Once AGAIN MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone, even the none believiers.
My brother in Australia gets up early the day after matches, to watch the Reds - he agrees that SD needs time! He also agrees that Ndoy, Morata and Sangare need to be moved on! My brother took me to my first game, I was about 8 - we lost 0-1 to Oxford United, Alan Whittle scored wearing white football boots!
Good on ya cobber!

Merry Christmas Keeff. Your brother sounds like he talks a lot of sense.
As an aside, do you remember being dicked for guard duty on Xmas Day back in the firm? Woken up at 6am by Officers forcing you to down a glass of port? Happy days (I think.! ).
09 Dec 2025 23:17:45
Oh yes, we got the hot totty port and wine mix, but we had shots of pernod lined up lol Christmas morning in the barracks, just the aroma of alcohol and brut aftershave lol
The best though, was being served Christmas diner by the senior ranks, they pelting them with Christmas pudding and custard!
09 Dec 2025 15:20:06
It, s time for some straight talking on here, all our current troubles go back to when Edu was linked with the club, people making excuses on here must sure realise this.
Up till then we were beginning to once again be taken seriously in football but it’s been down hill all the way since.
Why would he be bought in to completely rock the boat, a complete mystery to me.
There seemed to be real harmony but now mayhem.
It’s time to get rid before its to late because we are in real danger.
Come the Jan. window he, ll be bring us more poor signings if allowed, then there is the risk of breaking spending rules again and a 4 point deduction would more or less do for us.
The choice is simple Edu out or relegated.

Carlo that's just your opinion and you'll always be against marinakis and son, so there's no point debating it with you.
You can't see anything else could possibly be factors in things, it's not just as black and white as edu.
09 Dec 2025 16:08:19
You and Skegs need to stop Scapegoating and get behind the club and all its staff. Constantly blaming people will get us nowhere. Look for the positives. What's past is past what's done is done. Move on. A life lived in regret is no life at all.
09 Dec 2025 16:20:34
Thomas Federspiel has joined Ross Wilson at Newcastle, Federspiel was our South American scout, Thought Marinakis would have fought harder to keep them!.
09 Dec 2025 17:49:09
Lol constantly blaming people you heard yourselfs pot kettle. carlos just saying it has he sees it I agree since he's come in 200 million wasted 2 shh managers and what should of been our greatest season in decades could be turned into a shambles that's mine and Carlos opinion if you don't like it tough I won't lose any sleep over you disagreeing.
09 Dec 2025 18:04:09
Just saying what’s happened Skeg, no more no less.
No scapegoating these things have happened.
Obviously no one know what will happen but I for one fear the worst, who is to blame?
09 Dec 2025 18:45:54
Exactly carlo.
09 Dec 2025 18:47:22
Nuno spat his dummy out is what happened.
09 Dec 2025 19:16:15
????? who mentioned your crush dtp.
09 Dec 2025 19:27:46
pmsl, not like anyone to over react on here with knee jerk reactions:)
I blame Harold from Neighbours.
09 Dec 2025 19:35:27
How you know he spat his dummy out?
None of us can make assumptions what happened?
Agree or disagree with Carlo but it's not really scapegoating it doesn't have any effect against the club.
Carlo is making a statement and those who dislike the comments made are quick to jump on his case.
Opinions vary but it doesn't make Carlo any a lesser fan than the rest of us!
Keep posting Carlo and if other's wish to dislike what you put so be it.
It obviously gets their brain matter stirring as they respond. ????.
09 Dec 2025 19:53:37
Nice one Ripley and I blame King of the jungle angry gingekid ?.
09 Dec 2025 20:01:10
Carlo has always had a very low opinion of marinakis and his son ripely, he loves ot when things are going wrong, right from the day he bought the club, he's been on his case for all to read.
09 Dec 2025 22:27:39
Carlo came across as a very knowledgeable, humorous and well-reasoned supporter when I met with him at the TBI. Have you ever met with him DTP? I doubt it. Way too quick to judge. I refer back to Frog's/ my previous posts.
09 Dec 2025 23:28:42
Nuno has done the same thing at every club he's been at. Was Edu at all those clubs?
10 Dec 2025 07:55:37
Yes I have met him lego.
10 Dec 2025 18:15:09
Yes, I thought Carlo was a good man when I met him……. very reasonable and perceptive in his comments.
09 Dec 2025 11:27:00
Likely to be big changes in line up on Thursday. Maybe John, Abbott, Cunha, Bakwa, McAtee, Kalimuendo and some. youngsters coming in to give others a rest for Spurs on Sunday. I don't envy Dyche's decisions.
Agree2

09 Dec 2025 11:58:47
Can Cunha play not sure he can.
09 Dec 2025 12:22:46
SD I hope will give a number of first team players a complete rest ie not take them even on the flight. The squad will cope. We are likely not to qualify automatically for Europe this season, so this competition is important.
However the Spurs match is equally so. This is a dilemma for SD. He cannot have more injuries occurring in important players such as Murillo.
09 Dec 2025 13:23:03
Cuhna and Hutchinson not the europa squad
Chuck boly in with morato
I'd like to see
John
Abbott
Ndoye
Boly
Milenkovic
Morato
Sangare
CHO
Mcatee
Jesus
Kilumundo start
Always got the bench then if needed.
09 Dec 2025 14:35:19
Through adversity, Sean Dyche might stumble on a winning formula with the players he has at his disposal, you never know!.
09 Dec 2025 18:16:42
Utrecht are 7th in the Dutch league, drawn their last three games and down at the bottom end of the Europa League. Could be the time to do one over then without risking our front line players. Sunday has to be the priority.
09 Dec 2025 23:30:34
He might stumble on a winning formula? I'd be insulted if you said that about me and I was a Prem manger.
Shouldn't he be able to work out a winning formula if he's any good?
10 Dec 2025 02:47:29
RedCyclist stumble may be wrong word but thinking out of the box may be more apt, like when Burns an attacker but at centre half rest is history or Sutton sent "Up top" to cause problems ended up as SAS with Shearer as a great scoring partnership, Farke trying something different and so far it's working, Yates for sure would have played Thursday, know he's injured it's going to take some "thinking out of the box" to produce a compatible performance with one eye on the Spurs game!.
10 Dec 2025 10:47:50
I'm all for giving different players a chance. Partly because you have to protect players who are carrying small knocks and partly because if players don't get a chance then they can't prove themselves.

{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Leeds United v Liverpool - A Quick Liverpool Perspective
Agree0

09 Dec 2025 18:55:53
Another interesting post Ed. I have some sympathy with Salah’s “thrown under the bus “ interview. I've seen him against us and a few other games on TV and he seemed the brightest attacking spark, still sharp and with great pace. As you say, it’s Liverpool’s defence that is creaky, yet it’s Salah who is dropped.
Don’t get it but I’m not party to the off field politics. Perhaps Salah has engineered his final big post off in the Middle East but I think he still has a lot to offer in the Prem.
Is Salah one of those rare footballers who has a hinterland and a life beyond football, which he is now heartily sick of? What’s your informed view Ed. Perhaps he’s happy to bow out at the top with all his medals and accumulated glory?
Take a leaf out of Klopps book and step back?
{Ed001's Note - no mate, he doesn't want to go, this is all about him desperate to stay at Liverpool. He rejected over a million a week on offer if he had gone in the summer. He wants to stay in Liverpool and play for Liverpool. His family are settled, his wife can't do her work in Arabia, she is a scientist. His eldest daughter, in particular, is happy and settled in school and does not want to move. His primary focus is his family, what is best for them is what he wants, so him finding out that Liverpool are trying to sell him without even informing him first, has angered him.
He is one of those players that just wants to focus on the game, which is why he gets so fed up on international duty as the Egyptian FA will turn up at his hotel room at all hours of the night with guests wanting to meet him. When he should be resting ahead of a game the following day, they will be waking him up to speak to a sponsor. Going to somewhere like the USA or Arabia would lead to that kind of thing happening all the time. He is an obsessive trainer, he wants a professional environment. So I am not sure what will happen now.
Personally I would shift out Slot, Hughes and Edwards for treating a club legend like this. But I would also reluctantly tell Salah that his outburst means his position is untenable too. It is just that he can't be alone in leaving now.}
09 Dec 2025 19:35:09
Sadly, what Salah said is pretty similar to what Nuno said in terms of crossing a line, rightly or wrongly.
There isn't any coming back from that I am afraid.
{Ed001's Note - yeah it kills me to agree, but yes.}
10 Dec 2025 18:17:59
Thanks for your comments Ed. I think some people on here ( and generally ) think in terms of football manager type games without taking into account world class footballers are human beings too, with all the problems and complications that brings with it….
{Ed001's Note - it is easy to forget that.}
09 Dec 2025 04:45:38
I wonder if the West Ham game on the 6th of January will be Sean Dyches Waterloo?, if it goes bad for him and the Forest supporters start singing Nunos name it could be it. He's been unlucky with the injuries and players he's picked haven't been consistent, posted before how he responds to make his time here a success is in his own hands.
Looks like we can't get a break!, even in the FA cup we are drew away in a foreign country ?.

09 Dec 2025 11:23:30
We need to give him the rest of the season and beyond if he turns things around and improve the the team, if not Mr M then can move him on and set the coach merry go round in motion Again and that's that really just get behind the team roll out the banter and get with your fellow poster SIMPLES! ?????.
09 Dec 2025 11:28:13
He might throw away the FA Cup to concentrate on the League. If we field a second string side we'll get beaten.
09 Dec 2025 12:41:12
We'd get beaten if we put our first team out. we might as well go for fa cup because we ain't winning owt else.
09 Dec 2025 13:24:14
He's bound to play a weaker side against Wrexham, what else can he do?

I don't think Caiubano can be added to the squad (s) until the window opens in January. He would definitely have been useful.

"Only the best views come from the hardest climbs, can't see us climbing that much, rogie young man, please don't go throwing out on other teams results bud. My hate. We were simply pathetic saturday. What happens now is, fans look for excuses. Reds far too many overpaid nearly called em players, don't give me tiredness etc. Half them couldn't put a simple pass in. As for shots. Said before on here, if they'd shot at lennon he'd still be singing (so this is xmas) with kyle Minogue, no patience, no foot on the ball, no confidence final 3rd, my biggest hate, not playing for badge or fans.
That time of year, for hamstring sick notes. You watch. Looking at the set up reds. I'm starting to as myself, and tbh did before the arrival, what does woan and stone bring, don't tell me the inspiration, this lot were just wa nks as they played. Doc again for me was a forest snob. Know he done decent posts but I'm old school, (you don't own it) let the club breathe. I know funny old geordie. . all the best eds.

Well written bud. We are in a right mess and expecting other teams to get get out if it and not even half way through the season is pathetic. How many was there last night cheering Man U on last night to aid our plight. All self inflicted by a rich man who thinks he knows more about football than football people.

08 Dec 2025 16:12:04
So Merry Christmas everyone!
Now then, after watching the Everton debacle, how many more poor decisions will Forest get from ref's? Ndoy gets clattered from behind, off the ball by Shrek, no red card! It's the fastest I've seen Ndoy move in a red shirt by the way! Then a Forest pass hits the ref, gets deflected to a Everton player, and they go and score a second goal! From what I remember of the rules, it should have been a drop ball to Forest! I've just read that the PGMOL agree it should have been a drop ball!

Good post Red Trees. I said in a previous post I’d be interested in the result of the complaint Forest had put in. We didn’t deserve anything from our performance but an assist by the ref then a stonewall Red Card for violent conduct might have changed the course of the game. The lucky lad Tarkowski made a goal line clearance later as well mate!
08 Dec 2025 17:27:38
I heard we're in talks to sign said Referee!

08 Dec 2025 17:49:06

08 Dec 2025 21:33:21
. and they are!
09 Dec 2025 03:23:53
Here we go always someone else's fault. Blame anybody but the hapless clowns out on the pitch. Who were pathetic from start to finish. Dyche having em lumping it up the field at every available opportunity to pint size Jesus against 6'5" centre backs. Laughable tactics.
09 Dec 2025 14:15:03
I think you missed the bit in my post Larry that said “We didn’t deserve anything from our performance “. ……. Reffing errors just rubbed salt into the wound. It’s always best to read the whole lot rather than just selected bits mate ….
08 Dec 2025 12:20:31
What would you do with manager/ coach who got you to highest position in years, got you into Europe, to FA semi, s, got several players hitting the best form ever, created real harmony.
I, d undermine him by bringing in a disruptive influence who I, d allow to spend millions on players the coach didn’t want.
I stop listening to him and pay all my attention to the influencer and you know what I, d do, Sack him!
Then we, d find the polar opposite of him to run the team then I sit back and watch us really take off.
Yes it it’s Pantomiming time once again.

It's not just Edu!, Mendes had his nose pushed out by Edus arrival, lost his influence with Marinakis, , telling it was Mendes who sorted the deal out for Nuno at West Ham!.?
08 Dec 2025 12:59:19
Nearly every clinic runs the same way you really think nuno will have any control at West ham woth Bradey and co there, he did exactly the same at wolves before us, mr M isn't blameless but not the sole reason.

08 Dec 2025 13:37:46

08 Dec 2025 14:21:05
Do you honestly think Pep, Howe Moyes, Arteta ect. have no say.
08 Dec 2025 16:30:35
Great post Carlo. However, let's step inside the mind of N. E. S for a while. Watching/ listening to him yesterday at Brighton, he doesn't strike me as someone who has much of a conscience about leaving us as you stated Carlo: Crest of a wave, (or gentle swell), it was great! ("you'll have to drag me out of here, Ev.! Champion's league and League Cup next lad's.
).
Instead he left and found himself straight to West Ham. What does he think about when he wakes up? Does he still think about the players and fans who feel let down by his departure? Does he have a vindictive side/ Is he sulking? It was quite a metamorphosis! (Dropped a bit of Kafka in there Stokey! )
08 Dec 2025 17:43:22
Yes, I spotted that Norfolk my friend. It can be quite a “Trial” to be a “Stoker” sometimes……???.
08 Dec 2025 12:15:23
Mo ( it’s all about me) Salah is a disgrace and along with Konate and Van Dyke had been playing pub football this season
Fair play to Slot did a difficult thing by benching him! Don’t get me wrong I despise Liverpool and hope they continue to struggle
But Salah and Isak are both rotten apples and it only takes one to ruin the team.

Let’s judge Sean Dyche when he has a full team to chose from and atm he has the spine of his team missing Murrilo Luis and Wood the list goes on Aina had been a huge miss as has Awoniyi who was just starting to show some form
We will be fine this season 11/ 12th in my opinion.
Agree1

08 Dec 2025 10:51:57
I've judge him already on his past record and his time with us. Totally useless. We will achieve nothing with him in charge. Marinakas obsession with employing out of work managers is killing us.
He's apparently obsessed with Marco Silva too. He's really ripping it up with Fulham ? Nothing to look forwards to for years to come sadly
.
08 Dec 2025 12:24:24
It doesn't matter about the injuries there's 100s millions pounds worth of talent still on that field there was no fight in that team whatsoever if you as a manager can't install confidence into the team that's playing and make them at least show up and fight for the game then games are half lost by the kick off.
08 Dec 2025 16:16:17
So Larry, you’d judge SD on his past record would you and his record with us?
He kept under resourced and underdogs Burnley in the Prem for TEN YEARS and got them into Europe one year. That’s a miraculous achievement. He did the same for skint and points deducted Everton.
He’s had 6 WEEKS at Forest. With a depleted squad, injuries to key players and the club in a shambles after Nuno and Ange’s departure he’s
lost 3, won 5, drawn 2 out of 10 games.
Wtf are you talking about?
08 Dec 2025 16:17:40
How can the team be missing a player who has never really been in it? I'm on about Luiz, obviously.
Agree, we're missing the Aina from last season, but we haven't had that player this season even when he was fit. Same for Wood.
The boss has the job of managing the squad in Europe and getting the best out of the players who are fit, and getting the old Wood and Aina back. He isn't doing that job very well at the moment.
As for Luiz, he hasn't been properly fit at all this season and a lot of last season. It looks like we might be better making sure we don't trigger the number of appearances where we are obliged to sign him permanently if that is an option. Sad because he is a fantastic player when fit, but you can't carry a crock and pay massive wages.
08 Dec 2025 16:29:47
Correction, he kept Burnley in the Prem for 7 years and spent 2 years getting them back up from the Championship. Still an amazing achievement for such a small club.
08 Dec 2025 17:32:45
It’s no coincidence that we look ponderous at the back Cyclist when our two quickest defenders Aina and Murillo aren’t fit mate.
I don’t understand your comment about it somehow being SD’s fault that Wood and Aina aren’t back to fitness? I mean we have one Jesus in the squad but how many miracle workers do you want? ?????.
08 Dec 2025 17:41:50
Dycheball hasn't a clue simples.
08 Dec 2025 18:59:47
Can you unpack that statement a bit Skegs? A bit of evidence gathered over his 6 weeks and 10 games in charge perhaps? And, as a postscript, who would you rather have as coach instead?
08 Dec 2025 19:33:36
We've beat crap Liverpool Leeds and just beat wolves. and dyche only got the job because no decent manager would come to us with edu and maranakis looking over there shoulder. So wouldn't really matter who I wanted as no decent manager would come anyway.
08 Dec 2025 19:49:01
I meant Dyche isn't doing a good job of getting the best out of the players who are fit. We look cr4p.
It will also be his job to get the old (last seasons) Wood and Aina back (when they are fit, obviously). Poorly worded.
Not sure why you've nailed your colours to the Dyce mast so firmly, Stokey. I don't always agree wirth Larry, but his position looks more likely to be right than yours.
I'd love to see the local connection succeed, but it looks unlikely to me on recent evidence. To manage a team in Europe, you have to manage a squad not just a 1st team.
08 Dec 2025 21:01:22
We’ll see Cyclist, time will tell mate.
Skeggs, we lost to ( a then in form) Bournemouth, and a flying Brighton and Everton, , all those games coming after Europa and tight schedules plus a depleted squad. Let’s see how we do when we get a few key players back ( or alternatively reinforcement in January ).
08 Dec 2025 21:20:24
I Hope SD does well but feel that Mr M will make a move for Silva from Fulham at end of season.
Can't judge SD yet he has inherited a side low on confidence, with some additional odd buys in the transfer window and 7 players out injured.
Hopefully get these players back and some players will not have to play twice a week and can rotate those that are not performing.
08 Dec 2025 21:20:35
Few more edu signings in January will definitely finish us off.
08 Dec 2025 22:01:33
That’s a great and sensible post Monty.
It’s not that I’ve nailed my colours to SD mast, just that I think we should give him more than 6 bloody weeks and 10 games. Ange left a right mess for SD to try to sort out, itself following on from division and chaos left by Nunos departure. Ultimately, the fault of Mr M who makes the appointments and calls the shots.
None of the 3 coaches I’ve mentioned are fools. They know football is results based and they will be the sacrificial lambs as the Head Honcho is untouchable no matter what his personal culpability.
But we don’t want to perpetuate the managerial roundabout. It’s getting like the expendable Death Star captains under Darth Vader. Stability and some semblance of continuity are priority atm.
By the way, Skeggs, I thought you ducked out of the question as to whom you would appoint and what you would do differently? It’s only an opinion I’m after, none of us are actually Mr M.
08 Dec 2025 22:06:22
By the way Skeggs, I agree Wolves are ?but wasn’t it Liverpool who beat Real Madrid and Leeds who beat Chelsea?
09 Dec 2025 06:33:16
Thiago motta done wonders with bologna. had crap time at juve but they lost a lot of good players before he took job on. would suit our tactics and team only young and out of work at minute.
09 Dec 2025 14:18:24
That’s Skeggs I’ll have at Jake further down the line mate. I must admit it’s a new name to me but I’m confident SD will do a good job for us this season and lay a foundation for next.
