all under dyche and he'll flogg them to death Saturday, Thursday and Sunday imo
If he does then that's stupidity, he has to rotate or we are done
He's already hiding behind the "we aren't fit enough "so that'll be nuno and anges fault not his.

31 Oct 2025 06:18:45
Well pal you've just said it all yourself about edus signings. 3 managers and none of them rate the players obviously else they would be playing wouldn't they emm ? fact. you know I'm right. but you can't handle the truth ?? I rest my case.

31 Oct 2025 08:45:11
On a pillow ???.

30 Oct 2025 10:52:25
And meeting you too McGovern mate! Where has time gone?

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Oct 2025 18:04:05
Sorry McGovern that makes no sense because it refers to my previous long post ( or Review) when I said when we beat Man Utd at the City Ground 1 nil on April 1st it was the last time we kept a clean sheet in the Prem and the first time I had the pleasure of meeting up with you, Lego and Carlo.

Hope that’s cleared things up?

29 Oct 2025 22:23:58
Our next ten premier league games are six at home and four away till end of December
What would your expectations be of a points tally from those games and do you think dyche can gain enough points from them?

Agree4 Disagree0

29 Oct 2025 22:48:57
Honestly, I've just checked them and I'd say 11 points optimistically, maybe a few less or a few more. All of the sides are obviously in better form than ourselves barring Wolves. ?.

30 Oct 2025 00:44:51
No more than 12 points.

30 Oct 2025 04:12:02
Would hope for points away to Wolves and Everton, at home, how the supporters respond is important, too many performances like against Bournemouth and it will became toxic very quickly.

30 Oct 2025 05:56:52
Stokey will analyse it for us in his own style
You know how it works. Ask him the time and he'll tell you how to make watch ?.

30 Oct 2025 06:19:40
It doesn't matter how many points you think dyche will get lol. Keep moaning about dyche I'm sure there's a lot of fans like myself that would of wanted a better manager in. but it's not happening either the managers we wanted are in work at the minute or the decent managers that are out of work wouldn't touch the job with a bargepole.

so I'm just happy we have someone who's stepped in for now. and it's the players that are not playing because of there heads being turned and not stepping up that's the biggest problem. and edu ?.

30 Oct 2025 06:33:34
Including the 5 we've already got and based on current form I think we'll be on a combined total of 10 points. Because at the moment we can't score and we can't defend. Which, in any league especially the Premier League, is a recipe for disaster. These problems have been there since after the second league match.

30 Oct 2025 08:01:37
Larry ?????.

30 Oct 2025 08:15:32
Thanks for the replies and ravers I believe you'll be the closest
To me we have to beat leeds, wolves and Everton h and get the odd draw for dyche to be here at Xmas and my explanation if saying he'll be gone
If we don't win any of those home games and any of them become heavy defeats, the crowd want him gone and will turn on marinakis in the next few weeks
Going to games I see the friction and arguments behind the stands and never witnessed what postacoglou had to endure on his second home game in all my years of going, so don't expect patience from those fans anymore.

Let's hope he has instilled some confidence and self belief in the players and got them organised for Saturday and finds a formula to work or like it or not he will be gone just like ange and could be in less time
The squad has enough quality not to be in this position and only the coaching staff can sort out a way of getting results from the players
End of the day the buck stops with the manager/ coach.

30 Oct 2025 09:29:25
The buck stops with the players. The rot set in last April, we have seen Nuno and AP go. Views on each of these two vary but for some reason the players stopped playing with their usual verve. Now we have SD. Many on this site believe he has the character needed to get the players on track.

I can’t think of another manager that would have a better effect. If SD fails we are relegated - end of. The players will have let him and the other two down in a big way and they deserve relegation.

30 Oct 2025 10:45:27
If Dyche 'implodes', and he goes DTP, what would effect would losing three managers swiftly have on the players? I think they would lose all motivation, even in the Prem and just fade away until the season closes. Can you have 4 managers in a season, (and I mean season- both meanings! )

30 Oct 2025 11:27:18
15 points.

30 Oct 2025 11:37:01
Nuno it doesn't explain thr performance against brentford and Palace or the first half against betis
My own view is the sides being put out are unbalanced and players who are out of form continuing to be picked.
We've had a problem for along time now where we are OK if we score first especially early, if we concede especially early there seems to be no way back
Individual errors are costing us dearly aswell
My opinion of dyche is he likes a 6 footer in every position and rely far to heavily on scoring from set pieces, we haven't got anyone other than luiz capable of taking a set piece and that's a major problem.

If dyche can't adapt his tactics to the squad we have then he won't succeed.
The forwards we have won't thrive on long balls punted upfield by sels, they need playing in and crosses from the wings, that's how I see it not working with dyche, but I hope he proves me wrong.

30 Oct 2025 11:49:52
I've heard Brendan Rogers is now available and not in a job.

It isn't impossible that we will have had 4 managers by the end of the January window, which just shows how pathetic the players have been for some time. We only lost one key player from a squad that made 2nd place last season at one point.

People always blame changing bosses on bad form, but it is party bad form that leads to changing managers too. So worrying.

30 Oct 2025 12:54:05
Brenda Rogers ?? couldn't do anything with Celtic and I didn't think you wanted a manager in that has a say in public about the owners make your mind up cyclist I would rather keep Dyche than have brenda.

30 Oct 2025 15:51:13
I don't think changing again if we don't have to is a good idea. I'd rather have Rogers all day though and it was a mistake not to appoint him when we appointed Dyche.

30 Oct 2025 18:05:06
In the next 10 games we need to find a way of getting 15 pts don't care how we do it. SD just needs to find away. In the europa I reckon we will get the 2 wins needed to get to playoff round.

30 Oct 2025 18:27:46
It's not who maranakis wanted. he's obviously after his pal from fulham but won't pay the fee maybe they already have a agreement but I'm guessing that all depends on wether we're championship next season or Premier league let's just hope dyche can pull it off.

31 Oct 2025 14:49:50
Marinakis didn't choose this boss. According to Forest, Edu and Syrianos did. Marinakis was expecting Silva and/ or Rogers to be available of the end of the season if he wants them, so probably said go for it with Dyche but I ain't taking the blame if it goes t1ts up.

28 Oct 2025 19:17:19
Firstly, what do we think of SDs comment on the squads lack of fitness and secondly does our owners trigger happy volatility mean the World' s top ( and I mean apex) coaches wouldn't touch us with a barge pole. ?

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Oct 2025 19:59:17
Our training facilities are way behind most premier clubs.

28 Oct 2025 20:06:50
Most of these coming from a geordie, stokey. I'd have the lot jogging through nettles on the banks of the river trent. There n back. SD asking for no snoods or hats is normally because they are training with them over their faces, set pieces/ final 3rd . swear reds i hate sending these posts but the lot's just getting on top of me lately.

I know probably too much time on retirement but my this really is a concern one good game in Europe not on about SD or the owner. I'm on about our future as a whole. because if the fans wanna p1ss big feller off that much. (Remember he can just give up if he wants) yet still owning. Just a thought. anyway me done till next game. Just frustrated.

28 Oct 2025 20:22:15
Gerrum down the Trent, running through nettles ??.

28 Oct 2025 21:14:20
Great excuse from dyche balloons when the losses pile up, I told you they weren't fit enough?
Look like I keep saying it has to work, but I can't see it working with dyche.

28 Oct 2025 21:57:50
Gerrum! ?
Surely from Eastwood?

28 Oct 2025 22:12:32
2 star Eastwood is on earth ??.

29 Oct 2025 04:21:33
It's not going to work with Dyche, DTP, What a poor appointment. This CV shows nothing works with him. What they were thinking God only knows. Total lack of ambition. A young progressive modern coach like Iraola required, but where do we keep going?
The Natural History Museum.

29 Oct 2025 05:31:48
WE WILL NOT BE RELEGATED.

29 Oct 2025 05:54:01
Famous last words, Rogie.

29 Oct 2025 09:43:59
There’s nothing wrong with the Natural History Museum Larry ( except you need months to see everything)!
Tony Pulis has given a good interview today on the BBC website you might be interested in mate. Maybe “dinosaurs” didn’t die out ( which we know to be true)

29 Oct 2025 10:32:09
I must say again Larry you are looking at SD’s CV entirely out of context mate. He’s managed Burnley for the vast majority of his career not Real Madrid. To keep them ( and cash strapped and FFP points docked Everton up) for a decade is an incredible achievement.

Forest will be his first properly resourced club and he’s been here a week! Let’s give the bloke a fair crack of the whip eh? ???.

29 Oct 2025 10:46:46
I don't think we will go down either to be honest.

Maybe they aren't quite fit enough, Bournemouth certainly looked to be more energetic compared to us on Sunday. let's hope he can whip them into shape quick and we have a solid performance at the weekend.

29 Oct 2025 11:21:53
You know where bookies are then Rogie. Wack ya house on it ?.

29 Oct 2025 11:28:20
Apex coaches only go for Champion's League clubs normally.

29 Oct 2025 11:28:33
SD. Stegosourus Dyche will die out at Forest, Stokey and like most of our others, never work again unless Walsall or Doncaster get desperate.
To get turned over by Bournemouth without laying a glove on them is an incredible achievement too.

29 Oct 2025 12:31:00
You forget a few days before we beat Porto. A good side undefeated in 12 games. We had no training facilities in Cloughie’s day. Yet the side were fit. A 5k run every day would get them fitter. However there was a stat out there, that Anderson has run 98.4 K during matches this season.

Bournemouth, they were all tired - young people burning the candle at both ends? Saturdays match is unpredictable, we are due a bit of luck. As supporters we must get behind the team from the off.

29 Oct 2025 12:50:33
Larry, my unrealistic but admirably optimistic friend, were you surprised we didn’t get anything at Bournemouth?
Look at the facts….
We are in the relegation places, Bournemouth second in the table
We haven’t won since the first game of the season, they haven’t lost since then
We were away from home having played Thursday night, then a days recover, then a day travelling.

They had all week off
Iraola is in his 3rd season with them, Dyche had less than a week.
Give the bloke ( and his team) a chance and give your head a wobble whilst you are at it! ????.

29 Oct 2025 12:53:00
Players during training are wired up like a house alarm monitoring al the streess and strains on there body's, sport scientists, , food prepared by chefs with energy and calories taken into account. At the end though, it's the players responsibility put in the effort as a well paid sportsman!.

As for looking back to Tony Pulis tactics (which are working) , looking forward to seeing the lorry's pulling up at the training ground with builders sand to recreate Mick McCarthys infamous The Hill, sorted the menu from the boys!.

29 Oct 2025 16:43:04
I'd have Skegs as Sports scientist.
Roll up at 2.00pm.
10 press ups
4 pints and a Donor on naan.
As for wired up, skegs is definitely not wired up right. ?.

29 Oct 2025 16:53:56
Harold Larwood, orderd by the Captain to drink 3 pints of mild at lunch, went out and bowled at 96 mph, faster than nearly all modern bowlers, wore his boots our everyday, pure effort and dedication and heart!

29 Oct 2025 18:33:45
That would be 10 pints and donor with bread and butter Larry. and I definitely ain't wired up properly ?.

29 Oct 2025 18:59:38
A rolls Royce doesn't run without lubricant.

29 Oct 2025 19:15:46
Big Larry, I put my house on us not being relegated under Cooper over 2 years ago.
Now I've retired and I'm living in a Castle, and now known as "Lord Rogie! "

???.

29 Oct 2025 19:51:58
Your Grace!

29 Oct 2025 21:13:37
Carlo, my next door neighbour when I lived in Underwood was Ken Harris, brother of the famous Charlie Harris, Nottinghamshires opening batsman during the Larwood Voce era. Ken himself played as a bowler for Notts and knew them both very well.
He told me that Dennis Compton ( playing for Surrey I think), one of the best ever English batsman ( and brycream boy with filmstar good looks ) came back into the changing room having been bowled by Larwood.

He told everyone he was relieved to be out because, in his own words “ That Larwood chap will kill someone one day” …….

29 Oct 2025 21:21:44
Bloody hell stokey it's like jackanory
Your like the uncle Albert from fools and horses ????.

30 Oct 2025 05:17:58
"Vot is your name! "
???.

30 Oct 2025 11:28:12
The film of Harold on the body line tour shows what real heart and commitment are.
Every bit of him went into every ball, Dyche should show it to our underperforming millionaires, a Nottm. man so humble off the field but awesome on it.

28 Oct 2025 19:08:34
Jota Silva would have been more effective and scored more than some of the forwards this season? He's one of the few players we have/ had who can finish well.

In case you weren't aware, he's on loan at Besiktas.

Cuiabano (also on loan in Brazil until January) might have been handy as well.

Agree3 Disagree0

28 Oct 2025 20:23:15
Kane wouldn't score with our midfield.

28 Oct 2025 20:25:14
Cyclist aina has been a HUGE miss for me, think there's only balloons agreed with me one of our very best players.

28 Oct 2025 20:38:29
And never a truer word spoken balloons
Midfield is the problem, the partnership of Anderson and MGW has to be broken up or we won't change that imo
One dominates and keeps his place the other a liability atm and to lightweight for a dyche scrap.

28 Oct 2025 20:40:15
He definitely is mate.
Lighting quick, massive miss.

28 Oct 2025 21:23:16
Elanga is the real miss look at his goals and assists and lightening pace
All gone
He was our outlet and made space fior our midfield and wood thrived of it
Jesus would have scored hatfuls playing alongside him.

28 Oct 2025 22:53:31
Note Elanga is not in Newcastle first 11. Took get 50 M for him was a good deal.

28 Oct 2025 23:16:26
Really?

29 Oct 2025 08:12:29
Elanga wanted to go couldn't wait to leave good riddance.

29 Oct 2025 10:20:21
Elanga ?? yes massive miss so massive he can't get into the Newcastle first 11 regularly. 50 million well gained. just a shame edu wasted it on worse players living the forest dream.

29 Oct 2025 10:56:26
Never heard any attempt to keep AE, not the finished article but fundamental to our style last season.
He was disappointed not to have started at Wembley, mistake to me.

29 Oct 2025 14:21:57
Yes, Cyclist I would have kept Jota and I said so pre season. Ironically he is a Dyche type player, a grafter who always plays with intensity plus he takes it to the opposition, like Yates, winds them up mate.

29 Oct 2025 17:34:53
Far more committed than current wingers, maybe not so talented but all action.
Heard him being interviewed, Whatever and when ever the manager tells me what to do I give it all!
Don’t see that in the latest incumbents.

29 Oct 2025 22:30:53
Yes, can't do anything but agree with Stokey and carlo, Jota was a good player to have when the chips are down and a solid finisher with bottle.

I don't think keeping Elanga was even on the cards, though. He was having a love in with his Newcastle buddies for ages on social media for everyone to see. His heart wasn't with Forest any more. Never keep a player who wants out.

30 Oct 2025 01:57:27
Also agree that Aina has been missed. He wasn't firing before his injury but he is a skilful player and is experienced. Nuno was right about full back cover.

30 Oct 2025 10:33:58
We could do with Elanga in the side at the moment considering he got 11 goals and 20 assists in 74 league matches for us. Not too shabby when compared to what we are producing at the minute.

30 Oct 2025 15:24:07
Elanga also caused a problem for the opposition coach's tactics trying to contain him, freeing up players and creating space.

28 Oct 2025 16:45:45
Ok my opinion.
1= i'd rather have a rich owner with passion, than an owner without any. looking for dollar signs cutting corners.
2= I'd rather have a coach/ manager, whatever the trendy name is these days, putting himself out there. Listening to the fans opinions. (As the owner should) more meetings with fan club officials may help. Just get the people involved.
(For ignorance will be our downfall. We can all crack on with chefs/ tea ladies/ cleaners etc. But you need them working class hero's to look back at you nervously and think wow. What a man.
Also grow a pair and throw the odd academy laddie out.

We play enough games for taylors sake. We need to start believing in our youth. Not just panic buying. This club to me has always been my heart. Let it beat don't clog it in falsities.
3= players, for me I'd look at the simple game. Who's got the will to win, (not pansy arseholes) but strength. Wanting to work, win the ball, play an easy ball, can hit the net without panic,
4÷ a kick up the arse to our training regimes, they are either not complying to what they are asked, or not training anywhere hard enough. My opinion crack on. FTID.

To back up what Bowie is saying about the owner, I'll post this again.

Comparing Marinakis with previous owners, is exactly what anyone turning on the owners should do. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. The club have been run like a s4it show for years before Marinakis came to Forest.

Marinakis and his lieutenants are not perfect, nobody is. They will make mistakes, like anyone else. But Marinakis appointed Cooper, appointed Nuno, funded our rise to Europe and the Prem. Are you seriously complaining about that? I mean really?

They have also kept together a squad (minus Elanga) that qualified for Europe and added some good young players, many of whom are paying in the toughest league in the world for the first time. If Dyche can only just keep us up then that is a failure and Marinakis will, quite rightly, agree IMO.

So are we blaming the players? The coaches? The owner? Edu? Syrianos? People working under them?

It's obviously complex, and blaming the owner is simplistic nonsense of the first degree. The owner has the club in the best place it has been for decades. THINK ABOUT IT!

In particular, those people who think Dyche being appointed is a good move, should stop saying Edu is the problem when Edu and syrianos appointed Dyche and signed you Douglas Luiz who is, I'm told, one of our saviours.

28 Oct 2025 18:37:13
Superb post Bowie. Particularly, I've been a long-believer that our Academy is an under-funded and under-valued asset of our club which has always had massive untapped potential for Forest - in terms of both emerging talent and, ultimately, money.

28 Oct 2025 18:39:07
No truer word was said Bowie, I'll stick my penny worth in for what it's worth. I can't see us getting more than 30 more points this season, so that's 35 in total. enough to keep us up? Not sure. I've followed forest since 1966, I'm not a true red as I was told you have to go to all the games home and away to be one, lucky ones who can afford it.

I don't think Mr M will walk away if we get relegated, he'd loose face if he did. but that's all perhaps and maybe, let's get behind them Now! And hope the players get their acts together.

28 Oct 2025 19:11:56
Appreciatetion to all of ya reds, going to be a lot of, who thinks right from wrong this season. And a lot of different sides of the fence. But as always. We only want the best.

28 Oct 2025 19:17:54
Vale my friend, never let anyone bully ya on here, just be yourself and belive in what you love. Family, friends, forest. Probably the 1st time I've heard the 3 x f's used that way.

AS TO ALL REDS OUT THERE. Just got to keep believing, moan our way up OR down. It's what we do. But keeps the old ticker racing (ask good old jester) x.

28 Oct 2025 19:41:06
I used to love watching ANY academy player getting a run out. Lego. Think yates is our last, probably wrong, but cannot remember. Surely as I've posted before on here to have hope you need light. If it was my boy showing signs of hope I'd be like ef that, ( to be shown the 3rd division etc) on loan at best.

The young laddies really need a way forward. In Europe, the league cup, fa cup etc etc just give them a run out. Means a lot to me. Been bleating about it for years. Kept us afloat, or has history drowned itself in forgetfulness. Just saying. All about greed now.

28 Oct 2025 19:49:40
Good post Cyclist. I really agree with you in the main.

Couple of points though - firstly Dyche's appointment was not put down as a Big M appointment for PR/ Ego reasons. I think that he realised that he'd screwed-up with Nuno and, in case Dyche's appointment doesn't work out, the guy didn't want blood on his hands for all to see yet again.

Secondly, Dyche himself. Personally, I think he is the perfect appointment. Not a step-backwards in any way IMO. A safe pair of hands when we need it most.

28 Oct 2025 20:09:55
There is no one good enough right now in the academy, it's not underfunded, it's playing catch up from years of trying to produce championship players to producing premier players
I know the under 9 coach and for last three seasons the players have been of better quality each year, bit that takes time to filter through
So much time goes into our academy as well, it will come good but not overnight.

28 Oct 2025 20:31:11
Edu will have signed a 25 million pound player luiz out of a 180 million pounds spent I'm not sure anyone else would pay 25 million fir him at tge minute but he's doing OK anyway hiws the other 155 million going he spent going ???.

28 Oct 2025 20:58:46
Ferrer is the head of recruitment skeggs
How about you give him some grief?
He identified all our signings since 24 and didn't do a bad job at benfica for 17 years doing the same.

28 Oct 2025 21:01:20
I'd love to know how you know our academy dtp been one our differences as you know.

28 Oct 2025 21:33:44
I agree with you DTP, but I'm sure if Cooper was in charge of our Academy he'd certainly accelerate things!

28 Oct 2025 22:01:07
Name a player Bowie that you could put straight into our side?
I can't, simple as that.

28 Oct 2025 22:08:14
Skeeggs and balloons wanted Cooper out lego the rest is history and they are crying because their loved one blew the champions league and then had a vendetta against the owner, but walked away with a swag ???.

28 Oct 2025 22:18:25
Ps lego he's turned brondy into champion material overnight, so doubt he'd be interested taking a step back.

28 Oct 2025 23:32:08
Here we go again DTP! All in good faith, but surely you must agree that with Cooper's proven pedigree at developing young footballing talent, combined with his proven managerial skills of turning losers into winners, he would be a perfect fit to head the Forest Academy?

Personally, I also think he'd bite Big M's hand off if offered the opportunity.

29 Oct 2025 00:25:11
But I'm not at the academy dtp?

29 Oct 2025 10:36:11
I think SC will be the only World Cup Winner who will ever manage us. Like SD and Nuno he achieved incredible things considering the obstacles our owner put in his way….

29 Oct 2025 12:29:45
Olympiacos won a European trophy last year. Greek teams aren't exactly serial winners in Europe. The Europa League 2024 is the ONLY MAJOR EUROPEAN TROPHY a Greek side has ever won. A MONUMENTAL ACHIEVEMENT.

Not sure why you try to diminish Marinakis achievements. We were also out of the Prem for over 20 years and Europe since the last century.

Get real. Sick of the total nonsense.

Bowie, is it the fans than need a red card? ?.

29 Oct 2025 16:32:22
Red from me cyclist ?.

29 Oct 2025 18:38:26
Cyclist chill. maranakis is a good owner but just listens to the wrong advice. It would be like me listening to your advice on football you should stick to what you know about 2 wheels ??.

30 Oct 2025 02:00:56
I'd have probably stuck Abbott, Hutchinson and Angus Gunn in the team last weekend, Jay. It would have either gone exactly as it did or something would finally change. It might boot some of the other players up the backside as well.

28 Oct 2025 16:03:02
Since Mr Marinakis took over at Olympiacos in 2011 he's had 24 managers, does he set the bar too high, inpatient!, t he's had good managers there, he's sacked Silva already there. Is his personality effecting Forest getting a decent coach?, just wish he would take a step back and let the people he employs do there jobs?.

Agree2 Disagree1

28 Oct 2025 16:13:18
Lost 6 0 to Barcelona last week, their in the champions league but obviously not at that level.

28 Oct 2025 16:43:48
Mossy.
He's definitely without a doubt highly impatient and expects quick results.
Too add to that I'd say he is also greedy with high expectations.
Taking a step would be make sense however he likes to be hand's on albeit too much.
I believe the need for results is part of his business acumen/ ethos being ruthless is probably an afterthought often resulting in firing.

This approach may work in Greece but here establishing a successful Premier League Club and Status takes a long time, patience and deep pockets.

28 Oct 2025 18:13:17
Under Evangelos Marinakis, Olympiacos has achieved significant domestic success, including 11 Greek League titles and a total of 48 Greek League titles as of June 2025. Internationally, the club won its first major European trophy by winning the Europa Conference League in 2024. The club also has a strong European ranking, and Marinakis's ownership has been marked by heavy investment in both the football team and the wider multi-sport club.

I bet Olympiacos fans are gutted! ?.

28 Oct 2025 20:30:33
Well said cyclist but wasted on a few.

28 Oct 2025 21:06:31
A few on this site dtp ?? but in the real world and off this site where there is not many posters nobody cares about what he's done with a poxy greek team in a poxy league they care about forest in the Premier league and how he's messing up with it.

28 Oct 2025 22:39:43
So your actually blaming marinakis then skeggs again?

28 Oct 2025 23:02:01
At least you know who I was talking about skeggs
And knew it was you
Nuno messed it up after 1st of April, picked a good day for you tbh.

29 Oct 2025 06:46:49
Olympiacos was a very successful team before Mr Marinakis, it was the equivalent of buying Liverpool here, apart from a coach called Martin's who got three and half seasons, the rest was lucky to get twelve months, inpatient!.
Not arguing about the amount of money he's put i into Nottingham Forest, but how much has been wasted!, tried to Google players brought by Forest and played less than three games?, I gave up.

Mr Marinakis seems unable to think long term, and relys on advisors who are poor or he just doesn't listen.

29 Oct 2025 09:54:21
Attention!
The mighty prophet DTP has Spoken!
Like Kim Jong Un we are all required to believe what DTP say's.
????.
As usual anyone who contradicts the Prophet is quashed as incorrect!

29 Oct 2025 10:39:15
Good post Mossy. It’s context again mate. I reckon my Mum could win all those titles in a Micky Mouse league the Greeks have. It’s a bit like managing Celtic and Rangers historically.

29 Oct 2025 10:43:30

28 Oct 2025 13:24:42
Question for Edu how did El Junior Kroopi slip through the net for 8m and we landed Kalimuendo for 27m

Because Kroopi looks a player and Kalimuendo should be giving rides on Skeggie beach! ?.

Agree2 Disagree1

28 Oct 2025 15:53:18
Hey munmad we only have the best donkeys on skegness beach. wouldn't make that team neither ??.

28 Oct 2025 16:14:53
Those Donkeys are now on annual leave, think some of our players are.

28 Oct 2025 20:13:47
Munmad don't encourage thise two
Hiw can anyone say kally is that bad when they've not seen him play like me and everyone else as he's not started a game to even judge
No use saying everyone's doom and gloom munmad and come put with that comment.

28 Oct 2025 09:28:30
Side and formation to beat Man U on Saturday

Sels

Savone
Milenkovic
Murrilo
Williams

Yates
Anderson
Luis
Dominguez

Gibbs White

Jesus

4-4-1-1

Subs Victor Ndoye Hudson Odoi Awoniyi Wood Hutchinson Jair Sangare Abbott.

Agree3 Disagree2

28 Oct 2025 15:04:40
Since Milenkovic got some stick as did Sels. How about Victor and Jair plus can Abbot play right back? Also Hutchinson made an impact so I would put him in instead of Dominguez. Awonyi rather than Jesus who has not impressed me to date.
Then at least we appear to want to score an elusive goal Let us assume a negative for a minute.

United are on the up, we are on the down. So will MMs team have rejuvenated by Saturday? That will be on SDs head. I hope and expect he has been tough with them this week. There is a need to keep a team I agree but also time to change.

28 Oct 2025 19:30:07
Hutchinson should be playing, he can't play in europa and he won't get better sitting on the bench, I would give him a run of pl games see what he can do.

28 Oct 2025 21:06:54
Monty very sensible as you say
But dyche will flog a few players to death and play them against Leeds I'm afraid
Looks like he won't use sangare and Yates is ahead
Awoniyi and wood will be preffered to jesus and kally because of physical presence,
Said it before and really hope I'm wrong but it's megson all over again.

31 Oct 2025 13:12:08
After all of our signings, if Yates is still in the team I'm off to watch county. Seen more flapping in the ground than on the river trent.

Dyche is only in the seat to get us out of the Championship next year - we are in good hands as Farkle (1st choice) looks like he will still be in a job.

The fragile bubble has burst - get over it. After all, We still don't have a goto striker after all these years and our keeper (say no more). its hardly suprising we are were we are.

Nuno was performing a minor miracle almost getting us into the champions league.
